"Like many other reviewers, I found the Samsung product line to provide the best performance for the price in this size of LCD TV. The 120 Hz screen refresh makes watching sports, action movies, etc. easy on the eyes with little blurring. Unless you have super sharp eye sight and are very sensitive to color balances, this is the LCD TV for you."

"After much research, I purchased this TV based on the 'bang-for-the-buck' rating system. I was able to buy a TV in the size that I wanted with the features that I wanted for the price that I wanted.
I was looking for a large screen TV that would give me everything that I was looking for now but with the flexibility to upgrade as my budget allowed. Currently I do not have HDTV, but the picture is incredible as is, and DVDs really pop.
I was actually looking for a larger TV until the salesperson showed me this TV with the auto-motion feature. Watching a sports program on this TV with auto-motion next to one without it sealed the deal. I had to downsize my screen by a few inches to get the TV that had this feature and still remain within my budget, but it was definitely worth it. There is virtually no 'jumpiness' when watching programs with a lot of motion, especially sports programs.
The 'film mode' feature is also pretty nice if you are interested in watching movies with that bit of 'fuzziness' you find on theater screens, as the refresh rate (especially with auto-motion on) really makes images appear more 'crisp' than you actually see in the theater.
When I bought the TV, I did not initially have any peripheral speakers (home theater) to back it up, and I was very impressed with how the sound filled the room. I have since purchased a receiver/speakers and do not rely on the TVs speakers at all, which makes me curious as to why the TV speakers 'pop' every now and then (about once every couple of days).
It has plenty of connections on the back to hook up future components and the on-screen menus are broken up nicely and are easy to follow.
For my first ever flat-screen purchase, I could not be any happier."

"We were comtimplating buying a LCD tv for some time. We were originally looking at the next model up, the LN-T4071, and were about to buy it becuause the sale price was lower. But after looking at it again, the entire screen has a glossy finish and would have a lot of glare and reflection from lights in our house. We decided to get the 4069 since the only real difference is the matte finish screen and the contrast ratio is 20,000:1 (as opposed to the 25,000:1 in the 4071). Most of the 40" LCD's we also looked at had contrast ratio's around 7,000-9,000:1. The higher ratio really brings whatever you are watching to life. We couldn't be happier!! Watching movies is amazing, you feel like the are there! We have friends who are in the film production industry and they actually asked us to 'turn down' the clarity because it was too much for them!!! I highly recomment this TV, but watch for a sale. We got ours @ $220 off so it was about $1980, but Best Buy has a 60 day price adjustment policy. About 2 weeks after we bought it, the price dropped another $300 so we took our reciept to the store and they credited us the money back!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND WATCHING THE SALES ONLINE AFTER YOU BUY IT, IF THE PRICE DROPS YOU GET THE MONEY BACK!!!!! We ended up getting the TV and the 4 year warranty for about $1650."

"This is my 3rd 40in Samsung lcd and the best. since they added 120hz. Picture comes in clear when watching sports no more blur ( in fast paced movies or tv). Very light weight, wall hanging is easy. I will buy again when If they come out with a 42" model. For what you are getting, Samsung prices can't be beat ."

"My wife and I went in to purchase another Samsung at about $600.00 less and after just looking at the picture quality of this unit it was a no brainer.Yes it does cost more than your average 40" LCD,but 25,000:1 is awesome in contrast and picture quality.With HD and a Blu-Ray,I kid not..it's unbeleivable.The only draw back is once you have HD,the other channels really are very painful to watch,ya feel like you need glasses."

"All I can say about this TV is WOW. What a great TV. Had a 36" HDTV Sony Wega CRT that I sold to get this. Tube HDTVs are still some of the best picture quality tvs on the market but are quickly going away like dinosaurs. LCDs & Plasma have always fallen short in the picture quality catagory but THIS Samsung LCD rivals any on the market. Samsungs customer service is top notch to I called them before purchase with questions about TV & warranty and they were helpful & pleasent to deal with. Able to get this for under 1700.00 w/ a 3 yr warranty. Buy it...you'll be glad you did!!"

"Well first off i got this TV for 1399 including tax and everything it was a steal for that price, did a lot of searching for a hdtv for a long time then i seen this one on sell unbeatable price unbeatable tv, but if your goin to get this tv and take full advantage of it grab yourself a blu ray player bought one and im never goin to look back now everything is so life like, you really do see the diffrence you really do appreciate the colors that this tv can produce."

