What's great about it: Everything, fades, music you can add, I can keep going What's not so great: Burning to dvd
"I just got this program, and it was easy to install, setup and start working on. There are a lot of options you can choose from. It really seems endless on what you can do. But I am really having a hard time burning a project to a blank dvd. I did it once after 4 tries. When i played the dvd it paused 4 times. I tried to burn again to another blank dvd and I keep getting an error that says something about encoding. I need help with this. Please if anyone out there cas help that would be great. Besides not being able to burn to dvd I guess the program is great."

Great software, Great price

What's great about it: For the price , you get a lot of creative options. What's not so great: Don't care to pay for the audio and clipart downloads. Sometimes the instructions show up in German, I don't get it.
"After a couple of hours of using this software, I started making slideshows of our vacations with music and text. Was very impressed with the ease of using this software. A lot of creative options. Definately would recommend this software. I did not have any problems registering this product."

Easily The Best Consumer Slideshow Software

What's great about it: Low price, advanced capabilities, affordable plugins, great output quality What's not so great: No HD or Blu-ray, learning curve a bit higher than others
"As a video professional, some of my slideshow jobs require a level of precision found only in expensive (and complex) programs. That said, the majority of my work calls for "consumer quality" output so I'm always interested in fast, simple, yet highly capable solutions. That's where "Xtreme PhotoShow 6" comes in. As someone who has experimented with virtually every competitive product on the market I can promise you that noting comes close to PhotoShow.
Unlike many similar proggys, PS6 allows static images (digital photos) and video clips to be combined in the same show. Additionally, it's audio mixing capabilities are far superior to most, and it's transition, titling, and animated menu quality are first rate.
Those who aren't quite ready to explore advanced timeline editing will definitely appreciate the "1 Click" theme based story wizard.
One feature I particularly like is an integrated on-line Magix service called "Catooh" which allows users to download (and automatically install) a huge variety of additional content such as theme templates, menus, transitions, auto-music, image decoration sets, etc., at a reasonable price (typically ranging from about $1 to $6 per item or set).
Although beginners should experience no difficulty creating impressive "1 Click" slideshows, a full understanding of the timeline work flow (and other "manual" features) may take a bit of effort. That said, the effort expended far outweighs the potential frustration experienced with competing software products that severely limit the ability to customize projects.
BOTTOM LINE: A great investment for digital photo buffs. Highly recommended to all!"

What's great about it: very user friendly produces great slide shows What's not so great: A little tricky to set up you have to reg. prod. to un-lock burner
"I like this product becouse it is very easy to use and has nothing to do with photo editing.It let's you burn to multiple formats,incl. the best which is D.V.D so you can play them back on any player.The 3D fades are very cool, it has alot of stuff to make very cool and fun slide shows.For the price you can't beat it,the title says it all.The only down side is the initial start up can be a pain, you have to reg. prod. to un-lock burner, but it's worth it. I went online to their site and down loaded the free 7 day trial version, to see if I would like it before I bought it."

What's great about it: Just what I wanted, although for the beginner, No What's not so great: Hard to get activated
"The program looks impressive and plenty of things to do with your CD, DVD's and pictures. I have tried to activate this software for three days, talked to the MAGIX company, via E-Mail in Germany, no luck yet. The problem is after you download on the final page, you get a question(Computer Code) no one knows what that is. I even contacted my computer mfg, they have NO ideal what the MAGIX company is talking about. This code is needed to UNLOCK the software to use. Very discusted."

Great slideshow software

What's great about it: Value, cool effects, does video and pics, extra software What's not so great: Learning curve
"I made some excellent slideshows with this software. This program really does have a surpising amount of effects and options for such a low price. I actually expected much less. Plenty of fades to choose from. Even has basic picture editing built in. If you play with this software for a while, you can come up with some great ideas for transitions and other effects that won't seem so obvious. It also writes well to CD and DVD with no glitches or hiccups. My only complaint is that it took a little while to learn, only because I had never used slideshow software before. And the use is not super intuitive, but you get the hang of it after a short while. A cool plus was the extra software that comes with it for music and such. And you get to choose whether or not you want to install the extras."
