What's great about it: worked for one year
What's not so great: died the very begining of the next
"The unit worked fine for one summer... come the next the trip switch on the Safety Cord Tripped (it was connected to a surge protector which did nothing) and then when I tried to reset the surge bang and then nothing!
Useless getter a better model the saving you make with this one is not worth it!"

What's great about it: all digital
What's not so great: quieter somewhat more than our ge we had
"We had a 5000btu Ge and replaced it with this, since i am a lighter sleeper need one that was quieter. Box says ultra quiet well it is somewhat fan still makes it noise not as loud but i hear it, i just dont hear the compresser kick on now. So I dont consider it Ultra quiet, to me it means i dont hear anything."

What's great about it: Cools quickly and quietly! Timer is great!
What's not so great: the only thing i dont like is that the vents only tilt up... still gets it done though...

What's great about it: NOTHING
What's not so great: EVERYTHING
"This unit is terrible. Don't waste your time or money and this. This is not and air conditioner it is a fan and operates as such.As I write this review the unit has been on for 2 hours and has only cooled the room 3 degrees. I will be returning this first thing in the morning."

What's great about it: remote control, control panel
What's not so great: noisy and not cool enough from 11am to 9pm
"I purchased this a/c for a small bedroom13x 10. It did not
get cold enoughin the day time and it accumulated a lot of water.
The temperture stayed on 77 at all times until 9 pm then it gets my room nice & cold"

What's great about it: nice color and cute control remote
What's not so great: didn't cool anything
"I bought this unit and let it ran for 1 hr. The temparature was 90 F and after the time got 88 F.
I took it back the same day.
Could someone recommend me anyone? My office is 300 sq ft aprox.

What's great about it: quiet

"I purchased this unit on Saturday. The installation was a bit complicated. The directions weren't clear to attach the "curtains". I plugged in, set the tempreture to 75 degrees and closed my bedroom door. My room is about 10 x12. Two hours later, when I went in my room, the tempreture was reading 83 degrees. It's also supposed to shut off when it reaches the desired tempreture. When it finally did reach 75, it just kept going. I've ended up sleeping with the unit running and a very large fan blowing on me. It was actually cooler outside than it was in my room. This is quite possibly, the worst a/c unit I have ever had. Needless to say, it's packed up and sitting in my car waiting for the store to open so it can go back."

What's great about it: Very cold room
What's not so great: Why is my t.v. remote controlling the air conditioner??
"I really do like this product so far but i know i'm going to have problems later.... It cools my room but them only thing that i'm worried about is everytime i cut mt television on and off it changes the mode from fan to cool. and when i cut the volume down on the t.v. it changes the temp.. what's up with that??? but other then that i guess it's ok i got 29 days to decide. Oh and another thing the installation sucks it took me and my boy friend almost 30min to put together."

What's great about it: Installation is pretty simple, controls are understandable
What's not so great: noisy and not cool enough
"I agree with all of you. This unit is way too loud I cannot sleep while it is on. It does not get the room cool enough unless it is running full blast without the the enrgy saver on, because once the compressor stops blowing cold air its hot again in less than 5 minutes."

"I was looking for a 10,000 or 12,000 BTU for my size room a few weeks ago when we were having a heat wave in NY. Everywhere I went was sold out of A/C'S, except for this one at Best Buy. It was my last resort, but I have to say I LOVE IT!! I use this one in my livingroom which is about 250 sq. feet (too large according to the btu guide), and it leaves the room so icy cold that I need a blanket when I am in there. NO LIE!! I will be getting at least 2 more of these for the rest of my home!!!!!"

"Ok, so I bought this AC 4 days ago, and I'll be returning it tomorrow. Basically, don't buy it.
With our room being 180sq feet with fairly low ceilings, I would assume its 250sq-ft rating would be overkill. Not the case at all, the unit has never got the temp down below 76, and it tends to stay between 78-80. For the price, BTU, and manufacturers rating I would expect it to bring this room down to 68 if I wanted.
The suprise! - I got home this afternoon after being out for 3 hours, to find my room temperature at 86. Upon inspection of the unit I noticed the air volume was much less, and much warmer than normal. Pulling the intake filter off I find the cooling radiator completely iced over. I'm not talking a little frost, the ice was easily an inch thick. With just the temperature sensor exposed from the ice, it continued to run the compressor without notice to the fact that it had completely iced itself over. I got to deal with de-icing it and ended up with a nice big puddle on my floor, and the fan was flinging water droplets and chunks of ice around the room.
Get yourself another brand. I won't buy Haier again. I'm gonna try the Frigidaire 8,000 BTU."

What's not so great: Most everything
"I purchased two of these air conditioners. I installed one. Turned it on, and it was so loud. I immediately removed it and reboxed it. I will be returning both units. It's not very well made. Save yourself the trouble. The components seem to be cheap (lightweight plastic parts) I would spend the money on another brand."

What's great about it: ITS NOT HEAVY, ITS LOOKS VERY NICE IN YOUR WINDOW.
What's not so great: EVERYTHING ELSE ABOUT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"I BOUGHT THIS AC PUT IT IN AND NOW IM RETURING IT BACK TO THE STORE. ITS THE WORST AC I EVER BOUGHT IN MY LIFE. ITS BEEN ON FOR A HOUR NOW AND ITS STILL 83 F IN MY ROOM. FIRST OF ALL ONE OF THE FAN FLAPPERS IS BROKEN. THE AIR ISINT COOL AND ITS NOT MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN THE ROOM, IM STILL SWAETING WITH IT ON. SO DONT BUY IT GO FOR THE 8000 BTU.....HOPE THIS HELPED GUYS."
