"i just bought a 360. before i had a ps2 and guitar hero 3. on ps2 THE GAME GLITCHED ALOT. if you turn on star power, it would skip ahead and make you miss like 15 notes. IT SUCKED. then i played it on 360 and it did not glitch ever. IT IS AMAZING."

What's great about it: outstanding game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"This game is one of the best games ever.It has wonderful graphics and gameplay is great.You are allowed to do lots of things with this game.The multiplayer is one of the best things about this videogame.You also get to pick through lots of characters.
The only bad thing is in the start of the game you get the same characters as all the others.The game doesnt have any reported glitches so gameplay is smooth sailing.You also get to pick through lots of new songs.
This game is really worth your money if you buy it.
I recommend this game to every gamer and to people who are looking for a good challenge.

"This is just a great game, there are no instruments but I have rockband for that and this game makes up for that with the music that I like that is not in rockband, The boss battles are fun whereelse could you break one of Slash's strings?"

What's great about it: Great songs and battle characters (bosses)
What's not so great: None.
"This is definitely the best Guitar Hero game that has been made yet. I will admit that it gets a bit boring after you beat it a couple of times unless you begin to download more songs from online or just play songs for fun. It also includes some great bonus songs, and also cool guitars that you are able to buy at the store. Well, the one in the game itself. Overall, it is by far, a favorite of mine."

Amazing Game

What's great about it: Good graphics, response time with guitar is quick, practice mode
What's not so great: Hands may hurt after playing for a long time
"This game is amazing. I wouldn't be lying if I said that I've played it for over 4 hours straight one night because it was so fun. The difficulty levels are a great thing because you can work your way up to expert and gain the skills you need to play on that level just from practice. The songs are better than Guitar Hero 2, and I actually now have over 10 songs from the game on my iPod because they're so good. None of the songs are boring to play either which is what keeps me going back to the game and playing it."

What's great about it: Great selection of music
What's not so great: Not enough songs availible online
"Guitar Hero III is by far of the best one of the series so far. The new battle mode is awesome and I am glad they added the two player career mode. The amount of songs and the selection is much better than the second game. I would have to say the only con is that there aren't enough new song availible online. I can't wait to see what they do with Guitar Hero IV."

A decent music game

What's great about it: Great songs and a good challenge.
What's not so great: graphics and performance lacking.
"I've been following Guitar Hero since the first one and this is the first one not made by Harmonix. I personally don't like how they changed things. It feels more like I am randomly pressing buttons instead of playing a guitar. They made it easier too pull off solo parts by allowing you to not have to hit the notes to the beat. So now you can be completly off beat but, as long as you hit the proper notes in order you'll get them. They also made the solos even crazier so it ended up being harder than the previous game. The graphics are probably about the same as on Guitar Hero 2 which that game didn't look the greatest. They added boss battles this time which doesn't add a whole lot but, they can be fun. This game also features a two player campaign and online play which is good.
Overall this is a decent music game, but there are better ones out there."

"I loved the songs, I would like to see the ability to jam without it hurting your star power added. I would like to see songs from bands I at least recognize be in the bonus section."

"Nothing bad about this game, i bought it for my boyfriend as an anniversary gift, and it was an awsome game for us to play. Im not muc for video games that have no real meaning, but this one teaches you to concentrate on what you are doing and helps you memorize things, and also keeps you on your toes to learn how to keep a beat! His a dj and his brothers are in a rockband, now they have a little something in common and are getting a long a little better. =)

"This is a great game in a great saga. It has to be the best for graphics and songs. Also when you've beat it the harder levels will feel like a whole new game. Then theres the multiplayer, which is a lot of fun. but not only can you battle and co-op you can also campaign co-op which will unlock new songs otherwise unlockable. You can also download new songs.
I would definately recommend this to everyone. Once you own it you'll pick up on how it works and its a great family game."

"The game is awsome, the song list could be a little better though. It has some really good songs but it should have some more, i don't know, ac/dc, pink floyd, def lepard, foreginer, who knows mabie even some led zepplin. Overall it is a really, REALLY good game."
