iPod shuffle? No Way!

What's great about it: its small, has a screen, clip, great for on the go
What's not so great: feels cheap.
"I had this mp3 player since black Friday 07 and it works good its an iPod shuffle killer why have an iPod shuffle when you can buy this for exactly the same price and I had an iPod shuffle previously too the only difference is that the iPod feels more durable."

What's great about it: The menu. the screen love it and the capablity to add songs and books.
What's not so great: I gave low features because I wish I had AM also. my walmart songs wouldn't transfer.
"Over all I love my little MP3. I have songs I love and I soon will try to add a book to listen too. Although I wasn't able to get my walmert songs to transfer I have enough for now. Looking into the walmart problem. The play list are created on my computer and then appear on the play list. Yippe this wa mostly easy. I did have to play with it a bit. directions hummm Iam sure they are around here somewhere. I like ot figure it out first."

What's great about it: Small, easy use, more control over the songs played but....
What's not so great: defective
"This is my second sansa clip, the first was defective and now when I finally have the new one all set up the way I want it...... frozen and not user friendly as far as I am concerned. I really want a mp3 and still want one just don't know what to get now."

What's great about it: An 8 year old figured it out with little help
What's not so great: It doesn't cook and clean
"I bought this MP3 player for my son for his 8th Birthday. I merely showed him how to find songs, pause and play in order or choose shuffle. Two days later he learned on his own to rate the songs, find by genre and other stuff I didn't even bother to look for before giving to him. Last week he took on our 5 day vacation and it was still going strong w/o being charged on the plane ride home. Very satisfied!"

What's great about it: Compact size, good sound, holds a charge.
What's not so great: No down side!
"This is a terrific little MP3 player. Mine is nearly 2 years old and still works like a dream. I did give it a long charge when I first got it, and have never had a problem since with it holding a charge. The sound is great, and I appreciate having the radio option, as I listen on the bus to and from work everyday and can tune in to catch the weather when I choose. I am very happy with this MP3 player and would highly recommend it."

A Great Investment

What's great about it: Portable, easy set up, convient

"I was skeptical at first about purchasing this device but I decide to anyway. I love it. I am so happy that I decided to get this mp3 player because its reallyl worth every penny. It comes with software but I have never even used it. All I did was plug it in and I immediately started to download from windows media player. Thjs leads me to believe that people are having problem with device due to operators error. It's easy to download music onto it and also easy to erase music. I would highly recommend charging this item for atleast 5 hours before deciding to use it. It will help keep the battery life longer. I am in love with this item. It's doesn't fall off while working out and the sound quality is great. The volume is also excellent. Anyone who has problems with this item may want to ensure that is not just that one. No product comes without atleast one flawed. Recommended to all who want to save money."

What's great about it: Sound quality
What's not so great: problems after a short time, no response from service techs
"I bought this for my son for Christmas. He liked it because it was small and it had a screen with menu on it. He said it was his best one he had ever had since the sound quality was so good. Fast forward four months later, and it is worthless. The screen started acting crazy by flipping upside down at a moment's notice. It keeps turning itself off. It won't hold a charge. Sansa wants you to download a software updater that fails every time I try to do it. Sansa help forums reveal this is not isolated, yet no one has a solution. Will be returning for warranty coverage."

What's great about it: Good value for the money!
What's not so great: The USB cable for computer connection should be longer.
"Compact size makes it easy to carry in the palm of my hand, when I'm walking rather than using the belt clip. Nice features. Radio signal strength is good most times, as well as the quallity of sound from song to song. I do think the headphone jack should have been at the bottom below the volume control or at the bottom left below the power switch. I don't use the standard earbuds, but utilize Phillips headphones, which produce a good sound."

"I just bought this product yesterday, and I am more than satisfied. The battery life is still at 100%, which is remarkable compared to an ipod. The sound quality is amazing, for such a small player. I got this little mp3, because I wanted to give my boyfriend my old ipod video classic. This blows the ipod away. I love how the wheel lights up blue, on the edges. If you rotate the one I am reviewing, the back says 2 gb Sandisk. Mine does not. Mine has the little flower design, so mine may be the new up to date one. I adore music, and this little guy has the greatest storage space. I mean, who is going to listen to more than 500 songs, anyways? This little guy fits in the palm of my hand, so I can close my fist and keep it warm, so it does not break...Unlike the ipod, which runs out of battery faster when it gets too cold. Comparing this to the ipod shuffle; At first, I was originally planning for the shuffle, but I saw this. I saw the screen and said, this is the one. This blows my friend's shuffle away. If you're looking for a tiny (and I mean tiny) mp3 player, that has all the necessary features; Look no more. This little guy is perfect for you."

