What's great about it: EVERYTHING
What's not so great: NOTHING
"I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO EXCITED ABOUT WASHING MACHIENES IN MY LIFE UNTIL I PURCHASED THIS SAMSUNG. I WAS HAVING A HARD TIME MAKING A DECISION ON WHICH BRAND TO PURCHASE. MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY ALL HAVE FRONT LOADERS. (ALL DIFF BRANDS) I DECIDED TO GO W/ THE SAMSUNG AND BE DIFFERENT. MY WORRY WAS NOISE AND VIBRATION WHICH SEEMS TO BE THE BIGGEST PROBLEM. OUR LAUNDRY ROOM IS RIGHT OFF OUR KITCHEN SO I WANTED A QUIET MACHIENE. WELL, I MUST SAY MY DECISION TO GO WITH THE SAMSUNG WAS THE RIGHT ONE. I WAS SO SCARED TO DO THE FIRST LOAD. I WAS HOPING THAT I WOULD NOT BE DISSAPOINTED. I WAS NOT ONE BIT DISSAPOINTED I CAN'T BELIEVE HOW QUIET THIS MACHIENE IS!! I DID NOT EVEN KNOW IT WAS ON AND RUNNING UNTIL THE CUTE LITTLE CHIM CAME ON TO TELL ME MY WASH LOAD WAS DONE. OUR HOUSE IS OVER 100YRS OLD AND THE FLOOR IN THE LAUNDRY ROOM IS BY FAR NOT LEVEL. NO VIBRATION AT ALL. THIS MACHIENE IS A TON MORE QUIET THAN OUR TOP LOADER EVER WAS. THIS WASHER IS SO EASY TO USE ,THE FEATURES IT OFFERS DOES NOT EVEN COMPARE TO OTHERS IN THE SAME PRICE RANGE. THE SILVER CARE IS A PLUS AND I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER. THIS IS THE BEST PURCHASE I HAVE EVER MADE IN A HOME APPLIANCE. IT IS WELL WORTH THE PRICE AND WORTH EVERY PENNY SPENT."

What's great about it: SilverCare, VRT, Gets Clothes Clean!
What's not so great: Leaving the door open after use to let it air out to prevent mildew smell
"I purchased the Samsung washer/dryer front load pair over the LG model due to the lower price, a free pedestals promotion from Samsung, and after learning that the Samsungs received similar reviews to the LG. I love the SilverCare setting from Samsung - wow, do the clothes, towels, sheets & bedding get clean! The SilverCare setting adds about 20-30 minutes of time to the cycle but it is worth it. I never thought I'd notice such a dramatic difference upgrading from my old washer/dryer, but I have."

What's great about it: What a Quite!
"We purchased this washer based on the recommendation of a sales representative. What a quite! We are suppresed at the quitness. We installed this one on the second floor. We run it, but dose not hear anything. We go and check whether it is running or not. We are satifisfied. The ease of this washer is great! We love it. Samsung is much better than what we expected."

What's great about it: Easy to operate, towels and clothes are so clean & soft feeling!Great for upstairs-does not shake my house like old one!
What's not so great: Nothing really-Just takes a little longer to wash a load of laundry-but completely worth it & not an inconvenience.
"Looked at an LG set, among others, but I am completely satisfied with this set. Our laundry feels so much nicer. The washer and dryer are so quiet, and they perform so well. This is our first front loader and the delivery driver said he's had to come pick front loaders back up because they spin so hard and walk across floors- Well I don't know which ones he's used to delivering- but I sure won't be calling him to come back for these! These are upstairs, in a house that's over 100 years old and you wouldn't know they are even running! The "my cycle" option-among all the others- is great! The silver care is an awesome feature! This machine takes such small amounts of the HE detergent and Downy- added to the savings in electricity and water, it pays for itself while you experience the best your clothes, towels, and blankets-even King sized comforters- have felt and smelled!
Even the teens in the house enjoy doing their own laundry since we got this set! If you do laundry everyday and you want clean clothes- I definately recommend this set."

What's great about it: Easy to use and gets clothes clean
What's not so great: The place where soap is added has to slide out and is vulnerable to damage
"I had a terrible experience with Maytag and was concerned that a front loading washing machine was not capible of getting clothes truly clean. This machine has changed my mind--it does a great job of cleaning and is very quiet. I enjoy the sounds its alarms make when a washing cycle is complete."

First Washer Purchase

What's great about it: Excellent Purchase
What's not so great: should have gotten it in red
"We just built a new home and the laundry room is on the second floor. The laundry room is directly over the light in the kitchen. The first time we used it everyone was watching the light to see if it was moving during the spin cycle. The light DID NOT move at all during that cycle and I was so thankful.
If you are second guessing yourself like my hubby and I did, you need not to worry.
I would highly recommand both the washer and dryer. It was a very smart purchase!!!!!!

