Best Little Investment 11/16/2008

What's great about it: Everything
What's not so great: No complaints

"I have had this mp3 for about 9 months. I love it. I can download many books on to it. I can listen to FM radio while walking. It holds music. It's easy to use. I am able to download music and books within minutes. I totally recommend this mp3. My older son has the ipod. The Ipod is not compatible with our local county library. Because I love to read, this was the best option for me."

What's great about it: its small and lightweight
What's not so great: not very durable, short battery life

"I dont know if i got a fluke in the sansa clip world or what, but my sansa clip (pink) was a pain to use after about two months of having it. Ordering it online and recieving it in the mail a few weeks later, i downloaded songs onto the mp3 and it worked fine...for a while. the back "clip" part of it snapped off without any force it was more like the thing fell off. after this happened, the screen started going blank. it would go blank for short intervals of time at first, but then, the periods of a blank screen would get longer. it became very easy to delete songs and very hard to find specific songs to listen to when you couldnt see what you were doing because the screen was black. now three months in to having this mp3 player, i can still hear the music and downlaod songs onto it, but i cannot see a thing im doing, which makes it very frusterating to use."

"I love this mp3 player, especially when I use it with the optional elastic armband. It is easy to navigate the dial on the front, even when jogging and not looking at it. A pretty basic mp3 player, but that is all I need when I jog. Great product."

What's great about it: cheap, easy to use, can record songs off of radio, PINK
What's not so great: only lasted a year, cant hold very many songs, cant download games

"i got this mp3 player last year for christmas and i loved it!! it was easy to use, durable, and my favorite color, pink. Also while i was listening to the radio on it if a song i liked came on i could hit record now and it would record that song off of the radio!!!!! unfortunatally this mp3 player only lasted a little less than a year before it started messing up all the songs (you couldn't hear the lead singer in the songs and the music was messed up) and after about three days of it being just messed up it just deleted all of my songs!! this time i think im switching over to an ipod!"

"We bought two of these last Christmas for the kids and they've survived a year of abuse! My daughter has spilled shampoo on hers, dropped it numerous times and it still works great. Granted, she prays a lot whenever she messes up...but this little mp3 player has definitely been a great value for us! The headphones were not great though and were replaced by January."

What's not so great: Did not hold charge, returned 2nd one just stopped

"I loved this product, it was small and very easy to use and download on. The first one would only hold a charge for a short time. instruction said it would hold charge for 15 hours, I returned it for another one
exactly like it.
Used it for about 3 months and it erased all information
and then nothing would display except FM radio and that would not work.
Returned it again (SO happy I had purchased the warrenty)
Sorry this didn't work it was perfect for me."

"This is one of the best purchases I've ever made! It is very easy to use and holds a lot of songs for what I wanted to use it for. I love the way it organizes everything and is easy to find the song I'm thinking about. I have had mine for over 4 months now and have not had a single problem with it. I would definately recommend this product to someone that is looking for a good MP3 player that doesn't need to have pictures or any other fancy stuff that the other more expensive brands have on them."

What's great about it: great sound, easy to use even for low tech types, can download lots of audio books
What's not so great: hard to "rewind" to exact place you want -- important when listening to audio tapes of books

"I've given a SANSA clip to at least six family members as presents -- and even those who are older and "afraid" of new technology are pleased with it, if only because they can listen to the radio! I love it for audiobooks, but the music sound is great as well. You may need to upgrade the earphones, but can't beat this mp2 for convenience, ease of use, size, cuteness and low price."

What's great about it: Small hold tons of songs
What's not so great: Battery life, cannot replace battery

"NOT WATER PROOF! I accidently washed my daughters mp3 player! OOPS! It is a great deal for the money, however the battery doesn't stay charged very long, and it takes forever to recharge it. Also, doesn't have a replaceable battery, so when it's dead....it's dead....otherwise, it's been great for my 10 year old daughter!"

What's great about it: Small,Compact,Easy to use
What's not so great: Be careful with the clip.

