What's great about it: Good Video Quality What's not so great: Overheated in 24 hours
"See now that others have had the same experience. The fan started making some noice the first day. The next day I had lost my video display. Checking the card I found it was very hot. Pulling it after some time, I found the fan casing to be warped from the high heat! The cause was obvious. The fan had seized from the sticker in the center of the fan having slid to lock the fan. I am taking this one back for a replacement - but will take the sticker off the next one! I have rated the card on everything but this (though obviously not uncommon) "sticker" anomaly - which I would tell a friend about if I were to recommend the card."
What's great about it: Easy to install, able to support any game that comes out this year and the next What's not so great: Noisy fan
"Everything seems to be fine, the packaging could have been better. The fan seems to make a weird moped noise but it's not noticeable unless it's dead silent. The Graphics were a great improvement though. everything felt very smooth, and the MMORPG characters were not lagging at all."

What's great about it: Very Easy to Install What's not so great: Possibly Loud
"I installed this card into my new Dell Inspirion 530 and everything went very well. Installed it fast and I was up in running in about 15 minutes. Day 2 I left my desktop on all day and when I came back to it I noticed the card making noise. It sounded about like what you bike sounded like when you were a kid and you stuck a playing card in the spokes. I took it back out and the sticker in the middle of the fan had come loose. Once I took off the sticker I put the card back in closed the cover and everything is good now. I have not tried the card with Blue-Ray yet but that is my next scheduled upgrade. I am not a gamer so I can not comment on how it performs with those graphics."
"What I don't realize is why people want to always play with sli graphics card. This card is so good you won't need to hook it up in SLI and you won't even need the 8800 gt. Give this card a chance and it will surprise you. This is actually, believe it or not, a highend gaming card. You will be able to play assassin's creed, WOW, and even call of duty at high settings. Some even say it'll play crysis at low to mid settings. This is an awesome card and at 135 bucks it's a steal. I would definitley recommend this. Also I know how frustrating it is to have to buy a new powersupply when you want a new card but 95% of the time you won't need to. This thing doesn't take alot of power."
Great card for the Price

What's great about it: Economical performance graphics card What's not so great: None
"If you're looking to update your current graphics card, then this is the one. I just popped it into my PCI-E slot and downloaded the drivers that came on the CD that came with the card and that was it. This card only requires a 300 watt power supply which is pretty amazing with the specs on this card. If you compare this to comparable cards IE the 8800 series of cards you talking 400+ power supplies to run the card.
Card runs very quiet. I didn't have to pull any stickers off yet as noted in other reviews. Runs most of the games I play on high settings."
"Best card yet plays alll my games on the highest settings they can go with no lag like Oblivion on Ultra high the graphics are amazing way better then the 8500GT model that looks like a coward compared to this thing stays a a decent tempature 8500GT does heat up and act a little goofy if your not getting anof air flow throught the tower decent price go get your self one"
What's great about it: Great picture and really easy to install What's not so great: Fan is a little noisy
"I installed this in a AMD Duo core machine running vista with 4GB Ram. Literally poped in the card, connected the monitor and it's done. GREAT picture, and really good for the money. I was thinking of spending more, but glad I didn't. I use for video, tv and dvd. true 1080i. Very happy, and I think you will be too. Fan does have more than a slight hum if you let it run for any amount of time, but it's very tolerable."
What's great about it: easy instalation, runs the newer games great What's not so great: PNY decal on fan
"I picked up this card recintly, instalation was a snap and can handel the newer games on mid to max settings with little to no bumps in performance. Great buy all around. Only problem was I faced the same problem the other reviewer had with the PNY decal on the fan comming loose from the heat. I was in a three hour Halo 2 session when I heard a clicking sound comming from the card. After shutting down and opening the case and feeling the fan I felt the decal working its way up and rubbing against the fan blades. Took off the decal and no other problems. If you get this card you wont be disapointed but be prepaired to remove the fan decal if your going to game for a long sitting."
What's great about it: everything What's not so great: sticker on fan
"the card works perfectly for me, no problems with installation and use. only 1 minor problem occured while in use, installed card, workd fine, but after a couple hours of gameplay, the fan started to heat up, only because the sticker decal that they put ontop of the fan came loose, and really boggd down the fan from being able to cool down the card. All they need to do is get a more heat resistant sticker and the card would be a 100% great buy."

What's great about it: Incredable What's not so great: none
"I bought this card to replace an ATI card (not nec. , just an upgrade from 256mb). From the start there was an unbelievable difference in graphics. I mainly needed the upgrade for CAD renderings but will admit, I've recently started buying and playing games as well. WHAT A DIFFERENCE TO BOTH!!!. Amoung the games, DOOM 3, HALO, BATTLEFIELD 2, CALL OF DUTY 4, and my personal fav.,,,,,,ENEMY TERRITORY QUAKE WARS.Until I installed this card, I didnt even know that it was snowing in some of these (ETQW) maps. The ATI card would lag in close range combat causing me to get slaughtered everytime. Not anymore!!! I should mention that another reviewer is very very wrong about this cards ability to game. I believe even they (he or she) would be very happy with thier purchase if they went online and updated the driver. I picked this card up in November, installed it and the factory oem driver found on the cd.There was a newer driver dated October 4th that I downloaded and then another dated December 5th. Each one just keeps getting better and better. As does my gaming,,,um,,,,cough, cough,,,,,,,,,,,,work."
What's great about it: 512 MB DDR3, Factory overclocked What's not so great: No game software bundled with it, just demos
"I bought this card as an upgrade to my integrated 6150se graphics, I couldnt even play call of duty 2 on 800x600 with mid settings, I put the 8600gt in first game played was cod2 full settings 1280x1024 with no bumps at all, next played Medal of honor airborne full settings 1280x1024 ran great just a little bumps when jumping out of the plane. Would recommend this card for anyone on a budget and still play new games with full to semi-full settings. The 8600gt is a great card to overclock more too i have heard of people getting up to 693 clock and 1826 memory and actually beat the 8600gts in most games."
