What's great about it: Pretty Much Everything...Great Quality!
What's not so great: it's a little heavy but worth it!
"I currently have 3 long haired cats and 2 dogs a austrialian shepherd and a border collie...lots of hair and lots of dirt they leave behind. I have bought vaccumms in the past and i would use them once or maybe twice and the rollers would get tangled with hair and it would blow out the motor and burn the betls. My house was alwas covered in hair and there was nothing i could except get on my hands and knees and pick up the hair manually.
I haven't had a single issue with this vaccumm, I've had it for almost 3 months and find myself vaccuming more than ever because it does such an amazing job i want my house to always look as nice as this vaccumm makes it.
I picks up everything any critter could leave beind hair, dirt, crumbs...anything. I also have two chinchillas and have used the vaccumm to clean out their cage...it can literally do anything!
Only issue is for me it's a little heavy after vaccuming for a while and also for me the filter fills up really fast and i have to empty it usually atleast once during a vaccuumming session.
Other than that i is a great product. Great quality, great looks, great price...it's totally life changer for me and i love how clean my house is. I would recomend this product to anybody with pets and even anybody w/o pets becaues it is such amazing quality at the price and works wonders.

"I used my old vacuum first. Then used this one to test it. It blew my old one away! Within minutes I had to empty the canister. More than once! I have two yellow labs that are in the house and it removed more hair than I thought was there! To be honest I kinda felt dirty! Lol, Great buy."

What's great about it: The fact that I no longer own it!
What's not so great: That I spent money on that piece of junk
"I have a problem with dog hair, so I bought the "Pet Hair Eraser" to help. I think it should be renamed the "Pet Hair pusher and shover" to be accurate. Even when I used my hand to losen hair from the furniture and carpets, the best this worthless piece of junk would do is wind it up in the beater bar. And the air-operated brush wand was even worse. Not only did it not pick up much hair, but when it did manage to pick up loose hair, it wound around the small beater bar, causing it to jam. I sincerely felt that this was the worst vacuum I've ever purchased and I've crossed Bissell off my list for the future. I tossed mine in the local land fill, putting it where I think it belongs!"

Great first impression

What's great about it: Great suction, great price, long hose, long cord, bright headlight
What's not so great: Noisy
"On sale for $20 off. I used the $20 savings to buy a 4-year "Black Tie" warranty. Even if the motor or beater bar go out I'm covered. I spent $500 on my last vacuum and it lasted over five years. I don't expect this one to last that long but it's nice to know I'm covered for 4 years for way less than $200. With 5 teenagers, a Great Dane and an English Bulldog we are tough on our surroundings. Suction is great and is getting a lot of stuff our old unit missed. Canister lasts about 2 rooms before it has to be emptied. So far very impressive."

Think twice about this vacuum

What's great about it: Picks up pet hair well--at first
What's not so great: Parts keep breaking
"This is a great machine at first. We've had ours about a year and a half now and are on our fourth belt and have had to replace the brush roller bar twice as it wears unevenly on the ends and becomes unbalanced. Now it sounds as if a jet airplane is about to take off in our living room and it appears the motor is about to go. Save your money and get a different brand. You may pay more initially, but it will save you money in the long run."

What's great about it: Before purchase I was skeptical about whether or not this would work. It is freaking AMAZING.
What's not so great: The output container fills up quickly, but the results are worth the extra effort of emptying the "bag" more times.

Best Vac Ever!!!

"My wife and I just bought this vac today and could not wait to see how well it would do on our carpet. We just got a Dog 2 months ago and have a baby on the way so we wanted to get a really good vac to keep our place clean, but not spend $400 for one. This vac does great! We have had the same old vac for about 6 years and it doesn't even compare to this one. Being in a desert climate, there is always dust and dirt everywhere. This vac will pick up everything. We have a 1250 square foot place and we had to empty the canister twice because this vac picked up more stuff than our old vac. I would recommend this vac to anyone who doesn't want to spend $400 on a Dyson and to anyone with any size dog. You will not regret this purchase. Also, get the 4 year service plan. I know a lot of people will think I am crazy, but $19.99 for a 4 year warranty is not too bad. Think of it as a warranty for your car. If somethings wrong with your car,you take it in and get it fixed."

