What's great about it: Price and Fun What's not so great: Not much memory space
"This is a fun console for people who want to play only a few games. It comes with 256 MB of memory, but I still have about 200 MB left from play Guitar Hero, Halo 3, and Assassins Creed. You can still by the 20 GB memory for about $100 if you want to download your music on there and downlaod movies from the Xbox live marketplace, then you should get that. But the Arcade is really no different from the Pro or elite. You can still play online with everyone, and plus you get some cool arcade games with it. So it is really up to you if you want more or less memory. You would still need to buy all the extras such as Xbox live, headsets, controllers, games. So ya, happy playing."

"The Xbox 360 Arcade is great for someone new to the next generation of gaming. At the price of $279.99, thats a good price. You should only buy this product if you are a casual gamer, not interested in going online or downloading Movies, Tv shows, or Game content off of the Xbox Live Marketplace. With the Hard Drive absent from this model you cannot play any of your Original Xbox games. If you are a hardcore gamer like myself I recommend either the Xbox 360 Premium, or the Xbox 360 Elite that comes with a 120GB Hard Drive, HDMI ( High Definition Multimedia Interface ) and a sleek black finish."

"Ok, people say its a good deal and it can hold quit a few games. But if you play alot of games dont buy this. If your getting your first 360 and you play when you get the time....sure buy this. But if u play alot of games like Halo 3, and Call of Duty 4 go with the pro or the elite. They both have alot of memory."

"i didn't use it for long i had all of the the best accesories for it too don't waist ur money go to bestbuy only ones left stacks of the arcad 360 core console left one reason why they are really bad total waist of money don't listne to anybody els get the elite or pro then ur system won't break down!!!!!!!!!"

"this still comes with xbox live silver membership, and a small memory unit. i got this and i could play it right out of the box. it didnt freeze at all and plays all xbox games just as good as elite and other models. if you are just starting out purchase this and u can custamize it with whatever u want."

"i reacently got this product and i set it up but it didn't have a hard drive. im returing it and getting the 70 dollar more system. i prefer the 70 dolla more syestem because- -comes with 20 gb hard drive -comes with internet cords - comes with all cords that u absouluty need -comes wih headset -xbox live subsciption -wireless controler -2 games -hd cords add all those extras up that dont come with arcade, if u buy then it wll cost more than the xbox core so i would just get the core."

"here's the catch. Replays are writen to the hard drive. Arcade...no hard drive! I don't mind the absence of a hard drive for downloading music and such since I won't be doing that. I am a bit upset that I can't watch replays in "Dirt". That game rocks. I'd love to see myself spinning round the track. Oh well, not that big of a deal. I mean, no hard drive means one less thing to break! Overall, I'm very glad I went with the Arcade. Great price to get into a 360."

"Its not that bad of a console if you are just starting out. And its not like you cant upgrade it. Personally i got it as an early xmas gift and its not bad but like i said in the Cons part. you also have to remember all you need to do is go out and pick up those things. but what doesnt make sence is it comes with Xbox Live Silver but it doesnt come with a headset other wise not bad =]"

"By far the best 360 system yet. Dont get me wrong the Elite is nice with its 120 gb HDD and HDMI output, but the Elite still has the old processor and motherboard which inevitably leads to "The 3 Rings of Death". This system has the intergrated HDMI output with resolution up to 1080p. My advice for someone that has had the rings on their core system is to keep your HDD and throw the whole system away. Ive had 3 xboxs break on me in the last year if you dont want the trouble of dealing with the morons at xboxs every few months buy this system!! At $279 you cant go wrong"

"For all those looking to buy a 360 without the hefty price, and all the add ons, this is definitely the system for you. You can play the system right out of the box.....it has 5 free arcade games including pac man, and also features a 256 MB memory card, which was not present in the previous "Core" version. If you play just games, and don't plan on downloading game demos, or anything off Live marketplace, 256 MB is sufficient enough for you. This system is the newest manufactured X box on the market, so it's alot quieter and cooler than the earlier consoles, also it includes the newer motherboard, which decreases the chance of "the red ring of light" I would recommend this console to anyone lookin to buy an X Box."

"This is all you need, just buy the hdd seperate and hd wires seperate if you need them. Do not let the name fool you it is basically the original 360 core system but with wireless controller. Get this for you kids or yourself if you do not want to get some other bundle package."

"I purchased this system two weeks ago, upgrading from the Wii. This is my best purchase of the year. The original Xbox 360 Core Edition was a horrible deal, you could not even play right out of the box. Microsoft made an excellent decision by creating the Xbox 360 Arcade it comes with everything you need. It includes a wireless controller, a 256mb card, an AV cable, an Xbox Live Silver membership, and of course an Xbox 360. My only disappointment is that it did not include a hardrive. For playing games the memory card is awesome, but many people will want to upgrade to a hardrive to do things such as play original Xbox games and download demos. Overall, this an excellent system and deal."
