What's great about it: Interactive, always entertaining, great party game, GREAT songs

"The Guitar Hero series is by far the best interactive game out there. Guitar Hero 3 stands out out of all of them because its gameplay. With the new "Battle Mode", you can have a new experience with it. The individual songs are amazing. Their is a wide range of songs, from the '70s to today. And with online capabilities, you can buy even MORE songs! This game has a good multiplayer feature also, but you have to have 2 guitars. The interface of the game is easy to use also. The graphics of the game are beautiful too, the environments you play in change, and you can feel it. Basically, Guitar Hero 3 is a perfect game."

What's great about it: A lot of good interactive fun
What's not so great: Addicting

"The Guitar Hero series is a very entertaining one. It's a game anyone can pick up and start playing but includes ample challenges for the heavier game looking to master something most never will. The song list on Guitar Hero 3 is much better than the previous GH games with more recognizable bands. As the series picked up steam they had a larger budget for this game.

GH3 was developed by NeverSoft whereas the previous games were done by Harmonix. The difference here is that NeverSoft looked more in depth at the songs to match the notes and chords and in doing so made this game considerably more challenging than its predecessors. There are many songs in this one that require a lot of practice and mastery of advanced techniques to complete on Expert level.

People criticize saying you should just learn a real guitar and this can't possibly make you feel like you're actually playing. But, it does draw you in and is a good option for someone who wants to feel like they're part of the song without spending the time/money on a real guitar."

What's great about it: FUN IF YOUR WITH SOMEONE
What's not so great: PEOPLE MOVE LIKE ROBOTS, SET-LIST ISNT TERRIFIC

"OK GRAPHICS, ONLY PLAYED TILL I BEAT IT ON EASY MEDIUM AND HARD. FUN TO PLAY WITH FRIENDS. SET LIST COULD HAVE BEEN MUCH BETTER. I STILL RECOMMEND IT."

"This is a fun game no matter if you are a beginner, or an expert at guitar hero. Don't have friends at your skill level to battle with? No problem, play online through xbox live.
Mastered all the songs? Download some new ones. They have really delivered with making a ton of downloadable content available."

What's great about it: Good Setlist, More Notes and Easier Hammer-Ons Much Better Graphics Than GH2
What's not so great: Gets Old After a While Esp. After Your Guitar Breaks >:-Z, Expensive DLC

"I'll admit, I love the setlist. And the graphics are sensational...well atleast after playing any other GH game. The easier hammer-ons do sorta make the game a little too easy, but the ridiculous number of notes help to even the difficulty out. I got sick of it after maybe 6 enjoyable months, which I guess is a rather long time when it comes down to it. And the guitar is terrible, don't buy it. And after Rock Band came out with every instrument and cheaper DLC, it was a no-brainer on which was superior."

"It's guitar hero. Everyone loves it. Though its rated T, i think it can be played around younger kids. I don't like the story(Not really an issue that makes me decide to buy the game or not). Some of the songs are just horrible.For instance, Radio Song?

What's great about it: The most challenging Guitar Hero game out to date!
What's not so great: Some of the music gets old after a while

"This is by far the best Guitar Hero game out to date! I have played Guitar Hero II and Guitar Hero Aerosmith, and this is the game I always return to if I want to challenge my skills or rock out to some awesome songs. I have been playing this game since December of '07, and to this day I still play it for HOURS at a time! I've grown from mastering the songs on Easy in a matter of days, to being a pro at Hard and still working on the last songs of the Expert difficulty level in less than a year. This game is crazily addictive, and I recommend it to everyone!!!"
