Samsung 7.3 Cu. Ft. 9-Cycle Super Capacity Electric Dryer

Model: DV328AEW
SKU: 8499555
UPC: 036725514461
Think of the built-in moisture sensor on this dryer as insurance that when you pull a pair of jeans out at the end of a cycle the pockets will be dry. The spacious 7.3 cu. ft. capacity easily takes on large loads or bulky items such as comforters and quilts.

What's great about it: the sensor dry is great ,the clothes dry faster and are dry when the dryer stops
What's not so great: nothing
we replaced a fridgidaire gallery dryer, this Samsung dryer dries in half the time, clothes are fluffy and don't need dryer sheets(samsung states in the manual not to use dryer sheets). we would buy another samsung if this one were to die. I would recommend the black tie protection as a precaution for piece of mind due to the electronics although i don't expect to use it.

What's great about it: Quiet and energy efficient
What's not so great: no complaints yet
We bought this Samsung dryer along with the new washing machine. First off, WOW! The drying time has been cut in half compared to our old front loader. 40 minutes for a full load of jeans. We got brave and decided to wash and dry our queen sized comforter, not only did it fit but it dried it also. It took about 60-75 minutes to dry the comforter. The dryer is very quiet, easy to use, and the graphical display helps you klnow what you are doing. We are very pleased with this purchase so far.

What's great about it: gets clothes dry the first time, large capacity
THis dryer works great, it has a very large capacity for large loads or bedding. It has an option to dry almost anything from the very delicate to the very large loads that take a long time to dry

What's great about it: Great for the price.
What's not so great: none
We love the set! Works great and is user friendly! Just a word to the wise, no dryer sheets. I did not know that and delivery guy had to tell me. It gets the clothes dry, no wrinkles, and they smell great!

What's great about it: Clothes are dry at the end of the cycle
What's not so great: Nothing
Purchased a Samsung washer/dryer pair in Jul 2008 and am still enjoying doing laundry. I had a 20 year old Whirlpool dryer and clothes took 2-3 drying cycles to dry. I was used to 1 to 1.5 hours to dry a load. My very first load in the Samsung dryer took 20 min! I've used every cycle, except timed dry. The preset cycles work just fine from my delicates to towels/bedding. I have noticed if the load is too small, say 2-3 items, the dryer won't pull out all the moisture, so I stick with a pretty good sized load. Both the washer/dryer pair fit in the closet sized washroom on the second floor. Pedestal is a must. I am so pleased with my Samsung washer/dryer pair that I'm now looking at other Samsung appliances for my kitchen.

What's great about it: Looks
What's not so great: Durability/Service Availability
Have had the dryer for 3 months. Its broken and apparently impossible to find anyone who services Samsung in the Northern Virginia area - a huge metropolitan area. Called about 15 appliance repair companies, none service Samsung. Finally got one that said they could come out in 25 days to look at it. Still unresolved. Very disappointed with the ability to get service for this appliance. Up until the time it broke it was drying the clothes well.

What's great about it: Drying sensors, wrinkle prevention
I purchased the Samsung washer/dryer pair over the LG due to the lower price, a free pedestals promotion, and after learning that the Samsung models are very similar to the LG's and have received similar reviews. (The only negatives to both brands are that the computer motherboards are at risk to go out - so I did something I usually do not do and purchased the optional product protection package.) I have been very happy with my Samsungs and would recommend them to others.

What's great about it: Able to stack, quiet
What's not so great: Maintenence within the first 5 months
Our 5 month old dryer (we bought the washer/dryer pair) went out. It would not do anything. We went through Samsung for warrenty repair work. Samsung could absolutely care less about their customers! We finally got a repair company to come out and fix it 3 weeks after our first work order was placed. He indicated that the mother board had gone out an would have to be repaced. He said that this is a common occurance, and that it usually goes out about every 6 months at a cost of $300 to $400! I am very displeased with the work they did. I also wanted him to reverse my door since I had them stacked, but he refused to do it because it was too much work. The sensor does not work right. Sometimes it will shut off after just 3 or 4 minutes of drying. I wish I had gone with another brand.

What's great about it: Quiet, efficient, easy to use
What's not so great: Lots of static!
I love this dryer. I bought it (and the matching washer) in November 2007 and have no complaints really. The stainless steel drum will result in a lot of static in certain fabrics if you do not use a fabric softener. It does what it is supposed to do, and it does it quickly and quietly. It replaced a 18-yr-old Whirlpool dryer, and I have never looked back. Love the pedestal too. No more bending over to pull things out. I bought the extended warranty for both the washer and dryer and hope not to have to use them, but with the electronic controls, I was a little nervous.
