What's great about it: Looks nice
What's not so great: Packaging is hard to open; set up is very difficult
I read the reviews first. I thought this would be easy to set up. It was very difficult to set up. The instruction manuels are useless. After more than two hours of effort we still have no music from any of the three speakers. This product was a very big disappointment. I kept the boxes so that I can return all of it to Best Buy tomorrow morning!

What's great about it: Everything amazing!!
What's not so great: Nothing
Great sound. Easy to instal (iif you are a little used to computers).
I got a Play5, a Play3, a Zone Player and a Bridge. Only the Zone Player brought me a little problem to work with my Home Theater. Nothing too hard to solve. I`ve tryed to control it from Galaxy S II, notebook, iPhone and iPad. All OK. Telling again, Fantastic!!!!!

What's great about it: Flexibility of component locations
What's not so great: Not really needed
Even though I own one of these to give greater flexibility in terms of moving Sonos Play and connect components as the mood strikes me, it is not a necessary component of the system. You can create a Sonos system without the bridge if you are able to connect an Ethernet cable from your switch or router to just one Sonos component; the rest can all be wireless.

What's great about it: Simple, elegant, multi-room access to all the music on earth!
What's not so great: It's not inexpensive, but you get more than you pay for here.
The Sonos music system is currently my all-time favorite electronics buy. (My last all-time favorite was the Tivo recorder when it first came out!)
Sonos allows different music streaming in different rooms of your home -- seamlessly with beautiful controls by iPhone, iPad, computer or Sonos' optional own hardware controller. Any radio station on earth with an internet stream (yes, from Greece, Iran, Ireland, you name it!) free. If you have Pandora or Rhapsody or Slacker or any internet service (all of em: Mog, Spotify, LastFM, etc., etc.), then you have it in different rooms as you wish. If you have iTunes, you have access as well.
Unlike its competitors, it is elegant and extremely simple to hook up and roll with. Updates with more features continue and also seamlessly and without additional charge.
I bought this bridge to use with a portable S5 in my office, after having many rooms at my home hooked up.
I don't know ANYONE who has purchased a Sonos that isn't in love with what it brings to the party, or the home or the office! And, I have NO relationship with this company at all. It earns your praise over and over!

What's not so great: Nothing I can find!
Very easy to setup and use. Streams internet radio and music from my computer to a Sonic Radio throughout my home. Works very well and is small and unobtrusive. Easily hidden in my office.

What's not so great: who want's to do setup every single time to hear music?
remember sarah palin's bridge to nowhere? this is the digital version of it. hook it up and have it work once, then get to do it again every time you want to hear music. love the concept of wireless music using an old iphone. too bad it's all hype in the store and total frustration back at the house.

I have linked my Bridge to a Apple Time Capsule and it worked first time. I was concerend it would be difficult buit just followed the instructions. It picked up my iTunes music and all worked very easily with the iPad app.
It links well to the other Sonos items I have a 5, a 3 and a 120. Well designed

What's great about it: When it works, it is a nice way to stream music around the house.
What's not so great: Existing features removed by Sonos after purchase.
Buy with caution if you plan on using Sonos with a subscription service. You own the device but they own and frequently "update" the software it uses. Sonos will remove existing advertised services/abilities from the devices without warning or recourse. If you own all your tunes and do not use any streaming services you are probably safe.
If maintaining an existing feature requires effort or expense on their part, don't be surprised if it is eliminated. Remember, they already have your money and they have complete control over the software the Sonos devices use.

What's great about it: overall quality, wireless, extends range
What's not so great: conflicts with wireless N networks
Best price for what you get for any Sonos component. Quality? Well, this is Sonos so I'd say great! My 2 issues with Sonos are 1) conflicts intermittently with wireless N networks, and 2) slightly overpriced, although you get what you pay for. For this component, Sonos has eliminated issue #2 as the price is extremely reasonable. For a 5 star rating though, I'd expect a premium wireless audio system to be compatible with the current standard for wireless networks, expecially since Sonos is marketed to be network ready.

What's great about it: Reliable, easy to set up
What's not so great: Nothing
As I understand it Sonos uses a unique spectrum to transmit music throughout your house. This item allows you to run the system when you don't have a stereo right next to your router or when you have a big house and you need to boost the coverage of your Sonos system. If you love music, this is a great way to get it onto your stereo conveniently.

What's great about it: Great functionality and ease of setup
What's not so great: It is a bit pricy
Picked up the Sonos bridge and the unit that connects to a stereo tuner amp on recommendation of a colleague. This couldn't have been easier to implement - it is too bad every other wireless device doesn't work as easy as the Sonos gear! Pretty much just connect it to your network - load the software (I downloaded the latest from their web site) and press the button on the top of the unit. Even the firmware upgrade is simple and automated. Adding additional Sonos units is painless as well. I have this setup operating on the 2 GHz WiFi network on channel 1 whilst my normal data network is on channel 11 (so they don't interfere with each other). Extremely easy to access my iTunes library or one of thousands of Internet radio stations.
