What's great about it: You get to get to epic feats.
What's not so great: I didnt really like the soul sucker plot.

"This game is one of the best role playing games on the market. If you ever played the original NWN and the expansion packs well youll love this one."

The Expansion is One Great End Game 02/19/2008

What's great about it: fun, well polished, interesting plotline
What's not so great: monsters became too easy toward the end when/if player becomes very powerful

"While the expansion stars the same player character as the original game, you do not need to play the original to enjoy the expansion. I did enjoy the few references to the original campaign, but they were somewhat trivial and brought little closure to the previous storyline.
The overall designs of the plot and dungeons were great, and it was certainly refreshing to get out of the sword coast for once. The campanion NPCs are relatively interesting, and this time around, choosing between good/evil made a lot more difference in your party roster, special abilities, and even items you acquire. While neither side give you significant advantage over the other, the game does play a bit different and there is more replayability.
Several mechanics got a revamp in the expansion, and i really liked them. Crafting and Enchanting for epic level are improved so that they are much simpler to do. Companion influence now shows up in their character sheets and they now give you relationship feats that improve as they grow more attached to you. Epic feats bring some balance to the characters classes. For example, rogues get a feat that allow them to do 50% of their sneak attack on those normally immuned to it, so now they are not useless again epic opponents (who are usually immune to sneak attack) any more.
Overall, the expansion was a great addition to the game, and made NWN2 better than ever. If you are a fan of D&D, you can't miss the expansion (nor the original)."

"This is the (hopefully first) Expansion to the award winning Neverwinter Nights 2. One of the most varied gameplay experiences out there, Neverwinter Nights 2 is a must for RPG fans frankly, and is a sure bet for anyone who enjoys PC games of any genre and the expansion is sure to only add to that quality; with epic levels, new classes and a fresh campaign, Mask of the Betrayer is shaping up to improve significantly on an already great game."
