What's great about it: Nothing
What's not so great: the recording sound quality
I make walkthrough videos for the internet, and after my 12 dollar micstand broke after having it for 4 years. I decided I should upgrade to a headphone, both by DYNEX.
Problem is... the playback audio recordings are so bad and muffled it borderline makes me sound like a robot.
with close to no settings and having it for months to unable to return, I basically just paid 25 bucks for anger.
I don't care if mine alone is faulty, I will never buy from DYNEX again.

What's great about it: Cheap
What's not so great: Faulty from the start
I just got back from exchanging this headphone as it was faulty before I could use it even once. I tried it on both my laptop and desktop but couldn't get it to work. The sound would click on for a few seconds and then die out. I followed all of the troubleshooting techniques that came with the instructions to no avail. In the end, I exchanged it with a Logitech model (and purchased the warranty) which worked beautifully. I wish I had read the other reviews before purchasing the Dynex headset as it would have saved me the trouble of making a second trip to Best Buy. Therefore, my recommendations are to invest a little more if you don't want to deal with the hassle.

What's great about it: Nothin
What's not so great: Durability
Now I have obtained two of these headsets. The first one broke in two weeks and I thought well maybe my dog got to it. The second one i have lasted just over 1 week and it was terrible. For Counter Strike or Call of Duty, it is very hard to hear anything. And that is the point of the headset. Also, it isn't all that comforting either. The wires always get tangled and it is not work the amount of money to have it break and get terrible usage out of it.

What's great about it: sound
What's not so great: comfort
These headphones sound great - both the mic and the earphone provide great quality.
HOWEVER... they are extremely uncomfortably tight, and put a lot of pressure on the head/temple causing an awful headache if worn more than a few minutes. Even adjusting the "adjustable headband" does not provide relief. I have self-modified them by cutting off the erroneous support piece (non-headphone side) which seems to have helped.

What's great about it: Decenty of comfort, maintaining a little amount of peace, which any headset can do
What's not so great: Durabillity, breaks fast.. Sound quality is amateur
First off, I received my headset in June 15, somewhere in that area..
This is a very, LEGIT review, of my experience with this tool.
DURABILITY -
for this headset is tremendously off, IT breaks extremely fast and easily, Be careful with it, Don't let the cords hang around because the cords will break.. They used terrible covering for the cords to be safe, - The headset broke apart into two pieces within 3 weeks, because it doesn't extend very long, like one review said this headset is truly for a child, and I'm a child at that, and no I'm not fat.. Just sometimes you would like for it to be a 'lil lose, especially If you have hair. The little part where you talk into the mic, becomes extremely frail and starts to degrade and falls down all the time, and won't be stable. Then by the beginning of August, all I had was a headset, because all of a sudden the microphone stopped working, tried everything and nothing work, now by September 10th the headset completely failed, no sound. This product will only last for about 2 months, even If that, It's hard to take care of a product, if the product can't take care of itself.
DURABILITY = FAIL
COMFORT -
I don't ask much for comfort, as long as it doesn't hurt me, and the headset didn't but it the comfort is somewhat depending on the durability just to stay together
COMFORT = DECENT, USABLE
SOUND QUALITY -
The sound was okay, but you couldn't have the volume on high, because others could hear it, but not that loud though, but that's the main point of a headset, is for you to hear it and reserve peace, but that's not the deal with this headset. The sound quality wasn't any type of enhancement, I still struggled to hear some things on it, isn't that another point of the headset, to hear better and more clearer? Not with this headset. I just used it to keep quite, but the quality isn't worth anything.
SOUND QUALITY - NOT ANY BETTER THAN A COMPUTER WITHOUT A HEADSET, ONLY USED TO MAINTAIN PEACE.
OVERALL PRODUCT = FAILURE, IN BIGGEST CONCERNS.