What's great about it: Vibration reduction that REALLY works
What's not so great: Doesn't fold clothes for me.
"I work with appliances and have the opportunity to test them. I have never had any front load washing machine eliminate vibration like the VRT machines can. They are the only machines that actively balance the load (vs. adding weight to the drum to make it harder to shake). The other highlight of the Samsung frontl loader is Silvercare which allows for cold water sanitary cycles. I use this when my daughter neglects to take her swimsuit out of her gymbag and the evils of the world use it as a portal for entry. Fabrics like that shouldn't be blasted with high temperatures or assaulted with bleach; colloidal silver is a great answer and it works. 5 star rating says it all."

Washes clean, but smells

What's great about it: washes clean, gets stains out, and isn't hard on clothes
What's not so great: Smells - Can't get the smell out
"We had this washer for exactly one year when we had to move out of state. The minute the movers disconnected the washer, I noticed a strong, moldy, smell. I had no idea what it was. The mover said that it's very common in front load washers. It has been seven months since we moved, and I still can't get the smell out. I tried clorox, vinigar, baking soda, dish washer liquid, powder detergent, wet vac, leaf blower, letting it air out, etc..... The smell just won't come out! If it weren't upstairs, I would take it apart outside. People say that they dry out the washer after each use. Well, my washer runs all day every day. It wouldn't do any good to dry it after each use. I have three kids, and I always have something to wash. I have spent so much time trying to get the smell out. We also bought the Samsung dryer at the same time we bought the washer. The dryer already needs service! It will not heat up enough to dry in one cycle. It could be that the vent is clogged, but I won't find out for a few days. It will be serviced within 4 days. When we get the dryer going, we are going to sell the set and go with a different brand!"

Super quiet

What's great about it: Cleans extremely well, clothes smell and look clean, very quiet
What's not so great: none
"I looked at front loading machines off and on for 6 mos. I read the Consumer Reports, spoke with friends who own front loaders, picked many salesperson's brains, read actual consumer reviews and am happy to say I made a great choice. I previously owned a Whirlpool top loader that did a pretty good job and was working when I donated it but it was just too small and not energy efficient. We already saw our water bill go down. I do approx 4-5 loads of laundry per week -vs 9 loads for a family of 5. I am spending far less time doing laundry and that is a huge benefit for a busy Mom. But the best thing is how clean the clothes look and smell and you do not even know the machine is running, even when it is spinning at full rpms. It is really amazing. I would recommend the Samsung over LG or Whirlpool front loaders any day."

"I love my new washer. I only have used it for about 3 weeks, but I use it every day. Doing laundry was my least favorite chore, but not anymore.
Most of wash can be done in 30 minutes. Less electricity and less water. It has many other features for special needs such as sanitizing or bedding wash cycyels.
Definitely a great purchase!"

What's great about it: Qiuiet, saves water, no vibration
What's not so great: deeper that top loaders; have to have the doors adjusted on the closet
"We purchased this washer with matching dryer after much research; due to space issues we wanted a stackable pair and because we have a laundry closet in the kitchen we needed something quiet. The reviews we read on other washers seemed to have the same common problem-vibration during spin and especially on wood floors. After seeing the demonstration on VRT in the store we thought we would give this washer a try; we also liked the silver care technology (I am a long time nurse and am familiar with silver having bacteriostatic properties), the diamond drum (the lack of lint in the dryer proves that it works!) and the fact that it uses less water and detergent.
During the first spin cycle we held our breath-not only was the washer on a wood floor, the house is on piers-We could barely hear it and there was NO vibration whatsoever. Then, when the cycle was finished, the washer played an electronic tune-Schubert's Trout Quintet; a delight!
I have to say that these are the two best appliances that we have ever owned and we would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone."

What's not so great: Longer wash times
"This is a quality product. I have used front loading washers in the past so was aware of the length of time it takes to wash a load so this is not a major issue for me. The machine is very quiet and there is little vibration, if any. I do wipe off the door and the rubber gasket after each wash and I have had no smell. This was written about in other reviews I read but is easily remedied with very little effort. My washer is on the pedestal and it makes it very convenient otherwise it may be a little akward to get the washed clothes out. But be sure to measure you space accurately because the pedestal does raise the machine a considerable amount. I highly recommend this washer."

"Even if you had the child lock on, it can still be turned off if you hit the power button. The washing cycle or timer will start all over again even if your halfway the washing cycle."

"My husband and I both love our washer. It is easy to use, quiet and looks great. The SilverCare technology is wonderful for bedding and towels...they smell so fresh! Other than there being no water-level adjustment for small loads, I have no complaints whatsoever!"

What's not so great: Be Careful of uneven loads
"I love this washer, I got it about four months ago, and it is the greatest invention. I feel like my clothes are cleaner and I use a ton less detergent. The only downfall is that you have to make sure that your loads are fairly even, or it throws the whole wash off."
