This desktop has got to be the most intelligent purchase I have every made... and yes... I have owned a Mac. First off the size and styling of this computer are both efficient and sleek. I blends in with it's surroundings in a sexy way, rather than standing out in a "look at me, look at me" way... you know who I'm talking about. The system is whisper quiet and operates with lightening speed! I do a little bit of everything with this unit from media editing to everyday business use and it handles it all effortlessly. There will be a lot of Mac faithful who will knock this product because.. well... they wish it was theirs. Macs are great and serve the purpose, but for the other %99.9 of us who want power reliability and design. Look no further! You have found the "ONE"... had to do it!
What's great about it: Amazing display and speed, sexy design and great functionality!
What's not so great: Envious Mac people trying to talk it down!
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this computer last month and within a week both the disc drive and the memory card reader were inoperable. I returned it to Best Buy and they tested another one before I left the store, and it had the same problem. I ended up with an iMac All-in-One and couldn't be happier. Gateway needs to go back to the drawing board on this. But I won't ever consider anything Gateway makes because of this experience.
What's great about it: None
What's not so great: Overall piece of junk
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My wife bought one of these on a whim and I have to tell you it was a huge mistake. The quality is deplorable and the design is substandard. this thing just feels cheap. Seriously we should have just bought an iMac. They are a hundred times better for the same price.

This is my 7th home computer. My last two were laptops and I swore I would never buy another desktop because of the huge footprint. This new Gateway bridges laptop and desktop perfectly. If you have thought about a Mac because of the styling and small footprint, but you do not want to pay the high price or you just do not want a Mac, this is the computer for you.
Amazing styling, no tower, total ease of use and so much more. 3GB of RAM is more than enough to run Vista and as many open applications as you want.
This is my second Gateway computer and while I am still using my Gateway notebook, this new Gateway One is the computer of my dreams. It has everything any home user could possibly want, except for a port to attach a second monitor to the PC. I have become used to using two monitors but I will just have to acclimate to one.
This computer offers exceptional performance at a reasonable price, I highly recommend this Gateway One!
