What's great about it: Everything, now can see the hockey and BB players better What's not so great: The price
"The salesman said it was worth the extra $$. Although thinking this may have been a mistake, my husband and I both are amazed. The clarity is soooo much better.
Thinking about getting this for mom, but the $$$. That's WOW also. Had the price been lower, I would have chosen 5 stars."

What's great about it: Realistic color,Clarity,and savings What's not so great: now your tv doesn't have fake tuned up high color(what they do to catch your attention to buy)
"I really didn't think this calibration thing would make the LCD better......boy was I wrong. Now the color is realistic..........we only had the calibration done today and were watching football. 1 game was kinda foggy(from real fog) and the other game was sunny and bright. It was great to see the difference. I watched a full length blue-ray movie and was literally captivated by the landscapes, and the mood.......again foggy. The old settings were over bright and did not give true color. Now my TV is also a mood setter! Latter I watched a cartoon and again the old settings made the cartoon too bright, now it is as if the cartoonist is drawing to real life. This service may seem pricey but!! .......you want the best picture possible from your TV.....and God knows you did pay a lot for your TV,this is the way to get it!"

What's great about it: Heat reduction, 200% picture improvement What's not so great: cost
"Patrick W is my geek squad guy in Rockford IL He is kind, patient, efficient and excellent at his job. I am so very happy I had my new Samsung LCD TV calibrated. The difference is amazing (and I already loved my picture). The heat generated by my TV is reduced by at least 50%. Patrick was very precise in his calibration, making sure it was perfect. He explained the process and the benefits as he went along. My whole experience has been perfect. I have never been so satisfied w/ any purchase in my life. In fact, after all my raving, my sister and brother in law went to the Best Buy in Elgin IL and bought the exact same TV, Sound Bar and installation. I can't say enough good things about Patrick and the results of his work. I am very very happy"

What's great about it: Amazing picture quality, saves energy, great geek squad service What's not so great: nothing
"This a service that i really think everyone needs. Adjusting the picture on the screen menus can never give you anything that this professional instal calibration can give you, and i mean not eve close....
The geek squad installer was soo nice and great to work with. I highly recommend any GS service, they do fantastic work. But anyway this install will also help save you money by lowering your electrical bill and it also will make your TV last longer, so this is a small price to pay"

What's great about it: picture and sound quality is tops now What's not so great: a little pricey??
"Just like the other reviews , why do I need this? But let me tell you one thing, my Samsung 52" is so awsome now. and I thought it already was the greatest!! I am in Metro Detroit area, Chris was my Geek, took off his shoes when he came in, answered all my questions(many of them):I will tell all to get this service. Our Family spends alot of Home time and we use our entertainment area alot, with the blue ray from insignia, and this great calibrated LCD TV, you can't get me away from it now!!! Thanks Geek Squad (Chris)"

"Just wanted to note on here that the sales people that I dealt with made me excited about prospect of a calibration but I thought it wasn't going live up to expectations. I was right, it didn't, it exceeded expectations. The picture quality looks phenomenal and I saved $30 already last month on my electric bill."

What's great about it: dramatic improvement in picture What's not so great: none
"I have a sony front projector with a 100" screen. I already had my 52" sony xbr calibrated a few months back. I did not know that i can also calibrate my projector. After the calibration was done, the black levels and white levels improved dramatically. Take it from me, you will see a difference in picture quality by upgrading cheap cables to monster cables but the best picture upgrade is getting it calibrated."

"If you are going to put down a lot of cash on your home theatre, then you have to buy the TV calibration service. It's well worth the investment. My TV is now running cooler and the picture is amazing. You don't see what you are missing until after the service is complete."

"This is the best service that I think bestbuy has to offer for its customers. My mouth literally dropped after the calibration was complete. If you do purchase this calibration and you are buying a tv $999 and up, you get 100 dollars off the entire purchase which I think is an excellent deal. The geeksqaud agent that came to my house was very friendly. He even took his shoes off at the front door! If you love watching tv and movies, then this is defintely the right service for you! Be prepared to watch the drool run down the side of your mouth when the geeks are done professionally calibrating your HDTV! Amazing!"

"i purchased a 42" insignia plasma and was recommended to get the tv calibrated. At first i thought that it was a marketing pitch. After i had my tv calibrated i can say that it has improved 300%. I have a 32" samsung lcd in my bedroom and my insignia plasma looks better than it. I'm looking to get my samsung calibrated soon."

Tv Calibrations....Everybody Needs to Get It

"i thought this was another dream the associate was selling to me , but after the geek people came in and did the calibration on my 52" samsung ,, i really notice a huge difference .. before when i brought my tv it looked ok .. but it waas a little to hard to watch at night because it was so bright .. but after my calibration ,,, everything looks alot smoother , like i am looking through a window literally. and they also adjusted my speaker system to so now everything is not so distorted when i turn it up . so when i look at my blu rays now the look like a 1000% better .. i highly reccommend everyone get their tvs calibrated by the geeks, its worth it .!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
