What's great about it: Sound quality - Video quality - Ease of use
What's not so great: Need a screen protector

"Very easy unit to operate. Not propritary like Zune and iPod - you do not have to use their service to download music or video. The touch screen is large and the picture is great. Sound quality with included ear buds is excellant. Used it for 6 hours straight and had 3 of 4 battery bars."

"I love my Samsung p2, for the price I've paid it is totally worth the money!
It has great sound, and so many features, easy to load songs on it,easy to use, perfect size, very clear pictures, I'm just so happy with it! I'm using my Samsung p2 to study a language, there is "A-B" point that you can pick to continual listen to it until you get it, so far it is the only mp3 player does this for me, it's very helpful.
Best buy peoples are very friendly and helpful, if you need mp3 player I will suggest you buy from them."

What's not so great: short battery life, hard 2 use at first, doesn't transfer ur songs sometimes

"This Mp3 is great. I got this for christmas and I loved it. But when I tried to install the CD it waz very diificult. After I got it set up it waz a breeze. But one day I transfered my songs 2 da player and when I turned it on it wasn't there and when I tried to fix it all my songs got deleted. those are all da problems but overall it iz a grat MP3 player"

"I GOT IT A COUPLE WEEKS AGO, AND IT WORKS GREAT!! I LOVE THE TOUCH SCREEN, AND THE FACT THAT YOU CAN RECORD SONGS FROM THE RADIO. THE ONLY THING I DON'T LIKE IS THAT IT SCRATCHES EASILY, SO I WOULD RECOMEND A CASE FOR IT. IT'S THE PERFECT MP3. "I got this baby for $149. Great Deal, thats all I can tell you. for this price, it's a no-brainer to go with this over the 4th Generation iPod Nano 8gb. This here is 8gb, has wayyyyy better sound quality, BLUETOOTH!, and the 3" Touch Screen LCD. What does the IPod Nano got?? To get started, you (including any audiophile) will be amazed with the sound on this. It has EQ, DNSe, Bass, Treble, Clarity, and 3D audio enhancement options. Ton's of BASS on this. It will shake your brain literally lol. Bluetooth 2.0 is awesome! You can transfer files between any device that supports bluetooth data trasfer. In other words, you have the ability to transfer files with about every new phone out there (files are muisc, video, txts, and pictures) and vice versa. You also have the ability to transfer between a bluetooth computer. With the bluetooth, you can pair up some AD2P bluetooth stereo headphones and listen to music wirelessly. One more thing with the Bluetooth. You can pair up you phone the same way you would with a wireless headset, and you then can talk of the p2 using the microphones and listening to the other person through the headphones. The 3" LCD will satisfy most users. At some times though, the sceen is buggy (sometimes not responsive). Personally, the iPod Touch's Touch Interface is way better than the p2, but that is my personal opinion. The screen is very crisp and clear. This screen has a higher resolution, in other words it's what give it the sharpness in the picture, usually a good thing. Watching a video or viewing pictures is pleasant. The Emodio software is great. It has all the EQ options from the p2 (DNSe, 3D, etc..) Great if you have a nice set of speakers hooked up to your computer (I do, so I know) The software interface is very clean and almost as good as apple's itunes. Now, there is one minor flaw, the screen of the p2 is cheap plastic. It will scratch and scuff easily if not protected. On a brighter note, the p2 does come with a screen protector as well with a clip and the heaphones (which are pretty decent) but it is better if you upgrade to some nice in-ear buds. Overall, this p2 is awesome, even you have to pay $200, you will still think it was good deal. Hope I helped anyone interested in this product.

What's great about it: Caught My Eye, TouchScreen.
What's not so great: Setting It Up, Too Small, Hard To Use.

"I first saw this product in the Best Buy Ads in the paper. It looked pretty interesting to me. SO I saved up the money and went out and bought it. When I first turned it on, the menu that came up was so foreign to me. It had no instructions on how to change the menu screen, so unfortunatly I had to figure it out myself. Next was installing that rediculous disc that it came with. It slowed my computer down and then, IT DIDNT EVEN DOWNLOAD ALL MY MUSIC! It took forever for it to load, then when I turned it on, only 1/3 of what I downloaded on there actually showed up. After 1 week I dropped it on CARPET, and there was a giant slit through the screen. I ended up trading it with a friend for a new MP3."

