What's great about it: It's fast, easy to set up and it's reliable
What's not so great: it's a little on the pricey side.. but it's linksys - you get what you pay for!
"This is a great product.. I bought 2 of them (desktop, laptop) and linked them with a Linksys WRT400N Simultaneous Dual-N Band Wireless Router.
I know alot about computers and networking.. and I tell you, all I did was plug it in. That's it. I didn't have any problems with setting up the network or keeping a signal.
If you do step by step like the instructions say, I can't see having a problem."

What's not so great: Drops signal often, limited troubleshooting options
"I've had this adaptor for over a year now and have had a very frustrating experiance. My desktop using the USB adaptor has the worst network performance of three devices I use to connect to my wireless router. Performance varies greatly and several times a week my signal will drop completely requireing a reset of the adaptor, and several times a complete reinstall. I've changed multiple router settings trying in vain to improve the stability of this connection. I use Vista 64 with up to date drivers and my laptop does not have similar performance/connectivity issues so I have to blame this product."

What's great about it: It looks nice
What's not so great: it doesn't work any better/or worse than a cheap adapter.
"Don't make the same mistake I did, and buy this adapter. It puts out a signal worse than my cheap Belkin adapter I got at Wal-mart for $35. I bought it thinking it was the most expensive, so it must perform the best, but I couldn't have been any further from the truth. I was very dissappointed and I hope they discontinue this item. The item was easy to install, however if you are looking for performance and long range, keep looking!"

What's not so great: No driver works with Windows 7 & --64-bit
"Linksys was removed this item (it's driver) from it's web site to work with Windows 7-64bit. MS Windows Windows 7 site said it is OK. DO NOT BUY if will not work with 64-bit system with Windows 7. The Vista 64-bit driver will not work also. Very low- poor signal levels on wireless N bands. Check Linksys.com forums--pages of troubles with Windows 7 & 64-bit and WUSB600N . Returning to Best Buy for refund."

What's great about it: Connects OK, easy to set up in Vista
What's not so great: No better than built-in adapter; pricey
"I had to buy a replacement to my Belkin wireless N USB adapter because it kept dropping signal after overheating. I bought this comparable Linksys adapter figuring it would be better.
I've only had it two days, so I don't know if it will overheat, but there are noticable differences. First, it's no better at picking up wireless signals than my laptop's built-in adapter. The Belkin was FAR better at detecting wireless networks. Second, the signal strength of my preferred wireless network is no better than my built-in adapter. Again, the Belkin was much better at this. Finally, the Linksys has a much slower data rate than the Belkin, again, no better than my built-in adapter.
For the high price of this product ($85), I expected much better results than my laptop's adapter."

Ver 2 works with Win 7 with Vista drivers

What's great about it: Fast downloads
What's not so great: It's tiny. Signal strength varies at times.
"I was able to get mine to work under Win 7. Make sure you purchase version 2 of this device. The one pictured here looks like version 1 which is unsupported under Win 7. Version 2 did have Win 7 drivers posted briefly but for some reason were removed off the Linksys website. I was able to activate my device by using the Vista 64 bit drivers for my Win 7 64 bit OS. I did this based off the Linksys forum. I am using this together with the WRT610N router. Downloads are fast and consistent but for some reason my signal strength varies but doesn't affect my downloads. If I put the device horizontal rather than vertical, the signal strength improves. I bought this device to replace my old Linksys SRX devices since they were incompatible with Win7."

What's great about it: It's pretty to look at.
What's not so great: Everything
"Spent the better part of this evening trying to make this piece of junk work. The included driver disk would not install in Windows 7. I checked online at the Linksys forum and found many, many others with the same experience. Some lucky souls were able to get it to work, but I finally gave up. I previously had a D-Link and it installed and worked with absolutely no problems. There are no Windows 7 drivers currently available on the Linksys site, there were some previously, but have been removed. The Linksys staff acknowledge there is a problem with this adapter and drivers for Windows 7. I have owned Linksys products in the past, but never again after this frustrating experience. A word to the wise: Stay away from this adapter unless you are a glutton for punishment."

