What's great about it: nothing I could fathom
What's not so great: should work better for this price
These pads did almost nothing. To be fair, our front-load washing machine is in a laundry room above the basement. A linoleum-covered plywood floor is NOT the best location for a fast-spinning front-load washing machine. It needs a solid floor like a concrete slab. Our machine vibrates the whole house like we live under the Coney Island Roller Coaster. We didn't mind it much until we inherited the family crystal and china. Now the antiques in the china cabinet vibrate so badly that I'm afraid one day they will either vibrate off the shelf or rattle against each other until they chip or shatter.
Before purchasing these antivibration pads I read the one five-star review. I had high hopes they would solve our problem. I told the sales people I would either make it two good reviews or I'd be the opposing voice. Unfortunately, I have to choose the ladder. These blocks did reduce the house shaking, but not by much. I will either have to extensively reinforce the subfloor; move the laundry machines from the convenient first-floor laundry room to the concrete slab in the basement; or buy a new washing machine. (From what I've read, top loading H.E. machines vibrate very little compared to front loaders). Unless your floor is very solid to start with, I'd pass on these.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What's great about it: Really cuts down on vibration.
What's not so great: A little expensive
Just had our front load washer delivered today. On high spin, I had to walk right infront of the machine to make sure it was spinning. These pads do just what they say they do.
I would recommend this to a friend!
