What's great about it: Easy to use, perfect gift for an older person that live alone. Who would'a thunk?!
What's not so great: Need to remember to recharge it.

"The ds lite is a great addition to the ds family. It has a lot of good mario games. But if you want a portable game system with lots of features, go with the dsi or psp."

What's great about it: Great price, easy to use!
What's not so great: It can scratch easily, but we bought a nice Hannah Montana cover!
"My 5 year old daughter finds this very easy to use. This has become one of her favorites things to do! She has learned a few things along with playing. I do make sure the games aren't too hard for her as she is just starting to read. There are several for her age group. I would recommend this to anyone thinking about getting one!!!"

What's not so great: NOTHING!
"Everything about this system is great! It has a long battery life, millions of games, it's portable, and it is sooooooo much fun!!! The one flaw I have with it is the way the games are set up. They are a memory card, so you can't let anyone play your game without showing them all of your saved work for the game. But overall, this system is so much fun, it takes 4 hours to charge the first time you plug it in, but after that you won't put it down! Also, if you need to charge it while playing, you can plug it in an dstill use it, (like a cell phone.)"

"I'm in my mid 40's and I bought this DS as a Christmas gift go myself. It came with the Brain Age 2 game. I can honestly say that I play this game everyday. Well, I may have missed a few days here and there, but not many. People think that video games are for kids, but this system offers lots of games that are adult-oriented. I especially like anything that challenges the brain. I take my DS to work with me and play it on my lunch break."

What's great about it: The price, the touch screen, and the gameboy games work on it.
What's not so great: Feel like I'm going to break it soon with opening it too many times
"I bought this because my brother bought one and he really liked it. I also like it alot, it has a touch screen which is cool and the games are awesome, I like the bleach game. I love the color and the size. The fact that it closes is also appealing because with a PSP it is open all the time so the screen is opento anything outside and I would prefer it to be free from scratches. I recommend buying the screen protector, the kind you stick on the screens and the outside."

Hinge breaks really easily!

What's great about it: Super fun!
What's not so great: The hinge breaks so easily and then the game is hard to use and expensive to replace.
"The hinge between the two screens broke on mine. My friend has the exact same model (the crimson/black model) and her's is broken in the exact same spot (on the hinge) with normal use. I keep my DS inside of the case it came with and I havent dropped it or anything. So, I am thinking it is a weakness in the construction. Needless to say it is hard to play with the top screen flopping all over the place. The top wont stay up at all now and so I cant play any games on it and I will have to buy another unit."

"My 5 year old wanted a DS for over a year now and we bought her one for her birthday. She has had it for less then 24 hrs and the screen has many marks on it. But she is hard on all of her things. The games seem to be a little above her head but she will learn."

What's great about it: sleek, slim, battery last very long, great graphics
What's not so great: a bit hard to handle if you play a game that uses the L and R buttons often
"I bought the nintendo DS a couple of weeks ago and I'm addicted to it.
Most games will let you sync with other nintendo DS and play with a single card.
Battery lasts very long, about 8hrs of continuous game play with the lowest screen light contrast (it is quite bright even on the lowest setting).
you can play Game Boy Advance games as well!!"
