What's great about it: It Runs well
What's not so great: Horrible windows system on it

"We've had problems with the windows program along with a few issue with being slow but otherwise it is a great computer for the price."

Great computer for the low price. 04/20/2008

What's great about it: Great price, Lightscribe, lots of usb ports, good connectivity
What's not so great: Graphics drivers

"I love the computer. It's quiet, I can hook up all my usb devices, convenient headphone and microphone jack on front of tower, Lightscribe technology and all for a great price. My big problem with it though is the graphics drivers. Every so often the screen will go black for a couple seconds and I get a message saying the driver has stopped responding but has recovered. I have looked everywhere online for a fix and only found a lot of the same complaints from other customers. This is especially frustrating while playing games but I'm sure they will have a fix for it shortly since they already know about it. Just a minor drawback though. Overall I am very satisfied with this purchase, and have already recommended it to a couple friends."

What's great about it: Good Price
What's not so great: Driver

"I brought this computer two weeks ago and had no problems yet just telling me recovering which is good. I like the LightScribe. Own a Compaq before and like it so I thought I would buy another Compaq since I had no problem with my other one. Good price for this computer. Window Vista is not too bad."

What's great about it: lightscribe dvd burner
What's not so great: drivers

"this has been a good computer for doing disc with the lightscribe burner....windows vista has many issues and the driver on this model shuts you off many times a day for up to several minutes....the screen goes blank the driver always says it has recovered from serious issues to my knowledge at this time there is no fix for the problem but they know about it....you are able to add more memory which i have done..i upgraded to this from a emachines with windows xp..i also bought a 22 lcd monitor to go with this...vista is my biggest complaint...has way to many problems with no fixes"

Good for the money 02/20/2008

What's great about it: Inexpensive, does what its supposed to do
What's not so great: occaisionally freezes, bulky

"I purchased this tower since I killed my last one and Im fairly pleased with it. It has some nice features with Vista and is quick running. I just have a problem with the system freezing occaisionally, but it lets me know that the system has recovered which is good and Im not wondering what the heck happened. Overall- Good value for the money."

What's great about it: good pc for the money
What's not so great: windows vista and graphics card

"ive had this product for about a week now runs great but it needs more ram to run vista because vista is such a huge program.. i do alot of photo editing in photoshop cs-3 and i want to upgrade the video card. does anyone have any suggestions..."

What's great about it: Works just fine for home applications and gaming.
What's not so great: Vista stinks, XP is still a better OS.

"This is an overall great deal. A dual-core for under $400. I would recomend upgrading to 2 gigs of memory for Vista. The other reviewer who said he had "error-beeps" sounds like he had the classic Vista crash, which now seems to be fixed with the latest patches."

It was a DUD 01/12/2008

What's great about it: none
What's not so great: Didn't work after 2 weeks - Support was in India

"I bought this computer and was very excited. After 2 weeks it would not work, I would receive error beeps. I unplugged in overnight and it worked again for a couple of days. Then I received the error beeps again and it would not work.
I called the support 800# and received someone that I could barely understand. The problem was he could not understand me! He kept repeating the same question over and over. I was frustrated that the only thing we accomplished was disconnecting all the cables over and over. I finally hung up on him and returned the computer for a refund."
