Nice addition to the series

What's great about it: Graphics, Gameplay, Weapons, Vehicles, Online, single player campaign.
What's not so great: High system requirements.
"I enjoy this game just as much as UT2004 and UT2003. The graphics are WAY updated. But the only problem is, you may need a medium-high quality graphics card. This game provides hours of online fun with its online gamemodes and new additions. This is my 2nd favorite game in the unreal series (my favorite is UT2004). The great thing is, unlike ut2004 and ut2003, and UT, it has a story mode, just like the original and second unreal games. Hope you enjoy!"

Addicting

What's great about it: Very addicting, challenging, and fun
What's not so great: without graphic card, the graphics are terrible
"This game is incredible. You can play for hours if your a fan of FPS's, the only problem is that at times, the challenge may be too large, and without a top of the line graphics card, you'll have to stick with terrible graphics, but besides this, you'll still find yourself plaing this game for hours, extremely entertained, and best of all, it's free to play online!!!!!!!!!!!"

What's great about it: Great Graphics, Awesome weapons.
What's not so great: None
"Great improvements from previous versions. You have a hoverboard and can link to the back of vehicles. The vehicles are awesome Raptor is probably the best. Tons of MODs you can download and new levels galore. Gamespot.com is the best place to find levels and MODs."

What's not so great: poor single player

What's great about it: amaysing gameplay, Graphics, and online
What's not so great: weak singleplayer campaign
"I agree that the singleplayer for this game could have been better its not bad its just it could have inmproved, but the reason im giving this a 5 is because of the amaysingly fun online that I think overpowers the singleplayer dissapointment"

"This game has very smooth gameplay. The online multiplayer is very fun. Good graphics, overall a good game with a very few minor drawbacks. I dont like the singleplayer. Its really not that great, but the multiplayer makes up for it."

What's great about it: Sweet gameplay
What's not so great: Short Singleplayer
"This is a really fun game for multiplayer. Singleplayer campaign can do alot better though it was way to short and the missions were repetitive. This game is beatable in 1 day. But the online play is great."

What's great about it: Graphics,Online, Map editor, User created content
What's not so great: so-so single player.
"This game is just like Unreal Tournament 2004 just with really good graphics and a single player mode that actually has a story. The game runs off the Unreal engine 3 which is the same engine that Gears of war runs off of so the game looks good. It also performs well at least on the PC's that I've tried. The single player still isn't the greatest but, it's a good way to learn the game. The hover board adition to vehicle maps is really nice. Once again this game comes with the map editor and there are many people making great maps for the game so you'll never run out. If you can figure out how to use the editor than you can make maps as well however it is very complicated. Online is still a blast which it should be since this is primarily an online shooter."

Good Game

What's great about it: Follows gameplay of original series, new campaign mode, great graphics
What's not so great: Requires a lot of computing power, same old weapons, so-so story-line
"Unreal Tournament 3 is a good continuation of the UT series. Those familiar with the series will find themselves wielding the same weapons and performing the same basic evasions as the old games. The campaign missions are very challenging and a great way to get used to the game if you are a new player, or just haven't played in quite a while. The AI is still very challenging (at high levels). However, to some, it is a bit of a disappointment that there are not really any new weapons. Sure there may be a few new vehicles (and they rock!), but all-in-all, UT3 has the same feel, weapons, and basic features of the old UTs. It is also unfortunate (for those of us with little money) that UT3 requires a fairly powerful machine to enjoy even the basic graphical features this game has to offer. Overall, UT3 is a good game, but leaves plenty of room for improvement."

What's great about it: Graphics have been updated
What's not so great: You played this game when it was called Unreal 2003
"One of the things I expect from a new game, is a new game. Here we find almost everything in the game, maps - weapons, to be ported over from older titles. I feel like I played all of this already.
Further, the dumbed down for consuls feel of the interface is irritating.
If you are looking for fun FPS gaming, get Team Fortress 2 - or, go outside into the sunshine and play paintball."

Absolutely amazing

What's great about it: Fast-paced, great graphics, unparalled gameplay
What's not so great: Weak story line....
"I have been playing First-person shooters since the days of Duke Nukem and the Unreal Tournament series is untouchable. The first version came out in 1999,and it got my attention away from all of the competitors. Its sooo fast paced so prepared to be challenged and entertained. The detail in the arenas are amazing and the gameplay is the best. Its story line isn't the strongest, and I am actually surprised they even tried, but it is very entertaining none the less. The action will keep you on the edge of your seat and your palms sweating. Arguably the best first person shooter there is."

PC gaming still alive and kicking

What's great about it: Graphics, FAST solid gameplay, Fun. Runs surprisingly great on PC
What's not so great: Nothing really "new"
"I was a HUGE fan of original UT99 and a pretty big fan of UT2k4. However the original was still the best FPS I've ever played. This is a snazzed up mixture of 2k4 gametypes and UT99 mechanics all put into one of the best looking shooters made. The only thing Ive seen prettier is Crysis and that takes a lot of PC to run. UT3 surprisingly runs great on lesser machines. Refreshing break from all the RainbowSix, COD4 "real world" type of shooters and nice to go 'Unreal" for a while."