"The t.v. was a great addition to home theatre. The picture quality is unbelievable and the sound is awesome. Being able to hook up the IPod to the t.v. is a great benefit as well. The quality of the picture is so great and I haven't even installed the HD box from Direct TV yet. If there is any negative it is the remote control isn't compatabile with new Samsung Blueray, and vice versa. These should be interchangeable. Store Employee was very knowledgeable and helpful offering advice on best type/size of t.v. to purchase. Very Glad I purchased"

"I researched TV's for the past six months and waited patiently for the right opportunity to invest in the right TV. I walked into BestBuy and got a great deal on this TV. It holds it's ground with all the features; 20,000:1 Contrast Ratio, 1080p, 39.5 inch Width (the size fit right into our 5 year old entertainment system by half an inch-saved us another $300 instead of purchasing a new stand for the Tv). The picture is good enough without HD channels. We contacted RCN and are receiving a HD box in two days; can't wait to see football in HD (seriously!). The only con is the remote control. Although it can be programmed to manage all of your components (ie: DVD player, Receiver, etc..), it doesn't have enough buttons to take advantage of all the features on your components. That's really it. When you compare this TV to say a Sony 40 Inch Bravia, the price difference is staggering. We paid $1679; bravia $2300. You'll be glad you purchased this TV and trust me, you'll throw out the box right away with no second thoughts on returning it once you power it on. BestBuy Floor agents know there stuff. Hope this helps!"

"I returned Phillips ambient light to get Samsung LN-4069F because it was 36% off. The reason is they have introduced 46" LN-4669F. I only need 40". This is TV scales video much better and by its specs, 25000 contrast ratio, 120 FPS, it is a much better TV just 2" smaller. I hooked up to my HTPC DVI, voilla no problem at all. All my sources are max at 1080i this time. This TV will have capability to migrate into 1080P. I am very happy. I give this unit one star above Phillis Ambient Light (what does that do anyhow?)"

"This is the best TV I have ever owned. The picture is incredible. I have DirectTV which broadcasts in 1080i and the picture is still amazing. I use an antenna for local channels and even in 720p, it is a great picture. Great sound comes out of the TV. Anyone who views my TV wants to get one immediately. Best purchase I have made."

"have had mine for about 6 months now, had a 32" lcd hdtv 720p prior, still have but it is my bedroom now. lol. this 40" is so much nicer, picture quality with the 1080p and the 3hdmi are both pluses, bought a play station 3 with it for the blue ray player primarily, cheaper that way, and all i can say is wow. don't be afraid to spend the money it is worth it. i just wish i would have gone a liitle bigger. lol."

"I have had mine for a week. The picture on it is stunning. Get yourself a blue ray player or PS 3 to go with it. On Blue Ray DVDs the picture is movie theater like. Watching football on it is also great. Even HD TV shows look great. Law and Order and CSI look fantastic. It is not as good on non HD sources, but the picture has more clarity than a 720P set would have. The 3 sets of HDMI hookups is a plus. There is room for DVD player, an HD cable box and a laptop computer. Hook it up to a 5.1 receiver and you have movie theater type sound. Otherwise the sound is only ok. Set the picture setting to dynamic and the auto motion to medium and sit back and enjoy."

"I have been planning on buying an HDTV for the past few months so have kept my eyes open and did as much research as possible and I think we have a winner! Amazing picture quaility, great sound, easy set-up what more can you ask for from a TV? And I haven't even hooked up my HD to test all the attributes but already I'm impressed with the look, feel and technology in this little gem. Adding the upconvert DVD was a big improvement - I went with the Samsung DVD1080P7 to take advantage of the data connect features from Samsung. I haven't been able to get a good feel for the Auto-motion - yet. But once I get HD and we have some sports playing I will put it through the paces but its cool technology anyway (not many TVs even have it). If you are thinking about buying a TV but are hesitant because of the price - don't be; event though it's on the higher end as far as price is concerned its a great buy and you won't regret it.."

4069 Excellent TV11/18/2007

"I've had the 4066 for about 3 months. I exchanged it 3 different times because of "moira" issues (White coming through on blacks) - I finally exchanged it for the 4069 which I couldn't even see because it wasn't on display. The 4069 drops the Clear Anti-Glare High Gloss screen leaving a natural LCD Screen. The results are superb. The 120hz technology is great for 1080 video games but doesn't seem as well on OTA/Cable programming, even HD sports. Leaving the setting off is not a bad thing since the picture is breath-taking. The TV DEFINITELY outperforms the 4066/4065 when it comes to refresh rate. Samsung's product guide states it's 6ms and so does the customer service team. Even with 120hz off, the TV looks better than any LCD i've seen with motion. I'm very impressed."
