What's great about it: Easy to operate and helped us from getting lost
"This product is so easy to setup and to follow. The internal voice monitor made it so easy to follow directions. We were in San Francisco for the first time and we were directionally challenged, but the Garmin navigated us around so easily. We made a wrong turn and the Garmin navigated us back on track again and again. I highly recommend this product, it's a Lifesaver!"

What's great about it: VERY EASY TO USE, BOLDED.COLORFUL
What's not so great: NOT UPDATED WITH SOME OF THE LOCATIONS,AFTER SPENDING AND HOUR 2 GET 2 THE LOCATION 2 FIND OUT THE PLACE HAS BEEN CLOSED

What's great about it: Easy to Use and Great Features
What's not so great: Phone Syncing is a bit iffy
"The street navigation is accurate for the most part and it is easy to enter in destinations. I am a fan of being able to plan a route with multiple via points and letting the Nuvi find the shortest route. The screen is easy to read and the voice is crisp, clear and understandable. I have been trying to figure out the Bluetooth features lately, with some limited success. It took about 30 times of trying to sync my phone to the unit before it finally succeeded. The instructions are easy, but do not delve to far into troubleshooting potential problems. This is a good GPS unit and all of the extra features make it even better."

What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Bluetooth and Speaker disappointing
"It is very easy to use. I bought this unit for a trip to New York city. It worked well, however the recalculation in the city was not quite fast enough, too many streets. As far a a navigation device, I find that even though I have it set to the fastest routes it doesn't route me in the fastest way. I tested this on routes that I have traveled many times and it takes me on rural routes that actually take longer.
I love the fact that this unit has Bluetooth, MP3, AudioBook, Picture viewers with the extra memory slot. It has replaced my mp3 player.
The biggest disappoinment is the speaker on the device. It is very poor. I have also had complaints from everyone while using the bluetooth option with my cell phone, both on speakerphone and using a wired headset the sound quality is poor. Other than the speaker and the bluetooth all of the other features are great."

What's great about it: Easy to set up, very intuitive to use and seldom fails to find a sateltite.
What's not so great: The traffic detour system is inconsistent in reporting up to date areas to avoid.
"I evaluated units from Garmin's completitors as part of my decision making process. I looked at comperable systems from Magellan and TomTom and while both had some nice features, in neither case was the overall package as accurate and usable at the Nuvi."

"This unit is one of Garmin's great additions to thier product line. I enjoy everything about this unit. The hand free option is excellent. THe traffic alert system spoiled me. Never thought I would need it now I can't frive to and from work without. I can't say enough about this GPS other than I was always hooked on Garmin and now I know I will never change."

"We have a built in Navi on our Honda and on our Lexus.
Both were $2,000 option. Neither are as good as the Garmin! We travel alot and wanted a gps to take with us for rental car use. The Garmin Nuvi 760 works better, routes better and has traffic updates. I don't use the one in my cars now. Will never buy a car again with the navi already included.
You can use this navi without reading instructions first (already used to using navi in my cars though).
I LOVE the traffic updates. If there's an accident or a problem, it lets you know it and you can route around it if you so choose.
I read through many websites before purchasing this model and I'm extremely happy with it.
Would highly recommend it."

What's great about it: easy, big screen, compact
"Love Garmins GPS systems. very easy to use, nice big screens, and the Nuvi is more compact (just as big a screen but not as thick as old ones) making it easy to carry in purse or briefcase or pocket. when entering addresses you only need to type in the first few letters and it guesses a few streets or cities and you just touch screen to enter. also saves your recent addresses and favorites. can buy a cheap yearly subscription to go with it that will alert to traffic jams and you can re-route. All is touch screen and it talks to you so you don't need to look at screen, but screen will show you where to go also if you are in heavy Los Angeles traffic and may want to move over for a turn before the voice prompt.
With any GPS make sure you never leave in the car as someone will break in to steal it and register and put your lock code on so if stolen at least they can't us it.

What's great about it: Easy Use, Blue Tooth, Pretty Accurate with Directions
What's not so great: Freezes up occasionally, confusions with interstates
"Recieved this GPS as a going away present from my father. I recieved a job in los angeles, CA and knew from the start I would need GPS to get around this megatropolis. It got me around with great ease. It's very accurate with a few flaws because of the shear size of the city and the confusing over/under passes on the freeways. The best feature is the blue tooth which worked great with my blackberry. It's a great feature but if you set up your phone to detect it automatically it can often pick up your conversation when you are near your car and the person on the other line will be like speaking to you in your car from 10 ft away haha. Anyways...im sad to say because of the price of the device its an easy target for theft no matter where you live. I was very aware of this and got a nice case for it and would put it away when i'm parked for a long time with the car locked. Except my car wasnt locked at the time of theft and someone jacked it out of my car and they were obviously looking for the device cause they knew to also take the car charger and mounter. The theives of the devices look for it leaving my checkbook and even cash i had in the car. I'm so ANGRY about this but i defintely recommend buying one and I will do so when i can afford one again."

"This is the 3rd GPS I have had. I had to get rid of the Tom Tom about 2 years ago (maybe they are better now). The other was also a Garmin nüvi and it was just as good as this one. You have to pay a small fee to MSN to use all the traffic services and every place does not have service but it is great where there is. Sometimes one way streets are not correct (maybe because they changed after the map software was created, so you have to watch for that in big cities especially."

"The garmin 760 has a lot of features like the bluetooth to see and pick up calls and talk through the GPS, FM transmitter to sync it up with a person's radio to hear the directions or conversation through the speakers of a person's car, and MP3/Picture viewer. Now granted a person might not need all that, but it depends on the person that's why it's pretty expensive because of the features. It's very user friendly and basic, all garmins are. Sometimes there are better routes to take than the Garmin directs, but these GPS devices will not replace local knowledge. Overall it's good"

"I really like this unit it is right on with its directions and the text to speech is very nice the only reason I dident give it 5 stars is that the bluetooth will not work with my palm centro. Once Garmin upgrades the bluetooth for palm centro it will get 5 stars."

"I love this. I really liked the bluetooth. I hooked my cell phone with it and talked thru the radio. Handsfree and not have to worry on speaker phone on cell or headset. I used the gps on a trip, map is not updated on the 73 74 corrider that is in existance. I tell everyone that this is the best of the best. Read the manual. Love to car locator. ready to try the music with a sd card."

What's great about it: everything about it is great!
What's not so great: Price is only drawback, but still worth it.
"This unit is great. I didn't get the 'your-car-locator' feature to work right away, but I didn't read the book either. Finding your way around the menu (GUI) took just a few minutes to become accustomed to. The MP3 player worked good too. At highway speed, the built in speaker is hard to hear. The FM transmitter made some static noises that were a little annoying, so I use headphones while traveling (easier to hear MP3 books & voice directions over kids anyway). Registering and updating the maps online took a few tries, I think they tried very hard to avoid users pirating the maps. Changing you car-icon in the 'Garage' is neat and the kids liked it, but it's limited to 16 or so that Garmin creates (no user uploadable icons yet).
I like it and don't plan on returning it!
Buying the 5 year warrantee makes this an outstanding package."
