What's great about it: Even heating, easy to use, great price, well built What's not so great: Nothing, so far
"We bought this stove when remodeling our kitchen and I am so glad we did. I love to cook and this stove makes it easy to do. I like the convection oven feature; it cooks evenly and reduces baking time. After using the warming drawer once, I can't do without it. The appearance is beautiful and the performance is even better!"

Samsung Electric Convection Stove
10/24/2008
By hiteknoligifrom washington metro area
What's great about it: Features, Factory Warranty coverage of the Ceramic Glass What's not so great: Not Sure yet so far, so good
"Looks great in my kitchen. First ceramic glass I owned. Easy to clean the flat top comparing from my traditional coil stove. I just got it about 2 weeks ago and I am happy with it so far. Price was on sail w/ free shipping. What attracted me the most is the 5 yr manufacturer warranty of the ceramic glass and 1 yr on parts and labor. The other brands does not offer more than a yr. Didn't have to buy extended warranty."

What's great about it: The oven is a dream What's not so great: Have to reach across the range top to reach controls
"This stove works. I moved from a home with gas appliances and was afraid that I wouldn't be able to get good performance from an electric stove--I was wrong. This stove works well, heats quickly, is easy to clean and is also attractive. You should see how a take-and-bake stuffed pizza comes out when the convection oven is used--you would love it. This is a great machine"

What's great about it: High end looks, no components feel cheap What's not so great: wish cooktop was speckled and that it came in all black
"We were originally looking for a completely black range, since we have no stainless accents in our kitchen. However, we fell in love with the style and features available on the Samsung range. We actually prefer this model to the more expensive one, because of the black accents and the fact that the touchpad isn't one of the smooth glass ones. I and other people I know have problems making those glass touchpads recognize us when we touch them - I have to lick my finger and tap it really quickly and ridiculous things like that. The more standard bubble ones (like on this range) are much easier to use. The oven cavity is gigantic and the warming drawer spans almost the full width of the range. We found that many other storage/warming drawers only were 18" wide or so when you opened them. Additionally, the drawer glides on the Samsung line are much smoother and sturdier than on similarly priced ranges. They feel more like the high end Electrolux and Bosch models."

What's great about it: Looks, function, ease of use, features What's not so great: None so far
"We bought this range and the Samsung 1100 watt microwave to go with it. We have been using it daily for over a month and have had no issues. Oven looks fantastic and has peformed even better. We liked the industrial sleek appearance with the large silver controls (Knobs). It has a warming drawer, three convection fans, dual zone burners, steam clean and many extras we have not even had the chance to use yet. We compared and shopped for quite a while. We ended up getting this unit on sale, saved quite a bit over other options we were looking at and it had many more features. Our kitchen now looks a lot more updated as a result, would highly recommend. Great Unit!"

What's great about it: Good Looking, Fast Heating, Decent Controls What's not so great: Hard to keep clean
"This has been our third disappointment with our Samsung kitchen suite. Something spilled on the top, and because of the design of the stove door it actually got between the inner and outer glass of the door. Solution: Unscrew the inner part of the door.
Now, spilling on any stove does happen now and again, and the point to this type of range (glass top) is that it is supposed to be easy to clean and maintain. Not only is the surface itself harder to clean than any other glass top stove I've seen, but the leaking into the door is weird and should be easy to design around.
Apart from that, the controls are well laid out if not always intuitive (things like the cooking timer take some getting used to and are not intuitive.) The heating elements are well laid out, and the knobs have a satisfying smooth motion that gives the stove a quality feel. Heating happens quickly, which was important to us - we would have preferred a gas range, but that can't be hooked up in our condo.
Overall, the suite has been a big disappointment, with every item having problems. Samsung customer service has been awful, worst I've experienced. As much as it's pretty, I can't recommend buying this range."

Great Range

What's great about it: Great features for price; Fairly easy to keep clean; Large Dials What's not so great: none so far
"This is a great stove. I researched ALOT before buying and all things kept pointing back to this one. Warming drawer, which I thought I wouldn't use much is GREAT. Keeps things warm when my family is late for dinner. Everything is very user friendly. I didn't even need to read the directions to figure out any of the timer options. Pre-heats relatively quickly. Cooks everything evenly. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a new range!"

One Very Nice Range!
06/24/2008
By BillyZfrom Seattle, WA
What's great about it: appearance, convection, no exposed lower heat element What's not so great: none, so far
"Honestly, while in the process of remodeling my kitchen I first noticed this range because of the appearance and large knobs. But then after much research with all the more well known oven brands and my requirements - Convection, Stainless, warming drawer, a 5th (low heat burner), and = or < $1000... this range hit the top of my list, after a bit more research I bought one.
I haven't used the steam clean option yet. The warming drawer is not a 2nd oven with a true thermostat but has 3 settings (L,M,H) and while not warm enough to cook anything will keep your dishes warm nicely if your prep timing is as bad as mine. The warming zone (5th burner) is for low heat and has 3 settings as well.
When convection is selected, the temp is automatically lowered by 25 degrees (which seems about right). The 3 convection fans are virtually silent, and stop when the door is opened. They are also used during normal pre-heat and the oven chimes when up to selected temp. The Digital Display is Blue Florescent and the touch pad is membrane and not glass on this model.
The large window provides good visibility to the interior which has two shelves and isn't a nauseating ELECTRIC Blue, just a nice fleck Grey.
Overall, I am very pleased with this range, it's features and price."