"I bought this mp3 player for my fiance' for Christmas. She loves it. It is small enough not to be noticed while she's jogging or walking and the sound is impressive. Just be careful using the clip,as her clip slipped off and broke while she was jogging and it was one of the main reasons I purchased this product. Luckily she had the player itself on the inside of her pocket and the clip on the outside,smart thinking. Best Buy was awesome in the fact that they exchanged it for a brand new one with no problems or issues since. I also purchased the extended warranty just in case. It's worth it."

"I bought this for my daughter and it is GREAT! My daughter is 7 and she absolutely loves it. She loves the color and the fact that it has a clip so she can clip it on. My daughter spends a lot of time with her mp3 player on! With my daughter being 7, I did buy her a case to put it in as it is so small, but other than that, it is great."

Love this thing 04/11/2008

What's great about it: Small and light weight, easily see what you are listening to, bookmarks, easy to use, easy to set up
What's not so great: playlists, ear buds

"I really am glad I chose this item. I rec'd a $50 gift card and didn't know what to get. I listen to books at work (I work on a compter all day long) and needed something easy to do so. I have a jump drive but you need to use headphones attached to the computer and have to constantly stop the machine if you need to leave your desk. With this I just get up and go. I don't like earbuds so I do use different headphone (the cheapy $10 ones work great). I love how, if it is the end of the day, I can shut off the player and the next day my book picks up where it left off. Charging from the computer takes time, that's a neg. If you put a lot of music on this it is automatically sorted by artist name and genre - sometimes that's a bummer. BUT for audiobooks - it is wonderful! I use Audible.com to buy books and I can download them straight to the player. Drop and drag is a very nice feature and you can add folders. I am impressed by the price, size and capibilities of this little player and have recommended it to my friends. I am only sorry others seem to have problems."

"This mp3 player is great, its very small and cute. The clip makes it comfortable to clip on your jacket. It has cool features such as recording from live fm radio, and voice recording ( it's pretty good, used it at class lectures). The music volume is good enough for someone who takes a bus or train. Easy to use software (Rapsody) -just drag and drop. One con is you don't have an option to make playlists, you have to cram all your music in one playlist, but you can sort them by song names, artists, or albums on your mp3 itself. I have gone through 2 Ipods, which started to have problems every 2 years or so. I decided to buy a cheaper mp3 player this time around, and it does it's job. If your looking for something simple intended just for traveling, get this."

What's not so great: Battery lasts about 3 hours

"This device was easy to use and the size was nice. However, the battery life only lasts about 3 hours. It had a full charge and then I went on a trip and it only lasted for the first 3 hours of the plane ride and then died. This is definitely not a good purchase, the price was cheap and rightfully so."

Forever to charge battery 03/27/2008

"I thought I would love this thing when I first bought it. I bought it because its so small and portable it would be perfect for what I'm using it for which is to listen to music when I sleep. My husband snores :) so I bought this so I can hear something relaxing while I'm going to sleep so I'm not disturbed. It's great except that after a night of listening to it, it takes all the next day for it to get a full charge again. And it has to be hooked up to my computer; and if my computer goes into hibernate mode, the charge stops. So I have to watch for that. Also, I'd like to be able to create my own playlists on here so I can listen to music without having to listen to my sleeping music at the same time. The earphones were too big and hurt my ears so I bought some different ones. All in all, its ok for what I bought it for, but I wouldn't use it if I were going to use it a lot, like while I was exercising. I'm just glad I didn't pay more for it. I still may return it and get something else."

"I got this as a gift from my cousin for Christmas, and I loved it for about the first week. Within a month of my ownership, I tried to charged it up overnight and the next morning I came back to it, it was frozen. Another time, I tried to put music on it and I had to reformat the whole thing!!! I lost all my music, podcasts, audiobooks, and everything else!! It took me another 2 hours to get not even everything back. If i had a chance to do this over, I would'nt make this mistake again."

"This device did not work out of the box. I hooked it up to my computer to charge and download music. It turned on but never played music. Also, it often would not turn off."
