Fantastic TV   04/21/2008
By MB10

What's great about it: Great Picture with very black blacks
What's not so great: None

"This TV is big...- make sure that you're able to sit far enough away. There are plenty of seating distance calculators online to help you determine the appropriate distance you'll need. Im currently sitting 11 feet away which may be a little close for most peoples liking. Best bet is to go to BestBuy with a tape measure and see what feels comfortable to you.
It's also very heavy...if you're planning on mounting this TV, be sure to invite some strong friends over. It took 3 of us to get this on the wall.
Once installed, the picture is fantastic. It makes you feel like you're at the game!"

Awesome Picture   03/10/2008
By vickruc from Southern NJ

What's great about it: Fantastic color, unbelieveble sound
What's not so great: $1000 stand - c'mon panasonic - should be included

"Took delivery end of Feb- had always been Sony but their prices for anything over 52 inches (non-projection) was out of my range- i.e.- 71" LCD model for $32,999- way too much!! Read consumer reports and all Panasonic's plasmas were rated tops with best pictures seen to date! I knew Panasonic had great reliability so I decided on this 65" model. I'm impressed! Only downside --$1000 for the stand that should be included for a TV at this price."

Great TV   02/10/2008
By acbandit from Las Vegas, NV

What's great about it: great sound, great picture
What's not so great: stand not included

"When I saw this TV at Best Buy, I wanted it right away. I own another Pioneer plasma so I was looking for another Pioneer. This TV has amazing picture but what surprised me the most was the amazing sound! At the store, they had it on mute and I had read the sound was good but I never imagined how good it really was. I was planning on buying a sorround sound but with this TV you don't need it! The bass is amazing. It sounds like if it's coming from a subwoofer. That is uncommon for a TV."

Viera - The Perfect Plasma   01/01/2008
By RBGunyon from Evergreen, Colorado

What's great about it: Vivid Contrast, Deep Blacks, Lifelike Colors
What's not so great: Stand not included

"I have owned Plasma TV's for 7 years, and the Viera by Panasonic is by far the best overall HDTV Plasma I have ever watched"
Picture quality rivals the best projection units. By incorporating 3 HDMI plugs, Panasonic has greatly expanded the interconnection possibilities.
Setup is simple with easy to follow menus, and the unit is ready for broadcast HD right out of the box. Altitude is not a problem, so for those of us up in the Rocky Mountains the Viera can be viewed at 9,500 ft without any quality degradation."
