What's great about it: great story and platforming elements. Beautiful graphics What's not so great: short, combat could be better. Forces widescreen.
"The story in this game is excellent. Not only is it a well written story, the cut scenes are very well done. The game is gorgeous to look at. Especially if you are using an HD screen. The game play has some excellent platforming parts mixed with some OK shooter sections. The shooting part I believe could have used some more work but, It's still fun. The game even has its own achievements type of system which lets you unlock some bonus content. This adds a lot of replay too the game which is very good. The game is kind of on the short side. If you were a fan of Naughty Dog's previous games don't worry about the more adult theme. This game still has some similarities to their previous games and a lot of their same humor. This is one of my favorite next-gen adventure games and one of the best games for the PS3."

Uncharted maybe different from most games but it certainly deserves more than enough credit to stand up to more known titles. What's great about it: Characters, visuals, story, lots of fun to play! What's not so great: Derivitive gameplay, quicktime events
"Overall this is a really well put together, beautiful game that does everything right but doesn't take any chances or innovate at all.
Every game mechanic is stolen from some other game, and Drake himself is a ringer for the captain from Whedon's Firelfly.
The completely random quick time events are annoying and don't add anything to the gameplay.
Overall I heartily enjoyed the title, though I hope Naughty Dog (the developer) takes a few more risks for the inevitable sequel."

"This was the first game I bought for my PS3 and I must say I am not disappointed. This game is Indiana Jones meets Tomb Raider. Graphics are the best I have seen on any game. Gameplay is fast paced and exciting. My only complaint is how unpolished the driving controls are. Other then that, this game is perfect. If you like 3rd person shooters and action games, you must buy this one."

What's great about it: Graphics, Controls, Sixaxis use, and Story development What's not so great: I beat it 3 days after I got it. Haven't played it since. Bad camera angles get extremely annoying.
"The Good: Uncharted is a fantastic game. The graphics are unbelieveable. The controls are very easy to adapt to and there is nothing tricky about them. I was already comfortable playing this game, even after just playing the demo through a few times. Its also realy cool being able to use the sixaxis. You use it when walking on trees/bridges and you use to aim the arch of the grenades. The sixaxis is kinda hard to figure out with the bridges, but it really brings you deeper into the game with the grenades. Throughout the game, you learn more and more about the characters. It really feels like you are playing out a movie (Indiana Jones?). As you beat each level, a movie clip plays leading you into the next level, giving the game that movie feel and then there is that factor of what is gonna happen next. This game is really exciting.
The Bad: Like I said in my cons, I beat the game 3 days after I got it and I haven't played it since. But I really don't care. I know im gonna play it again someday and even if I don't, this game is just that good. Another bad thing is the camera angles. A lot of games do have bad camera angles, so this really isn't anything unexpected.
Overall: Great game. Get it, ask for it, do anything to get our hands on this game. its worth it."

"I got this game new right when it was coming out and i have to say i was worried when i was getting it. But i started playing i was hooked. this game was very addicting, challenging and crazy fun. This game has the best storyline i have ever seen in a game. At times in this game you will beat a level and you think to yourself that was intense. then the next level is even better. It was i little tough to maneuver yourself at times but when you accomplished something you had a good feeling afterwards. I reccomend this game to everyone that has a sense of adventure."

"This game really blew me away. When I got this game I had my expectations set pretty high since it was made by Naughty Dog but they impressed me once again. Lets start with the visuals of the game. The environment itself is a sight to be seen. Everything looks so real and it makes every place you go to seem so much better. The sounds also are fantastic whether it be a waterfall or a car exploding, they all sound authentic. The fighting system for this game works very nicely. It gives a sense of reality since you are limited to only carrying a set number of guns and some guns take up both hands while others only use one. It makes choosing what gun to use part of the game play and requires players to think. The puzzles in this game also provide a great deal of both fun and challenge. In a way it sets itself apart from other shooting games because it requires you to think when solving puzzles as well as think when in fights by finding cover. The voice acting was nicely done and it was very nice how they put in comedy throughout the game, it made it that much more enjoyable. Overall, this game is fantastic and if you have PS3 you should really think about getting this game."

"Breath of fresh air game from all the shooter games out there. The story is good and and gameplay is fast so I guarantee you won't get bored. Eventhough the battles you have with enemies is repetitive in style (duck for cover and shoot) it doesn't get boring. Its like an Indiana Jones thrill ride. Pick it up and have fun."

"reviewing this game is funny, because i wanted to give it a 5. it is THAT good. however, there are parts of it (basically the final 1/4th of the game) that completely fall off. but, like i said, the game is THAT good, so it overcomes that. the great thing about Uncharted is the graphics, cut scenes, and movie-like quality. without exaggeration, there were times where i literally thought the characters looked like real people in the cut scenes. the gameplay graphics are great as well, no problem there. probably the most fun in the game is when you scale walls/cliffs/anything else that can be climbed; it's like Prince of Persia in that aspect, except it's a lot smoother, easier, and quicker. you just jump and he makes it. but it looks real in the process, not fake or forced. the story (the first 3/4ths) is amazing as well. i won't get into it, but it's good. characters are all amazing too, voices and all. and just for good measure, they throw in some shooting too, mostly at pirates and crooks, to keep it fun. it doesn't get overdone, though, just enough to keep you on your toes and practice your aim. and hiding behind walls/boxes/anything is also great, too. now, to the bad part, and the reason why it didn't get a 5. through most of the game, you'll LOVE everything about it--graphics, music, story, characters, gameplay, controls, everything. it just comes together perfectly and smoothly. then, towards the end, it's like they throw the story and the fun out the window. sure, the story still ends up making sense, but it's cheesy. it turns into a Max Payne meets Resident Evil type of game, and the story never gets back on track (as far as it being enjoyable). like i said, this is near the end of the game, so you'll LOVE the first 75% of it, but when it gets to all the shooting, shooting, and more shooting, it just feels like a shooter without a story and not an action movie. so when the game is finished, you'll feel unsatisfied with the end, even though it's a happy ending. all in all, you'll love this game, because even with the bad parts, it's still so good that it ovecomes them. just be prepared for a bit of a letdown towards the end (unless you like that type of mess--i don't), and you'll be fine. but still, this game is worth playing. i'd rent it, though, because it doesn't seem to have much replay value, as good as it is."

"It took some time, but the PS3 is beginning to produce some real contenders in their exclusive game lineup. Uncharted is one of the latest and possibly best examples of this trend.
The best way to describe the gameplay is 'Gears of War' (without its repetitiveness) meets 'Tomb Raider' (without its unforgiving platforming). It's fast and frantic, full of puzzles, gunfights, and a number of cinematic action sequences.
The story and the voicework are worth playing the game for alone. There's a lot to like about Nathan and his cohorts, and the acting behind these characters is as deep as anything you'd see in a Hollywood production.
This is one of the 5 Games you must own if you have a PS3 (Warhawk and Rachet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction being a few of the others)!"
