Pictorial screen is great, directions and features on screen work well.
Cannot be used with the hard wired intercom system and headphones I use with my Harley. No way to hear voice commands from the Rider 2. With my built in headphones in my Nolan helmets, there is no room for the Bluetooth mic and headphone that comes with the Rider 2
It needs a way to connect to a speaker system other than Bluetooth.
the on/off switch is almost unworkable, hard to push. If you have it hard wired to your bike for charging it well start up each time you turn the key on even if you don't want it to. This would be ok if it would also shut down automaticly when key was turned off. User manual almost non existent.
I would probably look at other GPS's next time
What's great about it: Works great as far as it goes
What's not so great: Tomtom home still does not work and answers I get is they are working on it .
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have had this tom for 3 years and have rode all over the country with it and it has been through numerous storms and has been drenched in water often and has not missed a beat.I don't even take it off of my bike at the car wash. it has always worked very well with HOME and updates flawlessly. this unit is currently half the price to the next best thing so why pay more?
What's great about it: everything
What's not so great: nothing

It is a top of the line GPS compare it to tom tom 's best! it allows you to change the icons, change the intensity of the backlight display! connects to all bluetooth devices. connects to most cell phones and allows you to talk while riding. Who would dare to talk on a cell phone while riding? not I but with this device i feel confident! the ear piece is state of the art it is used by others as a headset intercom system. true the device is a bit bulky but keep in mind that it holds a battery that will keep a 3 hr charge plus bluetooth transmitter. put it this way i love my gps so much that i hard wired it to my harley and it is staying on it! I will buy a smaller tom tom gps in the future for my car at a later time. cause this baby was made for my Harley!!!!
What's great about it: solid ram mount, compatible with all bluetooth headsets and blue tooth speaker, map share is a great feauture.
What's not so great: true it does not have a built in speaker but tomtom sells a car mount that has one built into it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

i recently purchased this to put on my vespa scooter. i love it. i did have to work some magic getting it to mount as i can't mount it on my handle bars, so i had to mount it on my mirrors, but it works great. i am not excited about the headset but i can still follow the directions by checking out the arrows and it shows me the name of the next exit i need to take. the battery lasted about 6 hours and that wasn't even off a full charge. short story is i love it and would definitely recommend it. i live in san diego and it's easy to get lost. with this i don't have anything to worry about it. and if i do miss a turn it reroutes me. it's wonderful.
What's great about it: works wonderful on my scooter
What's not so great: disappointed with the headset
I would recommend this to a friend!

Battery cable and RAM mount for the motorcycle come with this GPS. I was able to set up the connection with my cell phone and use it's data connection to get traffic information and the five day weather forecast. I have been able to figure out how to set it up even though the documentation is sparse. Comes with Cardo headset as the sound source, so need to have a open face or full helmet if you want voice directions. Case seems rugged enough and the POI database finds locations quickly and easily with the touch screen. The screen could have been brighter during the day, but is still visible. The power button takes a lot of pressure to turn it on and off and I think I reset the unit a couple of times by holding down the power button too long. Considering the choices out there for a motorcycle GPS, I would rate it between Okay and Recommended.
What's great about it: Battery Life, Blue Tooth, Comes with RAM mount
What's not so great: Power button quirky, Screen could be brighter
I would recommend this to a friend!

No sound without Bluetooth hooked up, so you need the helmet headset, web site made it look like it had speakers built in. Although you pay for it now, Tom Tom home does not work with Rider2 and they will be trying to fix it in the future, maybe in a month was the answer from tech support. Tech support hung up on me twice when I was try to get answers. I wish I bought the Garmin, it was cheaper and had nicer features. hope this helps someone not make the mistakes I did.
What's great about it: none so far
What's not so great: poor support, not fully functional with PC
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
