I love this game. Ever since I popped it in the ps3 I couldnt stop playing. Its fun and very entertaining. If you like a nice shooting game and to blow off some steam, this game is what you need!
What's great about it: The online play is ridiculus crazy
What's not so great: Nothing.

I completely love this game because of the detail, and how it utilizes all of what it advertises perfectly.
What's great about it: Awesome gameplay, high detail maps/models, good gameplay

This is a great game for those that enjoy the series and brings few surprises. That's both good and bad as with the new engine and capabilities of the PS3, I hoped for a few more groundbreaking additions. Nonetheless, I was able to hop right in and play a few single-player missions and enjoy the inprovements in graphics/effects without being derailed by learning the controls or GUI. Online play was seamless and just as much a rush as in the good 'ol days.
What's great about it: Graphics, online play
What's not so great: only small criticisms

If you love Unreal games, this is great fun, but be warned that the online part is the best feature of the game. The single player mode is short, but there are still tons of people online playing so it is worth buying. Graphics are good, not exceptional. Not worth a full price buy, but anything less would be good!

What's not so great: Single player is just ok

i get bored the first time i played it all the levels were the same there where somes i didnt understand and online mode is very difficult to get in contact with a friend and even with people

This game os one of the greatest games that I have ever played. I don't really like the story mode so if you are a fan of the story mode stuff then this game really isn't for you. But if you are a fan of online gaming this game is one for you. You don't have online stats and stuff like that but most of your recognition is from how good you are. Characters are just like gears but it plays like Halo. You will have lots of fun with this game for sure.
What's great about it: Shooting
What's not so great: nothing

when i bought this i was not gald about no thaving two multplayer so my friends can play. the graphics and gameplay are great. but the problem is th ebugss are bothering me, small groups in online so thats means i have to wait when the party is open. couple times before i had to wait about 15 mins for the party to open to play. so i would reccomend it if you have plenty of money.
What's great about it: amazing garphics, great gameplay
What's not so great: no mulitplayer, a lot o fbugs, small groups of online

I didnt think i would say that but i did go and play the game. It actually was not as bad as i though it would be. The multiplayers is still fun just like old uT. The game mode is very fun and super fast you gotta be quick to live. Yet its hard to concentrate with this types of speed i like the game might buy it

This is an awesome game for ps3. Its by the the same company who made Gears of war but its nothing like gears. I have played the oringinal unreal championships for xbox, and wanted to continue the serie. The game stays true to its name and delievers another great game. The online is awesome and you can just play continuously with being bored. Even without online you can still play with the instant action mode which is aslo real fun. All in all this is a great game.
What's great about it: Good graphics, cool weapons, awesome online multiplayer.
What's not so great: NO OFFLINE MULTIPLAYER

This is a great game to have if you own a PS3. Like many other people out there, since COD4 dropped i haven't been able to play any other game until i played Unreal. I tried playing Halo3, but the game play was to slow... In Unreal they keep that fast pass shot, kill, die, respawn thing going. I would have giving it 5 stars but because of the offline multiplayer i had to drop it down one, but i didn't really want to... then again i like giving my honest opinion about games on reviews. If you have a PS3 buy the game and you'll love it. If your tired of playing COD4 like most people are but don't have a game that will compare to it buy Unreal.
What's great about it: Just like playing it on the Pc
What's not so great: No offline multiplayer

