What's not so great: It was broken
I tried twice and then realize that the pat was not spinning so the machine was broken. This was my first bread machine so base on this experience I may not go for a second one soon.
I returned the machine

What's great about it: bb's price (I assume "convection" is a unique and expensive feature)
What's not so great: "convection" means "tiny, ordinary, cheap fan;" necessity to mod the cips; same gauge steel as in Barbie's Dream Kitchen
The manufacturer seems to expect the bread pan won't fit securely -- they say you have to bend the clips out if the pan doesn't "click" into place. There is a click at the base of the unit, but nothing from the clips, so assuming they aren't meant to act as springs but rather lock the pan down, I bent the hell out of mine. Wish I could draw this here: the clips bend up and out at a slight angle from the interior sides of the machine ("leg 1",) then they bend flat (parallel to the lid/floor, "leg 2") then back down at a similarly slight angle ("leg 3".) The 1st leg needs to be flush with the sides of the interior, and if the clips still won't pop over the receivers on the bread pan, then the 3rd leg needs to be bent out. Of course, you get to fight with the clips at the end of the cycle to pull the 2billiondegreekelvin bread pan back out.

What's great about it: Almost everything
What's not so great: Wish they supplied more recipes specifically for the breadmaker.
The crust selector is a little darker in reality than what its setting is. That is a minor detail though. It also vibrates when it is kneading the dough so don't set it up near the edge of the counter.

What's great about it: easy to use and follow instructions
What's not so great: it takes too long to cook the bread and the bread its heavier than normal
I like this bread maker because its easy to use and it comes with a recipe book the you can play with. The only complain that i have is that fact the it takes too long to bake the bread and i don't know why the bread it's weight a lot it just feels heavy. Bread taste good even though is heavy.

What's great about it: versatility
What's not so great: the stirring/kneading paddle's a little difficult to place just right, and it's really noisy
Overall, this bread machine is pretty terrific. It makes multiple sizes, and the loaves are more like traditional ones, rather than those that look like they came from a coffee can.

What's great about it: So far has cooked a perfect loaf of bread every time
What's not so great: A little noisy
Right out of the box this thing made a great loaf of cinnamon raisin bread which was the hit of the office next day. The only thing "extra" I had to do was add a bit of water to the dough as it was being kneaded. The recipe seemed to be a couple of tablespoons short on liquid. I seem to need to add extra water with every recipe out of the Breadman book, but I have no problem doing so. The loaves rise well and come out perfect every time. I think the convection baking may help in that regard. I love the little compartment into which you put fruit or other additives - the Breadman dumps them into the dough during the last knee/punch cycle so they don't get kneaded to microscopic bits.
I gave the machine a 4 on "usefulness" simply because it is a bit noisy, though certainly no noisier than other bread machines I have had.
My only wish: that someone would make a bread maker with a normal-shaped loaf! However, this one is the closest yet. Slice a piece of bread off the Breadman loaf, and then cut the slice in half and you very closely approximate two normal sized square slices of bread. Works fine.

What's great about it: fruit and nut dispenser, easy to use settings
What's not so great: no high altitude conversions
I had been wanting a bread machine for quite some time before I decided on this one. One of the first things that I liked about it was the fruit and nut dispenser because my 2 & 3 year old LOVE cinnamon raisin toast. I also liked the stainless steel because it matched my other appliances. The manual has tons of recipes in it which is REALLY nice. The only downfall is that it didn't have a high altitude conversion, but I was able to Google that.
I have had this for about 2 months now and I have used this to make white bread, cinnamon raisin bread, pizza dough and more. It has all come out perfect! I HIGHLY recommend!

What's great about it: I like the various setup for making different items
What's not so great: grease gets on bread and have to throw it away.
called breadman customer sevice about the grease they said it will quit in time, mean while I have to keep throwing out bread I will make 3 more loafs and return it if it doesnt fix it. he said they have had the problem with others and they dont replace the pan as it is no longer availible. I will more than likely return it anyways. even though I liked everything else about it who know if we ate grease on the first 3 breads I hope not, breadman C S claims its safe.

What's great about it: Very easy!
What's not so great: I haven't found any yet!
I asked for a cheaper breadmaker as a gift for Christmas. My brother-in-law upgraded me from the cheaper other brand name breadmaker to this more expensive one and it has been awesome! It is so easy to use and the bread comes out wonderful every time. Like the other reviewer mentioned, you just dump in the ingredients in the order given and choose your settings, and the breadmaker does everything else - mixes, lets rise, bakes. And clean up is super easy.
By the way, I have since read reviews on the cheaper, different brand name model that I had requested. It got a high star rating, but it seems that that high star rating must be due to the low price because all of the reviews I read said the bread fell every time. Sometimes it pays to spend a little more-and unless you want a breadmaker that just sits on your counter taking up space for no reason, this is one of those times!

What's great about it: Easy to use, good instructions, easy clean up
I got this bread maker as a gift and I never realized how much I would enjoy having a bread maker! The instruction book has SO many different types of bread to make and even makes jam, which I have yet to try making. I use it about twice a week lately. It is really user friendly and all you do is put the ingredients into the pan in the order listed and set it and 3 hours later you have bread.
I haven't had good luck with the light crust setting; the one time I used it my bread wasn't fully cooked in the center and didn't realize it until it was too late and had to throw the loaf away. Since then I always use the medium crust setting instead.
