What's great about it: Not a lot

I loved this player when I first bought it even though I think $100 is a little high. Maybe $50 would be a better price. The only thing I had a problem with at first was fitting the Zune player on the dock correctly. If it's not connected JUST RIGHT no sound will come out. Also, don't bother with those extra pieces to "fit" the player on, they just block your Zune from connecting. I used it at work and it was great for my desk.
But then about 6 months after I bought it the thing shorted out on me. So I bought a new dock, same model. That one shorted out today while it was playing after 4 months. Keep in mind I only had this sitting on my desk, away from food and liquids and it was never moved around so there is no reason it should have broken down. I will not pay another $100 again just so the next one can break down.
I wish Zune had more speaker options available. There is another dock for Zune called a Kicker (I'm pretty sure that's the name of it) but it's a bit more expensive. That's what I'm looking for.

What's great about it: NOTHING
What's not so great: EVERYTHING
I hate these speakers because first and foremost the docking is faulty. I have to stick the Zune on there 10 times to get it to dock correctly. Also, the sound quality is mediocre and the volume is not significant for all situations. Finally, mine has shorted out after only infrequent use for about 10 months.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What's great about it: It sounds GREAT!!
What's not so great: The antena has to be straight up for the tuner to sound clear, so it's a little inconvenient.
I WAS A LITTLE LEARY BECAUSE I WASN'T FAMILIAR WITH THIS BRAND. BUT IT HAS EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATIONS. IT'S CONVENIENT FOR TRAVEL AND ONLY USE 3 AA BATTERIES. IT SOUNDS GREAT. YOU WONT GO WRONG WITH THIS PRODUCT

i have the 120 and was a little worried cause some reviews said it would not play the 120 but i decided to find out for myself and im glad i did. it played the120 fine. the battery life is awsome i bought this before a camping trip put 3 batteries in and it played for about 15 hours pretty loud before i noticed the sound was getting lower. this thing is sweet

I loved the way it sounded and looked great but could not handle the Zune 120gb I have, it made me mad to pay all that money for a Piece of @!**!

What's great about it: The sound quality is awesome and it has AMAZING battery life
What's not so great: A little bit over priced.
I bought a Zune 120GB at the same time that I bought this dock. I brought it home and opened it and it looks very nice. I loaded my MP3's into my zune and then I went to plug it into the dock. It comes with 2 clip in zune inserts, each a different size, so it will hold either the 30/80/120GB, or the 4/8/16GB zune. I put in the bigger one for my 120GB zune and then I plugged my zune in but I couldnt get any sound to play. Then I realized that the insert was preventing the zune to sit all the way down. After removing the clip I put the zune in without any clip it sits fine. When I finally played some songs I was very impressed. The sound is wonderful and comparable to a Bose system. It allows you to choose bass boost and/or surround sound. A few days later I wanted to use it on my coffee table which is not near a wall outlet. I put in 3 generic walgreens brand AA alkaline batteries and I played music from it for a total of 8 hours and it still hasn't died (I purposely looked at the clock because I wanted to know how long it will last before I change the batteries). Some of my friends have I-Pods and when they come over this speaker dock has an auxillary input jack which they can just plug their Mp3 player into and play their songs on it as well. I have read the other reviews on this item and I dont know what happened with those people but my experience with it is a really good one.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Well, to start, the power button had to be pushed like 3 times before it turned on, the remote sucked and the worst thing of all was that every time I put my zune in the dock it would always stop the song in the middle of it and replay the same song. It would never play a second song. It would just play one song over and over. DON'T BUY THIS!

I will be returning this to the store. For 99.99 this is the flimsiest comonents I have ever seen. I have now been through 2 of them. You really cannot control anything from the zune because you're afraid that you will break the docking port (or whatever it is called). Best Buy should take this off of its shelves. It could be a great product if it was a little sturdier. You have to hit the power button several times to get it to power on.

What's great about it: Well its the only dock in best buy for Zune... so if you are desperate....
What's not so great: Only dock for Zune in Best Buy, scratchy sound not worth the price.
I didn't buy it but I did try it at the store and I am glad that I did becuase I turned it all the way up and I put my Zune on it to see how easy it was to work and well lets just say.... THANK GOODNESS THEY HAD A SAMPLE OUT.
I went back a few weeks later and they took the sample down... I'd say they noticed that once people tried it they absolutely didn't like the product.
It's not worth 94 bucks much maybe better price if it was like 30 or 35 bucks.

Won't work with my Zune for more than a few weeks. I give up! I'm on my 5th dock!!!! Loose connection ruined first Zune. On my second Zune and may be headed for a third if my next dock doesn't work from the onset. Then I'll know it wrecked another player.

What's great about it: 1 of the few I found to work w/ zune, fm radio, good sound quality
What's not so great: zune sits too loose in it, does not have alarm, remote confussing
Overall I guess I would say I like this. I don't use it all as much as I thought i would. gets the job done just wish it was easier to use and more features.

What's great about it: It has an antenna for the radio. Its small enough for sitting on a desk
What's not so great: Thought the sound would be better. The zune will stop working if barley touched or changing its input.
Altec Lansing is a good product but for $100 i thought it could be better. The sound is alright for the office but at your home it lacks quality. I only recommend this product because there are only about 5 different docking stations to choose from for the zune.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is by far the worst dock i have ever had. It destroyed my zune the first week i had it. Thinking it was my zune, i returned it and got another. Then it fried my new one too. It really is a waste of money.

What's great about it: charges zune, decent sound, okay look.
What's not so great: sits loose on the dock, remote is annoying, backlights stay on while playing.
I bought this for my birthday to go with my 30g Zune. I was pretty happy with the sound and look but the remote was just poor. Can't go though other menus, you have to go and manually change the artist/playlist. Also once the battery died I couldn't find a replacement
(If anyone knows what type of battery it is I would be extreamly greatful!!).
Another thing, if you knock the dock, even a little, the Zune tends to come loose and stop playing and it becomes a pain to put it back.
Also, if you plan to listen to it while sleeping you either need to find something to cover the Zune's screen (the backlight stays on all the time) or be able to deal with having a lot of light coming from it.
It really isn't worth the $100 price tag, but if it's the only thing you can find, and I mean ONLY, it works.

What's great about it: Good sound, FM radio works with out Zune, small foot print, Slick design, external antena, AUX jack.
What's not so great: Zune does not sit well. Controls from remote are limited.
Its a slick look, better sound then I would have thought from this thing. The FM is on board so you don't need the Zune to play it. It has aux jack so you can use it with other systems. It has bass boost and Surround Sound emulation that works very well. However I bought it to go with the Zune 80gb v2 and it does not sit well and the controls only work if I wedge some thing behind the Zune, and even then the remote can not navigate the menus, you can adjust the volume, skip forward and back pause/play and select source and change the radio. Just can not navigate the menus. I will be returning this item and finding some thing else.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have the Altec Lansing 604 for the zune and I love it. This was a big disappointment. sounds tinny and doesnt compare even a little bit to the 604. for 30 bucks this is a good deal. for 100 it's not

What's great about it: Sounds good for what it is, charges the Zune.
What's not so great: Zune sits loose in the dock.
Bought this for my daughter, she likes it and I was very suprised by the big sound it has. It charges the Zune while it's on the dock and has a nifty remote. To me though the Zune sits in the dock kind of loose and the connection is marginal. But for what it is the purpose is served. One may consider the Zune A/V dock hooked up to a real stereo instead?