"I had an ipod, and I hated the thing. I'm so glad I got this instead. It has a lot more features than an ipod, and it's cheaper. It has great resolution and sound, battery life is great. It is not easily scratched compare to an ipod. The touchpad is very sensitive. The only thing I really hated was trying to activate this thing and learning how to transfer songs (transfering took a bit of time). Also you have to go online to download the manual because it doesn't come with it.
Why I didn't buy another ipod? It's pricey, and it doesn't have enough features to equal the price. It's easily scratched, and the sound is not that great.
So if you have to decided between an ipod and a samsung I recommend you pick the samsung. Don't buy an ipod because everyone else has one. Trust me it is not that great."

What's not so great: Warranty from Samsung is the pits

"Just try to get service on it. They first tell you to plug in to your computer and wait 4 hours. Then they have you call them back and ask all the questions all over again. Then they ask you for the s/n number on the back of unit. The print is so small a knat could not read it without a magnafine glass and read all the numbers to then.But this product does not have a s/n number printed on back.Then they tell you sorry we cannot repair it without a s/n number."

"This music player is one of the best I have had, I have previously owned the Samsung T9 and T10. It has a really nice scren and most of the time the touch interface is really nice, sometimes it does glitch but rarely. Battery life is great, and videos also look nice. The thing i use the most if bluetooth where you can send files from your phone to it and connect to it and use it as a phone. With the new bluewave firmwire updates, it made it greater, adding a calculator, games, and custom themes, that you youself can make with emodio."

What's not so great: Not originally Mac compatible but can be made compatible; could scratch & attract fingerprints easily

"I have owned this player for 1 year now and with the firmware updates, now works better than when I originally bought it. I had a choice between the Ipod touch and this but chosen this b/c i'm not around wifi connection all the time and would prefer having great sound quality, bluetooth, and fm radio with a smaller profile for working out. It also lets you customize the equalizer which ipods do not let you do. I have a Mac computer so I had to go to the yjzone.net forum to learn how to convert my mp3 player into a usb drive type format. This player is not Mac compatible unless you do this. Also make sure to do the firmware updates. Forums dedicated to P2's have all the versions. I put my player under the korean firmware update version to get the additional dictionary, subway map, games, & bluetooth cell phone capabilities. Pros: I love the long battery life on this player as long as you keep the volume level @ reasonable levels, put in power save mode, and don't constantly touch the screen just b/c you feel like it. I have had it last 1 to 1.5 weeks w/o recharge. OLED screen provides amazing quality to watch videos or keep pictures. Very thin and about the size of an ipod nano so it's small and light enough to go jogging with while in your pockets. Con: the touch screen is not accurate/sensitive enough for some of the games since it is not multitouch technology. Could possibly scratch easily since made of plastic but bought invisible shield and never had a scratching problem."

"I decided to buy this mp3 player for it's ability to answer my phone while driving. That worked very well.
I had an insignia player before and this samsung player does the same thing but with more steps and you have to see the screen to know where are you clicking (not good while driving).
It doesn't support radio with a bluetooth headset. It doesn't play many video file types (as compared to the insignia player) and has a unique samsung charger (not easy to share it with other devces, as the universal mini-usb of the insignia player).
I spent $180 upgrading my mp3 player from the insignia to this samsung and I realized that my old insignia player does the same job better (except for the phone answering feature)."

"THIS THING IS TERRIBLE!! it worked for three months and then it kept telling me "dont have proper license" which cant be right because i had just plugged into rhapsody an hour ago. this has happened three times and it takes hours to fix it. and the cox people are stupendously unhelpful. not to mention all the paint on the back has fallen off, and ive had it for THREE MONTHS. this thing is garbage and you get what you pay for. if youre going to spend your hard earned money, buy an ipod, theyre just better. please dont waste your money on this im sorry i did"