It has been a while since I bought a new game. I am glad this brought me back into the gaming world. The physics are good and the weapons are awesome, especially the necris. It's a good time...and it stays true to Unreal.
What's great about it: Fast paced game play, variety of maps and types of play make for fun hunting online.
What's not so great: AI gets predictable after a while...but then again....when doesn't it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I got this game thinking it would be as gritty and obnocious and Gears Of War, it's not. The campaign is short and doesn't have any depth, but thats not what Unreal is, or has ever been, about. The Characters are also a lot more likeable than Gears Of War; You can also customize your own with incredible artistic armor. And even when your done with the campaign and have no internet, theres an instant action mode that never gets old with tons of different options. You can also unlock new characters by playing the story mode, which are also all customizeable. You can turn off the gore, theres only alot when they explode though, if you don't like it. There's tons of guns; I just wish they had a basic assault rifle, but all the others make it okay that they didn't put one in. It is a bit gritty, especially the announcer guy that says "Multi-Kill" and other assortments of killing frenzy-names. But over all this game is deffinatley fun and addictive, addictive in a good way, with great graphics that should keep you hooked for awhile and after that, should keep you still coming back every so often for years to come.
What's great about it: Awesome Graphics and Character Art/Style, Awesome unlockable characters and character customizeation, Great Gameplay
What's not so great: None really, just its a bit fast, but you can put it on slo mo

First off...any of you who are rating this down complaining it's not Gears of War need to get your heads checked. This game was never meant to be like Gears of War. It looks similar because it is made by the same studio and uses the same graphics engine. But ANYONE who has played UT before knows this game is all about the multiplayer competitive experience. Single player acts simply as training. It is meant to be fast and frantic.
This game is fantastic. It is meant to be fast-paced, confusing, and difficult with plenty of respawning and jumping right back into the action. If you can't handle that, don't buy this and don't complain.
What's great about it: Excellent graphics and sound, keyboard input
What's not so great: Slower than its pc counterpart
I would recommend this to a friend!

I actually wanted to rate this game a 4 1/2.
A few reviewers here said they were led to believe the game was supposed to be like Gears of War.
Well, just because it's from the developer who made GoW doesn't mean the game is the same or even similar. In fact, this game does a good job of retaining that classic UT gameplay while updating the look of the game, which I happen to think works great. It's actually about the opposite of Gears of War, and that's not a bad thing (it never promised to be anything similar in the first place).
The game is fast paced and addictive to play online, and it even has the ability to play user created mods and maps, some of which are already available. In essence, this game has unlimited possibilities for the multiplayer fan thanks to this feature.
Yes, the single player in this game is very much an afterthought and not a lot of fun, so if you don't do a lot of online gaming or none at all I can see how this game would really let you down. This is where the game loses a half-point for me, even though single player has never been this franchise's strong point or focus.
But in my opinion you shouldn't even really be bothering with this game if you're not going to take it online -- and in that respect its just about a perfect first-person shooter experience as can be had on PS3. If you get this and Call of Duty 4, you'll be in total FPS heaven.
A must-have game for the PS3 online gamer.

This is a good game everything is familiar from the previous games. I was disappointed with the campaign mode. It makes you feel like your playing online with a few cut scenes in it. This game could have been truely a great game all around. Needed a better campaign mode like gears of war but all around an ok game.

I love Gears of War and so I bought this game for my PS3. This game has the same graphics, but the video imaging while playing is too fast. The character moves too quickly. My eyes hurt and I couldn't continue to play the game. Be careful!

This game has the potential to be as good if not betterthan gears of war. If you really like online gaming and first person shooters this will be agod send for you. the game is pretty good but I do not like the campaign mode its like playing online with no choice of which game type to choose from. I personaly feel that even if they would have given you theo ption to change your view to third person it would havemade the game alot better but thats just because I prefer third person view. I gave this game a 3 because of the campaign mode, I mean come on if you are going to advertise campaign mode on a game hello make the effort to let the player play through reall storyline gameplay not refurbished online play with really good AI. I was very disapointed with this game, only because of the true potential it has. I will still play it but man thisgame had the potential to be gears of war for the ps3 and it was wasted. All in all for what it is it is an awsome online game

i had a 360 and had gears of war..when i saw that there was a game for ps3 that was like it i went out and bought it....big mistake. game is so bad, dont buy it unless ur a fan of the previous ones. if oyu own a ps3 and are interested in getting this game because it looks like gears of war, dont get it....it isnt anything like it at all.

This is a good fast-paced FPS game. If you like games like Halo or Resistance, youi will like this. And what now Xbox 360, its not on your system. Only Ps3 and PC.
