Definately no iPod

What's great about it: Large screen, sound quality
What's not so great: zune marketplace, scroll mecanism, limited connectivity
"I recently bought this new zune and was fairly dissappointed. I think if you have never owned an iPod, you will be just fine with it but iPod owners most likely will be disappointed. The main thing is that its music program is like prehistoric. ipod works so much more seamlessly with iTunes. The screen is nice and big, which is a big plus.
I also do not like the "squircle" scroll thing. It is more like a clickwheel ripoff. I decided to buy the iPod classic. Much better buy and the battery is like 10 hours longer."

What's great about it: Pic quality, lots of storage, and radio
What's not so great: little expensive (but worth it), marketplace won't work, lost a couple songs (can't find on my com. or zune anymore.)
"I had been wanting an mp3 player for the longest time. Almost got the 30gb zune for xmas last year, then the 2nd generation zunes came out. I waited, got my zune with my tax return, I've had it for a month now, and I love it! 6 movies, 500 songs, and 200 pics...only 6 gb used! The zune marketplace was kinda a pain for me, but I download songs from limewire and it works fine. Picture quality is amazing! Most of my friends have Ipods, and I've watched movies and looked at pics on Ipods. The picture quality on Ipods doesn't even come close to competing with zune. Radio is also a nice alternative when you just don't feel like being the dj. Ofcourse, its has its gliches, mine froze up for a little while but its goes back to normal in 10 mins or so. But since I bought my zune everyone who has seen it likes it better than the Ipod. I definitly would recommend the zune to anyone, I'm even buying the new red one for my wife for mother's day."

What's great about it: Zune Pad, Interface, Big Screen, Custom Background, Storage, Premium Headphones
What's not so great: Not a lot of accesories available
"I got my Zune in January and it has worked with no problems whatsoever. I thought it was kinda cool to be able to change the back ground to whatever i wanted and the big letters on the main screen are nice to look at and were easy to read. One thing that is really nice are the headphones it comes with. There wasn't any time where one instrument couldn't be heard...WOW."

"zune is def. one of the best mp3 players out there. i have never had any problems with mine, other than when i dropped it, the screen cracked. very good product, much better than ipods."

What's great about it: much better picture, heavy-duty [wont break easy], more understandable to use.
What's not so great: hard to download at first to figure out what to do, theres alot to learn

"I love my zune. I got it as a Valentine's Day present, and ever since then it hasn't left my hand. It's great for in the gym, listening to while I do paperwork, and you can plug it into your t.v. to watch your videos ANYWHERE! What's great about it: lots of memory, can hold pictures, videos music all you need

"I love this product. I purchased it about a year ago and it is amazing. I have pictures, videos and about 1,000 songs on it. I recommend it to anyone. I took it with me on vacation and listened to music, watched videos looked at pictures all in one. it is great!"

"I had it working for about 2 months and then is didn't charge anymore. I had to use the warranty and they send me a brand new one.
I was dissapointed. I take good care of it. I had a Creative mp3 players before and they are still working fine."

What's great about it: Easy navigation, nice size screen, radio
What's not so great: Limited video on Zune Marketplace
"I've had my Zune for a while now and love it. It was either this or the iPod and I don't regret the decision at all. The radio feature is nice when I'm tired of my own music collection. The screen is big. Definitely worth it for 80G, plays everything, radio, photos, etc."

"This is my 3rd mp3 player, and best by far. Great storage capacity, nice UI, and my kids love to watch downloaded WMV movies and cartoons on it. Just wish it was smaller/lighter. The desktop software is a little clunky, too. I also wish I could sync it with WMP, but can't yet."

What's great about it: Great video quality, great download quality, easy to setup and use, better than the Ipod
What's not so great: Have to search a bit for a program to convert movies to you Zune
"I am very satisfied with the product that I bought. It is alot easier to setup than the Ipod. I have setup both and this one proved easier. It has a better kind of tech support because of its Microsoft base. The quality of the downloads and rips are excellent. I also like that the Album art are included whenever you rip a CD to your Zune. The syncing is alot faster than on an Ipod. I also like that I can sync music on any computer not just on the main computer on which the software is installed on. Although this only works on computers that have the software installed on it already."

"I have had my 80g Zune for 3 months and I use it everyday. Proir to purchase, I almost bought an Ipod. To check out the programs they both run on, I downloaded i tunes and the Zune marketplace. Microsoft's version wins hands down! Way easier to navigate. Movies look great and the earphones that they come with are far superior to anything I would expect. Would highly recommend to anyone in the market for a top quality mp3 player. I am hooked!!!"