Great vacuum

"My husband and I bought this vacuum 2 years ago it still works great!! I did a lot of research prior to buying (cause thats what I do). When I compared this vacum to others that were much more expensive there was little difference. Well just this week the vacuum suprised me. We use the vacuum 2-3 times a week sometimes more because we have two dogs with short hair that sticks into everything. The vacuum suddenly lost suction, well after several choice words I remembered I hadn't changed the HEPA filter in a while, a long while. With it being summer time the dogs are dragging in tons of mud and shedding even more. The filter was so gross. I bought a new HEPA filter and went over the same area just in-case. It had very little to pickup. Now this isn't say I didn't mark the calendar aways out to remind myself to change it. The Vacuum just kept going until it really couldn't breath. For the price I'll deal with the filter changes and no brush stop button. I love this vacuum!!"

What's great about it: The suction for the first time is amazing.
What's not so great: Fatal flaw...no brush roll turn off, sqeaky, small canister.
"Just bought it, brought it home and was very amazed. It will show you where you need to steam clean! Amazing on dog hair and dirt. I've never seen my floors so clean and I clean a lot! Reviews show shoddy parts and I can believe it. Very squeaky when running, and this sucker is loud. Canister is pretty darn small and I could see how the filter cleaning could be messy. BIGGEST PROBLEM.....NO BAR SHUT OFF!!!! Sit it on carpet at the highest setting for a couple minutes (about the time to do the stairs) and you'll see how big of an issue this is. I now have an area of carpet that has been sucked higher than the rest and it really shows. The knap of the carpet has been untwisted and looks very frizzy. This is a fatal flaw to this vac. Let's hope it lasts past the magical three week period. Not holding my breath. I'm writing Bissell next!"

What's great about it: Really does a good job picking up pet hair, has long hose for the stairs
What's not so great: When using the brush the light keeps showing partial clog green/ black
"Was very pleased with this product. It sucked up a whole bunch of stuff even after I had just cleaned my carpets. The hose is very long so I don't have to keep carrying up the stairs. However, when using the brush with the hose attachment the pet hair gets stuck and the machine keeps showing green/ black meaning partial clog. I don't like that you have to unscrew the brush to de-clog and it gets clogged from pet hair with every use . Over all I am very happy with this vacuum. It picks up everything and then some!"

"I considered buying the Dyson animal vac because I have 3 dogs. Well, I couldn't justify spending $500+ for a vacuum so I read the other reviews on this vac and decided to give it a try. I'm not disappointed. It's got really good suction and I used the turbo brush on my dog hair covered steps and it made it a breeze to clean. It also was easy to assemble. 2 screws to attach the handle and 1 to attach the top cord holder. Attach the hose and insert the attachments into their storage spots and your done. Simple. Anyhoo-that's all. Ta Ta!"

What's not so great: the main roller busted and stained my carpet with big black melted plastic
"Not only did it break after 4 months the main roller end broke and caused hot black plastic to spit out and melt and stain my carpet. Had another main brand in the past and never had a problem. Looks like i will be going back to that brand...for the price of a new carpet and a new vacuum i could have gotten a gold plated vacuum....."

"We bought this vacuum about a month ago. So far it has been great. But there is one thing. The hose. It is wire reinforced so if u bend step or crush it in any the wire slips out of plase and the hose sucks in itself so suction stops and it sounds like has a clog. But i am pleased because i called bissel and told them what happended and the sent me a new hose for free. A 18.00 hose for free. It came in 4 days. Bissel's customer service impressed my and is someone who i can work with. The brushroll is awesome. the growl sound lets you know its picking up the carpet. I is so powerful it pulls you along like a dog. Its kind of self propeled. The accesories are great also. I had a hoover fusion\mach3 and it picked up what the hoover could not. that my my 150 worth it to know i have a truly clean carpet. Take that hoover\tti. it is a little heavy but not hard to push. I love this vaccumm dont think about it buy it you will be pleased."

"Next time i'm spending more then $150 for a vacuum and buying something that lasts. THis vacuum is great for first 6 months to a year. After that it looses a lot of suction power and does not pick up the cat hair as easily as it did before. I have a black angora who is constantly shedding and have to vacuum twice or three times a weeke. This "pet hair" vac just doesn't cut it over a long period of time.
Save your money and invest in something that lasts."

What's great about it: works well on carpet
What's not so great: replaced two rollers in 8 months, smelling burning rubber just prior to replacing parts
"I had this vacuum cleaner for app. 8 months. I had to replace the belt and roller after 4 months and then had to replace the roller after another 4 months. It appears that dirt gets clogged up in the roller housing. Then the roller will stop spinning and then the motor overheats causing the plastic roller and/or belt to melt. Works well on carpet but no so great on bare floors."