"I got this for christmas it worked GREAT untill i tried to download songs onto it and it didnt work and i cant seem to figure ot stuff it frezzes on me and it gets enoying!!!
And i want th esansa Fuze because i want to watch videos and it seems ALOT better
Yes i would recomend it, just beacause it worked for the time and also if you know how to download songs on it
Yes i looked at the directions and it did NOT help
SO my mom likes it and wants it.. so shes gana get it and im gana get the sansa Fuze yay"

"I initial purchased it for music for home, & auto use. then discovered I could use it for my work and learning aid. translate my voice audio track to the unit quickly and change them as needed. found a lot of old sound tracks hard to find and listen to while away from home, and travel. I listen too, and remember the 70's 80's songs. I use it for my language audio on tape and cd's. when leaning new reference information. great product, easy to use and lightweight portable just clip on shirt and keep ear buds in pocket."

"I just bought the red 2GB Sansa for $39.99 and within 1 hour I had my mix and match of songs from my CDs onto this mp3 with ease via Windows Media Player. There wasn't a need to use the disc this product came with since I don't purchase mp3 songs. Overall I am very impressed, 500 songs is perfect for most people, 500 capacity isn't too many and isn't too little. I'll probably never fill it with 500 songs so I am very happy.
GREAT for the GYM! Can attach to your sleeve. It's very light, very small.
Recharges easy! Just plug in the USB to your Computer and it charges. It's that easy.
Comes with earphones - the earphones sound perfect, and go as loud as I would like. I won't be buying new earphones until these ones break.
Overall I am very happy about this product."

What's not so great: Software keeps freezing, having to download more software, still not working, haven't been able to use for playing music
"I bought this product due to seeing a review that it is a great product for the money. I had originally planned on purchasing an iPod as the gift but changed my mind. Big mistake. I have spent nearly 3 hours trying to get the MP3 to function. I had to go to the Sansa support page to troubleshoot. There I found all kind of troubleshooting questions about the software freezing up on this/that screen..the computer not recognizing the device...freezing up when you try to download music...basically every troubleshoot problem listed I have encountered. I have yet been able to download music for my 8 year old. What a Christmas gift!! A device should not take up so much of your time to get it functionable."

What's great about it: Terrific sound; incredibly light and compact; the perfect MP3 Player to take to the gym.
What's not so great: Battery doesn't last long and will drain completely after a week of non-use; 2GB is OK, but 4GB would be even better.
"The Samsung 2GB Clip is the perfect choice for an MP3 Player that won't break the bank but that will still provide excellent sound with a decent amount of storage space. As already mentioned, 4GB would be preferable, but if you are aiming to stay around the fifty dollar mark, 2GB will do the job as long as you realize that the higher the quality of the MP3 file, the more space the songs will take up. And with this unit's excellent sound capability, you can hear a difference between 128kbps and 192kbps. What this means is that you won't be able to fit all your favorite albuns at one time on the player -- you'll just have to transfer them back and forth from your computer, which is pretty simple to do. Another option is to have some of your music at 128kbps (songs with less dynamic range won't benefit as noticeably with a larger file size) and some at 192kbps. Using this method I have more than a dozen albums plus a number of podcasts on my Clip."

"I'm a runner and I bought this item for the size. I have had mine for close to a year and I have logged a lot of miles with it. This MP3 beats the Shuffle by miles.
I actually find myself listening to the radio a fair amount on long runs even though there is plenty of storage. It works great. I would highly recommend the Clip for anyone looking for a small MP3 that does it all!!!

"I own both an ipod shuffle as well as the Sansa Clip and when I walk out the door it is always the Clip in my hand. It is great and convieniant (I think I spelled that wrong) to load it with Windows Media Player and what makes it so much better than the shuffle is it has a screen."

"I loooove this mp3 player! I dont drive so I have to carry everything around with me all the time and this is the only thing I have that's virtually hands free!! I'm excited that its so small , its very cute and it fits in my pocket, its not heavy sometimes I even forget that I have it clipped to my shirt. I bought and ipod and it was so hard to put songs on it i had to down load stuff to my computer and I dont hvae that kind of time with this I just plugged in th usb cord opened the file in my computer point click and drag DONE!!! I love it!!"
