What's great about it: 1080P, 3HDMI, 120hz, best picture out there
What's not so great: none....
This is the best TV available - The highest quality picture on the HD channels. Great for BluRay/PS3! Highly recommended. So good that I am getting the same exact TV for my newly finished basement.

What's great about it: can't say
What's not so great: did not work
Very disappointed but glad it happened the same day of pick-up. After high anticipation and preparation coordinating installation the product "fizzled". Literally it did not work. Returned the item hours after picking it up and the Geek squad confirmed it was defective. As I said, I'm glad it happened this quick because I had not purchased the extended warranty. Needless to say I was very disappointed and it inconvenienced everyone. I do not know if I will purchase this same brand of tv.

What's great about it: Great picture
What's not so great: Reliability???
After 6 months the picture went south. Luckily I purchase an extended warranty. Unfortunately, a board had to be replaced; new one ordered; I was told it would take 7 to 10 days to get the part. So, I am without a TV for 2 weeks. Not a happy camper.

What's great about it: lots of inputs, 120hz, matte screen, sharp
What's not so great: crushed shadows, limited viewing angle
I've been reading the reviews for awhile and was interested in a matte screen/120hz HDTV with 178 degree viewing angle. Reviews looked fantastic on this set but after receiving it I immediately realized this was a low end screen (TN) with crushed shadows (purple, green, blue), banding, chroma noise and very poor viewing angles. I called support and they confirmed it was a TN panel. If you are watching straight on it looks fantastic but if you are sitting to the side it sorely lacks in quality (like a laptop screen but not as bad). I wasn't impressed with the PC (HDMI to DVI) quality either and tried several recommended resolutions. Calibrating with a hardware calibrator did not solve any problems but as mentioned, looking straight on was fine so I didn't expect any improvement. I am looking for a set with an IPS matte panel which will avoid these problems. Perhaps the fact that I am a photo editor and image quailty is of utmost importance I am hypersensitive to the short comings of the 4069f but I wouldn't recommend it.

What's great about it: Excellent picture with all inputs, HD OTA TV
What's not so great: Remote
I replaced a T brand 40 with this set after is was damaged. I wanted a step up in picture and this is. Compared to the S brand this was as good and smaller. Its light also which is good for a lighter arm or wall mounting. Only complaint is the remote does not operate Direct TV TIVO. I would also have liked buttons that go directly to that input. Also this and my last TV does not have a guide for over the air tv. My older LG does. No regrets at this price but wish they included a truly universal remote.

What's great about it: Beautiful image, excellent matte-finish screen, Auto-Motion technology.
What's not so great: Love the product too much!
I purchased this television in January and have had seven months with it. It is still an amazing set. The 120HZ technology is perfect for gaming and movie watching. Coupled with Best Buy's callibration service, I've not noticed any slowdown or pixelation ever. Get monster cables. It makes a difference.
I've seen the 650 and 750 Samsungs in the store and while they do have beautiful color (a little more vivid than my model) the screen is fairly glossy. I have a bright room and still feel confident in my purchase. This is an amazing television for anyone who wants the best picture for a brightly lit room.

What's great about it: Everything I was looking for in one TV
What's not so great: No cons
After reading all great reviews and doing my homework this was the only TV that had everything I was looking for. 120hz, LCD, 1080, 3HDMI+ These where the most importtant features, no other had all features in one. This is my first HDTV and I was impressed with the plug in play features and everything was very simple to set. The quallity is great and the sound of the TV is impressive you would think I had surround sound when I'm waiting a movie

I looked at a lot of TV’s for the longest time before I bought this product. Each time, I came back to Samsung. The picture is awesome. So clear! Even regular DVD movies look great. I can’t wait to get a Blue-Ray disc player. This TV has all the inputs one can desire and works well as a computer screen. Great product. Love it!

What's great about it: Anti-glare screen, 120Hz, 1080p, did I mention the socks?
What's not so great: Not-a-one, no complaints
I researched and looked at a lot of TVs for several months (since November) before I finally fell in love with this TV. I visited it many times at the store before deciding to purchase. I've had it for almost a month now, works great!
I recently watched a regular DVD on this TV, and was blown away. I had turned the 120Hz function on high, adjusted some color and sharpness settings, and saw the movie in a way I never could with a conventional DVD player alone. I was playing the DVD on my XBOX, but the image processing in the Samsung was amazing.
It's even the little things, like a strap on the remote control battery cover so you can't lose it, or the light up buttons (at the push of a button).
As far as I'm concerned, this is one of the best 40" models out there.

This TV really lives up to it's stated capabilities. The anti-reflective screen works well in my room with the windows behind me. No glare at all! Clarity is fantastic! Refresh rate makes action scenes very vivid and clear. The colors are right on the mark. No complaints of any kind. This model, with it's top-of-the-line technology, goes on sale often, so keep an eye out for it.

What's great about it: Great Picture, Awesome Colors
What's not so great: High-Def problems & Surround Sound Communication
I've had my new Television and Home Theatre system for over two weeks and have been having several problems. The first was that the firmware on the product is not up-to-date. This has caused the television to lose the high-def signal for a second or two a dozen or more times an hour which is very anoying. I'm waiting to get updated firmware in the mail. Hopefully that will resolve the issue.
The other issue is that something is wrong between the communication of the TV and the Bose 3*2*1 GS Series II system that I've purchased. Something is causing the settings to 'magically change' causing a loss of sound. I have a separate appointment to have someone come out and take care of this problem (but couldn't arrange an appointment for 2 more weeks)
So far, after having spent over $5,000 for products, warranties, and services, I'm pretty disappointed in the overall quality. You think you're buying the best when you buy the upper-end products but apparantly that's not always the caes. Why would they even sell a TV that isn't up-to-date???

