What's great about it: Good Graphics, Interesting locations. You might learn something.
What's not so great: You are not doing much in this game.
This game is not likely to satisfy anyone who loves to fish, but I'm not sure what could be done to improve it. Since finding the fish is fairly simple, and for the most part they'll bite at whatever you dangle in front of them, the game mostly consists of reeling them in without breaking the line.
You might say, that's similar to real fishing but the difference is feed back. Your indication in this game consists of an announcer screaming "Move your rod left" or the shaker going off on the wiimote. There is a thermometer bar showing line tension, but you will quickly find that very little you do affects it short of not reeling at all.
All in all, it felt like watching someone fish. Not recommended.

What's great about it: Just like fishing
What's not so great: none
This game was first released on the Dreamcast system and I was excited to find out that it was now going to be coming out on the Wii. This game is by far the best fishing game I have ever played, but if you don't like to fish then this game is not for you.

What's great about it: Good Trade in Value
What's not so great: everything else
this game was boring... i played it for about an hour... i had the fishing real attachment and everything, i was excited to play... then i found out this is EXACTLY like fishing... maybe fishing with a pre-school fishing rod... big fish are hard to come by and when they do, ur line snaps... it did have great trade in value which was about 20$ :)

What's great about it: Pulling in 100lb fish/tournament fishing was great
What's not so great: Line breaks a lot/fish are hard to pull in
This is a great game for the avid fisherman. My husband and boys play it for hours. Everytime they pull in a "big one" they get excited. The game is not fast paced, but it really makes you feel like your fishing, but in the comfort of your living room.
