"This is one of the worst products I have ever purchased. The price was only a few dollars different from the other brands, so it is definitely worth spending the extra $2 for a product that works. The fan is nowhere near where it needs to be so you have to move the laptop around. The stand digs into your lap. The fan is so loud that I had it plugged in for about 30 seconds before I decided to return it. There are way better choices out there. Do not waste your time or money."

Pros: Cooled laptop fairly well
Cons: Lasted less than three months before it stopped working
"I purchased this for use with my Toshiba laptop. At first glance, it was fine. The single fan wasn't in the best location for use on my laptop so I always had to adjust the laptop's position on it. Overall, it did the job fine. Unfortunately the fan stopped working after about three months of use. I don't think that is a very good value at all. Spend a little more and get one that has two fans! You'll be happier, I promise."

"Item is lightweight, and not too bulky. The single fan on mine is not overly noisy. The foldable legs could be better, but overall it does what it should, help keep your laptop running cooler."

"Last summer, I bought an Antec cooler because my brother's old cooler wasn't even working (note: laptop's a hand-me-down). Whenever the computer's on, the fans, obviously, are on as well. Please take note that I use the computer FREQUENTLY.
Skipping to this summer, I decided to replace the Antec not because it sucked (it's still working fine), but because it didn't fit my computer properly -- there's a bump near the RAM area in order to make sure that the area is receiving "good enough" ventilation. Since I didn't want to shop online at the time, I decided to buy this.
When I used the Rocketfish cooler, it fit my laptop like a charm because the middle area has no surface, thus the bump doesn't do anything. However, what I did realize was that the fan was really loud compared to my Antec fan. Until now, that has never bothered me.
Fast forward to today: I now hear some strange buzzing noise. Originally, I thought this was my computer. However, I decided to diagnose the problem. Lo and behold, I take off the plug from the cooler, and the sound stops.
Overall, this product is worthy of scold. I thought this product was meant for hardcore computer usage (Rocketfish = gaming products of BestBuy), but obviously it's not. I paid the same amount for my Antec; the Antec cooler is still working like a charm. Not to mention the fact that the Antec has dual fans, and better casing."

Slightly Disappointing...

"All the reviews said how quiet it was and how well it worked but I'd disagree. The one fan in the middle does not provide enough ventilation to properly cool a laptop because components that typically get hot are not located smack dab in the middle of the laptop so i still have trouble with overheating. It's also rather tall in the back which may be good in most cases but my laptop, an XPS, is already wedge shaped so its too high in the back. Not THAT quiet either. i can readily notice the whirring sound of the fan and its not because its broken or anything. It's also not wide enough, so your laptop just hangs over the sides, making it difficult to move both at the same time. Liked the cord compartment though. That's pretty much all I am satisfied with."

Pros: It gets the job done.My computer now doesn't overheat and shut down when on my cushtop.
Cons: Because the laptop doesn't slide onto the fan, I have to frequently readjust it so the air goes where it needs to.
"I recommend it if you're looking for something affordable and runs quietly. The feet of it are annoying at times when they have to be aligned for good airflow, but other than that it's fine."

"I bought this fan as a precautionary measure for my new laptop, to keep it from overheating obviously. So far the fan has worked great, with no problems, and my laptop has not overheated at all. It's also really simple, as you need only to plug the USB cord in and the fan starts right up, and the fan itself is incredibly quiet. I've had it for about 2 months, and have no complaints about this cooling fan whatsoever."

Pros: It worked great for the first 3 months...
Cons: After 3 months it has started to make loud noises like the fan is breakin...
"Well... At first I bought this product for my gateway fx laptop thinkin... this product has amazin reviews and I want something to cool down a REALLY hot computer... And it definitely cools it down... but after a couple of months the fan is startin to make really loud sounds like it's about to break or something... I hit it once or twice and it stops makin the sounds... lol... Not the most amazin thing I've ever seen... lol... but maybe I just got a bad one..."

"I recently had an issue with my new laptop battery running weak. HP told me it needed replaced. The tech rom HP suggested that I buy this cooling fan to extend the life of my new battery. I can notice the difference right away. Longer times on the laptop without burning my legs in bed or having to change over the wall outlet for power."

"I purchased this cooling stand when I made my first laptop purchase a month ago. I have not used the laptop without the cooling stand, so I cannot make a comparison without the stand. All I can say is that I had read before my purchase that these were good to have and it sure seems to do the job. The fan is very quiet and runs as soon as you power up the laptop and automatically turns off when the laptop is powered down.
Simply place the laptop on the stand and connect it via a short USB cable provided with the cooling stand. I can leave the laptop running for hours without fear of it overheating."

"This product is a complete disappointment. Magically, the motor in this device started making noise about 6 weeks after purchase. I am now into the 4 month of use and the motor keeps getting louder and louder. But lucky I discover if I tap it in the back, it stops making noise for 15 to 45 minutes.
DONT BUYS THIS --- IT IS JUNK"

"Before I got this stand my laptop would get so hot it would (a). Leave a nasty burn on the person foolish enough to leave it sitting on their lap, or (b.) Shut itself off with no warning to prevent a melt down. Since I got this stand, I've had no problem whatsoever with my laptop overheating! The USB connection is great, and lets you use the stand even if you're not near an outlet. The little bit of power drained to run the stand is nothing compared to the increase in battery life and performance I've gotten now that my laptop runs cooler. Would definately buy this stand again!"

"I purchased two of these fans because I had a $25 gift certificate and needed something for my laptop. I use a smaller laptop and it covers the whole bottom of it and keeps if very cool. My husband uses a larger laptop and it doesn't completely cover the bottom, but it still stays cool.
It's also very quiet although you can hear something if you think about it. Love that it's USB powered so that if the computer hibernates or sleeps, the fan stops, too. The cutout in the bottom helps it stay cool as well.
It also gives a small lift underneath so it's not directly on my lap/legs and not directly on any other surface, either. Some expand to make the laptop higher, but it's OK.
Over all a great product and great delivery! Definitely an A++ product."

"My laptop used to over heat and shutdown then I purchase a cooling stand and it didn't work at all my laptop shutdown within hours of using it then I decided to go to a local best buy, I saw this product so I decided to buy it and I'm so happy that I did because I'm able to be on my laptop all day and night so I would recommend this product to anyone who have doubts about this product I love it and the price was dirt cheap so I can happily say I got my money's worth and then some"