What's great about it: Great picture!!
What's not so great: Somewhat expensive
Like most people, I spent a long time researching LCD's. It took awhile to narrow it down, and I found this model at Circuit City's website and the reviews convinced me this one the one to get. In a couple of stores that I went to, some sales people were skeptical on the 120hz being a benefit. One of them said to pick the one that I thought had the best picture without looking at the price or the brand, and I kept coming back to the 120hz's. So...since price does matter :) , Best Buy did some price matching and I walked out the door with the new TV.
Setup was easy. The sound is good, too. I watched some over the air HD and the picture is way better than Comcast HD, IMHO. We watched Over the Hedge on our million year old DVD player and it looked great, and later I watched Blood Diamond on HBO HD and the jungle scenes were awesome.
I would highly recommend this set. Good luck.

What's great about it: Awesome Picture
What's not so great: 120Hz is waste of money
At time of this review, I've had this set for over a month. The picture quality is bright, crisp, and vivid. I am very satisfied with the set, overall.
My only complaint is about the extra money that I paid for 120Hz processing. And I don't use it. This latest technology is considered a necessity by both manufacturers and avid consumers when it comes to set performance. I am an educated consumer, and know how to set-up and use the technology. The latest update has been downloaded directly from the Samsung website, and the processor is easily accessed through the TV menu to adjust at your discretion (High/Med/Low/Off), and a demo setting for split screen comparison.
Sports are my primary viewing, and the processor set on high actually produces a flicker when viewing an overhead view of a flighted golfball against the green background of the course. The update that I installed from Samsung was called the triple-ball update...well, it didn't work. So, I leave the processor, that put these 120Hz sets in a higher price range, in the off position. And its not as bad. And the split screen demo feature shows absolutely no benefit whatsoever, and I have pretty good eyesight...
So... great picture. BUT...save your money on 120Hz processing.

What's great about it: 3 HDMIs, plenty of inputs, beautiful picture
What's not so great: None
I too recently purchased the Samsung LN-T4069 last week. The 120Hz actually sealed the deal for me. I narrowed down my LCD choices to either the Samsung 4066, 4061, and the Sony V3000. All 40inch LCDs were comparable in option and inputs and some had better picture quality when viewing different content/shows. After seeing the 4069 with 120Hz...I knew my mind was made up. The bezel was thin enough to fit in my narrow niche and wasnt has wide as the 4071 (another Samsung 120Hz). I'm usually a Sony guy, but their version was more expensive and too wide. Get this LCD.. you wont be dissapointed.

What's great about it: Great Picture, Great Features, Great Price
What's not so great: None
My wife and I finally purchased our first High Definition LCD television almost one week ago. We’re very satisfied with our choice. It displays an excellent picture, it’s easy to setup, and the menu is easy to navigate.
Like many of you, I spent a good amount of time researching, reading reviews, reviewing top rated LCds for 2007 in places such as CNET and PC Magazine, and watching the in-store TV displays. First, before I narrowed my options of LCDs, I settled on a few key features that I decided had to be included to make my “finalist” list.
The ideal LCD candidate had to be no less than 40”, 1080p, and display at 120Hz. The last feature I mentioned was the most important in my decision (as well as the budget breaker). Early on we had decided on a Toshiba Regaza 46” 1080p 60Hz on sale for $1200, but then we saw it’s display at the store. Though it was hooked up to a Toshiba HD DVD player, we noticed obvious blurring or flutter during action scenes, a common problem with LCDs. However, LCDs that display 120HZ eliminate motion problems by displaying 120 frames per second, twice as much as regular LCDs. I watched NASCAR yesterday on digital broadcasting and motion was smooth and clear, no flutter. Only disadvantage with 120Hz was the price jump but, at the same time, very much worth it. If you like action movies and sports, seriously consider 120Hz.
So we narrowed our list between the Samsung 40” 1080p 120 Hz and the Sony Bravia XBR 40” 1080p 120Hz (Model: KDL-40XBR4). The Samsung already had an edge over the Sony as far as best-rated LCDs of 2007. Samsung dominated the top 10 list while Sony took the last spot. Furthermore, Sony is overpriced (costing a few hundred dollars more) and lacks many useful features that the Samsung includes.
For example, Samsung includes two RF antenna inputs. I hooked up an amplified rabbit-ear antenna and picked up many of my local digital broadcasted channels. I live in a rural area where I can’t get cable or even satellite (trees block angle), so that was very important for me. The Samsung also includes a USB port. I used the port to hookup my Canon PowerShot digital camera and reviewed our family pictures in high definition. Samsung also includes picture-in-picture (PIP). I can view something on TV and have my xbox 360 display simultaneously in a smaller box within the main picture.
While we waited on a home theater and xbox360 order, we had nothing to display high definition, except for local digital channels. I was surprised how well the Samsung handled standard definition from analog channels and standard dvd. It automatically adjusts the aspect ratio to 4:3 when it recognized a non HD format.
We bought a 3-tier glass tv stand, which comes with it’s own adjustable height mount assembly. Once the tv is mounted, it can’t topple over and you can easily turn the tv from left to right to change the viewing angle. I highly recommend if you have young children like we do.
Great TV, great features, great price!

This TV is great! Took out of the box, hooled up the HDMI (You have to purchase yourself) and watched the Grammy's. All under 10 minutes.
Picture is AWESOME.
Also, TV comes with 3 HDMI inputs which are great. This way you can use Cable Box, DVD Player, and XBOX
