What's great about it: fun, long, hard, and good game play What's not so great: once you beat the 4 guilds, Arena, and Main Quest you get bored of it
"This is a great game for all those people who love to customize your player in almost anyway possible. This game could take you anywhere from a month of non-stop play to 3 or more of a couple hours a day. Overall fun interactive game, and P.S. get the one with the shivering isles because i didnt and now i cant keep going."

My Favorite Xbox 360 Game

"This is by far my favorite game I have for the Xbox 360. I bought this game last summer and was addicted from the moment I started playing. This was the first real RPG I've every played, and I really got sucked in. I've created three or four characters, and each of them have led to a unique game experience. The add-ons are amazing as well, as they include new creatures and characters and even some new areas. I love the freedom to do whatever you want to as well. I picked the game back up this summer, and have played it just as much as I did last summer. In my new adventures, I've discovered much more about the game, completing quests and finding places I never knew about before. It's really made me wonder if it's even possible to do every single quest in the game. I will not be taking this game to the trade-in store like I usually do with most of my games. This game is so fun, I even got my girlfriend to play with me. That really says a lot."

A great game for any style of gamer

What's great about it: You could literally play forever What's not so great: Consoles can't get mods
"Oblivion on the 360 would be a wise decision for two reasons. 1) You get to sit at on a comfortable couch as you play 2) You might want the achievement points
The downside is that after you beat the story and the quests there's not much else to do. You won't be able to add user-created mods to expand your game. (Mods are why Oblivion changed from 'T' to 'M')
But Oblivion itself is a great open-ended RPG. It revolutionized the hit and miss system. Unlike past RPG's with Oblivion you must actually strike your enemy with your weapon or you will miss. The storyline I thought was a little weak compared to Morrowind and it didn't really affect me in any way as I was playing through it. I've had the game for two years and I still enjoy playing it though. There are tons of quests to do and even after you've done those you can go treasure hunting in Oblivion's many dungeons."

"This game still keeps my interest and after a year and a half i am still doing new quests. The expansions this comes with would normally cost about $30 more and they add plenty of new actionand items. I am not a huge rpg fan but i still love this game. Even if you don't care about the brilliantly done storyline you can have just as much fun messing around. You can literally be anything you want and there are plenty of side-quests that help with that. This is a must have game for any 360, ps3, or pc owner."

"This game is one of the best ive bought in a long time. If your a big gamer you really want to buy this game. The only problem i have found with it was that the horses steering was a bit weird. Also the horses are priced a little too high. What i like about the game is that it has a great story line and many side quests. The Arena is a brilliant idea. If you keep dieing you can lower the difficulty through the options menue if you press the start button on your controler. In conclusion this game is recomended to any gamer that likes a challenge or if you just want to smash stuff, it will suit your gameing needs for a long time."

It's a huge world after all

"I've played every game in the Elder Scrolls series, and they just keep getting better. They've done a great job with continuing to make a huge game world, but improving your ability to move around within it. There is fast travel if you want it, or you can walk through the wilderness. The number of side quests is simply staggering, and has a good deal of variety. There are single-shot quests, as well as plot lines that almost rival the main plot line for length, for example the Mage's and Fighter's guild quest lines. Some of the side quests are simply hilarious, especially the Daedric Shrine quest for Sheogorath. The GOTY edition includes the two largest expansions: The Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine. Shivering Isles is an extraordinay quest line, again rivaling the main quest line for length and complexity."

"The Elder Scrolls Series are quite simply the Best Electronic first person RPG games ever! As with it's Predecessor (Morrowind), Oblivion is a huge and vast wide open non-linear format, with awesome customization and immensely beautiful environments! While the monster AI a bit repetitive, and a few things that were in Morrowind aren't available here, i.e., you can't fly/levitate, as well as not being quite as deep as Morrowind; it does have a much improved interface. Bottomline: Once you get into this world, you'll never want to leave - Just Buy It!"
