What's not so great: will break easily if you step on it
"I bought this for my Asus EEE 1000heb and it made my quick little netbook a super fast little netbook. I recommend buying these for each and every computer you own. Be wary of how much ram each memory slot can take though."

"I purchased this product because running World of Warcraft with 256 MB of RAM is absolute H-E-double hockey stick (sorry, it says it won't post my review if I leave any inappropriate language). I was pretty excited that I would be able to finally get a decent frame rate, until it happened... I got home and found my RAM on my front porch, I excitedly opened it, I tried to put it in my Dell laptop, but something was wrong. It wouldn't fit in the slot very well. I pulled my computer close to see what the problem was. I saw a sticker that said "DDR1 ONLY"...but I bought a DDR2... There are two morals to this story: Always open your computer and check for a sticker telling you what DDR your computer is compatible with, but most importantly, NEVER BUY A DELL COMPUTER! Not to get off topic, but I have never had a Dell product work the way it was intended to. Shortly after returning my RAM, I decided I should do the honorable thing and write a review warning people not to make the same mistake as me."

What's great about it: Great Performance RAM compared to other RAMs
What's not so great: None
"I recently purchase this 5300 DDR Ram to upgrade my New HP Mini 1030 model from 1 GB to 2GB. Prior to this RAM from Best Buy, i bought a 2 gb memory from Frys which was cheap $20.00. I though RAM is RAM, apperantly is not. It depends who made it and getting the right brand can make difference on your PC Desktop or Laptop performance. I compared difference using test ram software that indicates speed and performance of ram. The outcomes after installing this Kingston i notice little difference on the task, cache mememory, applications etc seem to bit quicker. My final word is this a RAM to get. Dont settle for cheap or immitation brand,"

"My fiance's computer was getting very slow. We thought about buying her a new one but thought we would try this first since it is a fraction of the cost of a new computer. That was a smart choice because her computer is working like new now. It got a lot faster and it doesn't freeze up anymore. A great buy!!"

What's great about it: A big improvement over my previous 2 gigs.
What's not so great: Regular price is pricey - get it on sale.
"Works excellently ! I added this to my HP dv6768se and it is a great improvement over my previous 2 gigs. Total memory is now 3 gigs. Net surfing and working with videos and pictures is much improved. A definite recommend."

What's great about it: one of the best brands, if not the best
What's not so great: retail price is 3 times too high, wait for sale
"the 2gb size laptop kingston memory is new for best buy. although its only available online now. im hoping they will put it on sale for $60-$70 like you can get it for online from various sites, including kingston's own site.
upgrading memory will make a huge difference in laptop performance, especially as the initial memory you get is typically very low, like 1gb or even 516kb. ive spent days googling for review comparisons of different memory brands and havent found anything concreate. ive decided to go with kingston as they are apparently the biggest and have a very good website. id recomend reading their "ultimate memory guide" at: "http://www.kingston.com/tools/UMG/default.asp". they claim there are quality differences in memory brands, such as thickness of plastic used and other items that would be difficult or impossible for the consumer to actually determine looking at the package or specs.
as of this writing next week the 2gb PNY will be on sale for about $65 and the 1gb kingston for $33 from best buy (2/10/08 sunday sale ad). i imagine the PNY brand would be OK but i'm paraniod so ill probably just buy 2 1gb kingstons till best buy puts the 2gb kingston on sale, then ill buy two 2gb kinstons (total of 4gb) for my new sony vgn-nr180 vaio if the sale price is low enough."