What's great about it: Soft earphones
What's not so great: program capatability
the headphones are really comfortable and noise cancelling...Although when you purchase online the description does "NOT" tell you they are for only Vista, and XP...We have and use windows 7 on all of our computers and the sound cuts in and out because of this not being compatible with our computers. We really would of like to have known before purchasing 2 sets of these headphones for our office use.
Thanks.

What's great about it: recording quality
What's not so great: very uncomfortable to wear
I wanted to purchase either a microphone or a headset for recording training/tutorial materials using Camtasia. I sure did not want to spend a few hundred bucks on a studio mike and a pre-amp. So I decided to give this one a try first.
I was very surprised (in a positive way) about the recording quality of the mike. I've tried recordings in Camtasia Studio and also in a dedicated sound recording program (Adobe Soundbooth). In both cases the sound recording produced noise and hum free result. (Just a comment, that I used Soundbooth on WinXP Pro 32bit, and Camtasia Studio on Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit.) So the mike recordings are just great!
The mike IS adjustable - unlike some others noted. You can move the arm up/down, but you can also bend the mike arm as well. It's made of some bendable, flexible material, so you can precisely adjust the position. You can even talk very softly into the mike (which does NOT have to be directly in front of your mouth) and you will still get excellent results. Letters, such as 'P', 'S', 'B' and such does not produce any annoying artifacts (as it usually does with cheap mikes.)
The only negative feedback I have about this headset is the comfort. I have a relatively average male head (whatever that means), but it is very uncomfortable to wear. Wear it for an hour or so and your head start to hurt. If you have a small head, you should be ok.
Not sure why Dynex decided to give it such an uncomfortable wear. I can buy a small SONY stereo headphone (no mike) for 20 bucks which is very comfy to wear even all day. So I know it's not impossible.
Overall I am very satisfied with the quality and I just take breaks when the headset start to hurt my head.

What's great about it: It worked in Linux
What's not so great: Uncomfortable, mic hum, mono
I bought this headset for use on daily conference calls through Skype on Ubuntu Linux 10.04. While it worked, the mic produced a very audible hum that was unacceptable. Also, the headset was uncomfortable with prolonged use. I ended up returning it and exchanging it for a Plantronics .Audio 626 that was about the same price but way better in all aspects.

What's great about it: Ease of use. Simple plug-in and use.
What's not so great: The cord that connects from the headset to the computer could be longer.
I took a chance on this headset and purchased 10 to use for my company webinars. They were very easy to use, no software to install and a simplet plug and use. They worked so well that I purchased additional headsets for my staff and other volutneers we work with. I have also recommended them to several other departments in our company. We primarily use them for webinars and online meetings.
They are also very duable. I have mailed them back and forth between our volunteers and they still look and work great.

What's great about it: nothing
What's not so great: sound quality (constant hum, clicking), comfort, position of microphone
What a terrible disappointment. I had read all of the reviews and thought that this would be a good headset for some product demonstration work that we do via Camtasia, GoToMeeting, Webex, etc.
First off, the size must be for a child. Its incredibly uncomfortable. This is about 2/3 the size of my Plantronics set that I use for phone calls.
The microphone position is not adjustable and the arm that leads from the headset to the small adjustable boom is angled right at your cheek.
And finally, the sound quality couldn't have been worse. I suppose if you are ok with a constant slight clicking sound and / or a humm, it is probably fine for you.

What's great about it: Sound quality
What's not so great: Difficult to set up since its USB,need to change the computer settings. The hard part in ear is painful after some time
Its difficult to set up first time cuz of the USB and the hard part on one ear is painful if u use it more than an hour. Except for these two drawbacks it has an exceptional sound quality. It has noise cancellation and its really cheap comparing headphones with the same feature. I returned the headphone since I was comfortable with double-ear headphones. But its the best solution for people who don't mind single ear headphones and who are looking for an exceptional sound quality at a cheaper price!!!

What's not so great: I wish it was wireless!
I found nothing wrong with this headset, good sound, fit, & comfort! The only thing I wish is that it was wireless, I tend to get tangled up with the cord! At least I can hear if the phone rings, or whatever needs my attention while on the pc.
