Great Product for Beginners! 04/20/2008

What's great about it: efficient tablet, highly sensitive
What's not so great: mouse isn't needed

"If you have never owned a tablet before, the Wacom Bamboo Fun is an excellent starting point. The pen is comfortable and easy to hold, and the level of sensitivity is amazing.
It also comes with four customizable buttons on the tablet itself, which can make the tablet even more user-friendly than it already is.
The software that comes with the tablet is okay for someone who's just starting out, but it isn't the most powerful. If you plan on really utilizing the tablet, you will want to invest in a more premium design suite software package.
Overall, this is an excellent product. The size is convenient and portable, the absolute positioning is tricky at first but easy to get used to, and the learning curb is small."

What's great about it: the price and the pen-on-paper feel
What's not so great: installing it on Basic Vista/not wireless

"I had read about the Pen presser not working on Vista basic. I found that it DID work. The only issue that I had with it, was the eraser that wouldn't work for a while but recently started to work. And installing it didn't work out at all. But it seems that my Vista basic automatically updated the soft-ware. It could of been because I had a tablet installed from before and what not that updated to Bamboo. (I had a graphire 3). I really am happy about this purchase overall."

What's great about it: i love the sensitivity and the programmable buttons make navigating a little easier for me.
What's not so great: nothing really..just wish i could look at my hands to see what im doing.

"i loove this tablet. i use it for editing pictures and i love it. the mouse really isn't a problem for me except that i automatically try to use it off the pad, lol. as a beginner this tablet is fantastic for it's price so im hoping ill get a good use from it while i have it."

What's great about it: is very easy to use and durable
What's not so great: NOTHING, so far

"I have owned this tablet since june of 08 and I have enjoyed it ever since, when I purchased it I was using a computer that ran XP and it worked great!! i can do anything on there. I recently purchased a computer with Vista Basic and i realized i had lost the install CD and easily found the driver on Wacom's website. The updated driver even had more features! i am very pleased with this product and would, and am recommending it to my friends who are looking into purchasing tablets."

What's great about it: Very easy to learn...awesome results!
What's not so great: for the price.....nothing

"I bought this product based on prior reviews and have to admit I am very satisfied with my purchase. It does exactly what it says and more. The best part about it is that it comes with three software programs. The sketch part works great. I can't believe how realistic it is. I couldn't believe I wasn't using a real pen. This might be a beginner's tablet but it packs a powerful punch. The only part I still need practice with is writing. For the price, I highly recommend it."

What's not so great: not compatable with ALL Windows "VISTA"

"Before purchasing this I read all the reviews and was very excited about my new gadget.The box clearly says compatable with windows "VISTA".Great cant wait to get it home.I get home and download it ,only to find that windows Vista Basic will NOT run it.It DOES NOT state thta it will not work with windows VistaBasic.So I now had to purchase the" UPGRADE" if I wanted to use this product.So I purchased the upgrade and the upgrade uninstalled all of my programs!After re-installing the bambo it is a fun product.However,I would have enjoyed this a LOT more had I known in advance the steps I would have to go through to use it."

AMAZING PRODUCT!!! 08/17/2008

What's great about it: easy to use and set up, doesn't take up much space, really fun ^_^
What's not so great: a little expensive, the mouse is a little hard to use

"I bought this product earlier today (I even used it to get to this website) and I already love it. It's just so easy to use and understand. The tutorial it comes with in th installiation CD is extremely helpful and easy to follow. I was really surprised at how light it was and how sensative the tablet was. I don't like the mouse too much, because it's almost as big as the tablet's active space, but with the pen, it's unnecessary anyway. It's just too much fun using the pen! I can't wait to start drawing with it!"

What's great about it: Beautiful, 4 programmable shortcut buttons + scroll pad, include mouse and pen, spacious active area, price
What's not so great: Not wireless

"I love this thing. it takes a little getting used to but I love it. Its great to be able to choose what you want to use. You have the pen, mouse, and a tracpad if you have a laptop. This is great for any one who is in the field of graphic design or anyone who is looking for a change in how they interact with their computer. Highly recommended."

What's great about it: Very user friendly
What's not so great: The Wacom could use a slightly larger pad area; for the cost.

"The cordless features are a definite plus over previous styles. The ease of "touching-up" photos with ease is extraordinary! The sensitivity is pristine; better than some PC touch-pads I have used in the past five years. Right on the money. Overall, an exceptional product for the business office pro or novice home user. It is great for using on a big screen TV to do homework on for a group (or college) in your own livingroom; or just playing games on. Fantastic!"

What's great about it: The pen is very confortable. The tool they give you are easy to learn.
What's not so great: The mouse only works on the pad but thats the only problem.