What's great about it: it looks cool
What's not so great: Networking performance is bad, even when in the same room, terrible driver support, no windows 7 drivers (that work)
"Bought to run our media center that is one room away from the router. Went to linksys's site to pick up the drivers for win7 x64 ultimate. I thought they might be a bit off considering they were released in july and it's now November. The driver files themselves came as encrypted files which was fun enough to figure out, but then when they did install no networks would show. I went to the wireless chipset manufacturer's site (raylink) and got their drivers and finally was able to get it semi functional except that whenever the computer goes to sleep the adapter disapears and you have to remove and put it back in. Bad news till Linksys actually spends time developing drivers for an OS that's been out for 2 months."

What's great about it: Easy to Install
What's not so great: Doesn't stay connected
"Everytime my computer went into sleep mode and I woke it up, the adapter would no longer work. I would have to unplug the USB cable and plug it back in. After that it would work until the next time it went into sleep mode. Talked to customer 'service' (I could barely understand and they were clueless) for over 2 hours and they couldn't figure it out even though I saw the same issue in the forums on their website. The straw that broke the back was when they couldn't figure it out they wanted to connect me to someone that I would have to pay to help try and figure out why their product was not working! I will never by a Linksys product again."

What's great about it: Great signal, Super easy to set up
What's not so great: price
"I bought this product at the same time I purchased a new desktop pc. I bought it to use with my Linksys Wireless-N router and it works great. I have my wireless router on the second floor of my home and my desktop is on the first floor, the signal strength has been excellent from the second i plugged it in.
Set up was so easy. Literally, just put in the cd, and then plug in the router and you're up and running.
The only reason I listed price as something 'not so great' was that you can buy the Linksys wireless card to install into your cpu for about $30 less. But on the positive side, you can use this device with any computer.
I'd buy it again in a heart beat."

What's great about it: Easy to setup, small
What's not so great: Weak signal receiver, not good for streaming video and had to manually link to network everytime I started computer
"Very disappointed in this product. It would tell me my wireless signal strength is poor when two laptops nearby would say the strength was excellent. The result was that web pages were slow to load and streaming video would stutter. I also had to tell it to find my network every time I started the computer which was highly frustrating. The only pluses are that it is small and was easy to install. In the end I paid twice as much for an internal wireless card and all the issues I had with this adaptor are now resolved. Pay more now rather than later."

What's great about it: Install went smoothly
What's not so great: I used to have a computer that worked and now I don't
"I installed the software using the CD and everything went surprisingly well... When I went to launch Firefox it took a second and then a box showed up saying that Firefox had crashed (I've been using this computer for a long time and this has never happened). I then tried launching Internet Explorer and that worked fine for about 10 seconds and then my screen went black and my power button (which is usually green) turned red. I now can't turn my computer on and am totally out of luck. I had read some reviews before that warned of this happening but there were so many positive reviews as well that I thought, what the heck I'll give it a shot, BIG MISTAKE..."

What's great about it: Fast when it works...
What's not so great: the are way too fragil for normal every day notebook computer use.
"I purchased this product as an upgrade to the built in original wireless G on my sony vaio notebook computer. This is the second one I have had (the first one was returned because the wire it came with broke in a little over a week). The second one's wire ALSO broke but rather than bring it back in for a full refund (like I should have) I went ahead and plugged the bulky thing into my already crowded USB slots. It was difficult to get that to work in conjunction with the wireless mouse dongle as well as the keyboard USB (I use my notebook computer to watch movies and such on my hdtv as a replacement for my cable). I moved my notebook computer ONCE since I had to put this product directly into my computer and now it no longer functions. I will see what Best buy can do for me but I fear I may be stuck with having to send this unit back to the company for repairs - I am NOT happy with it at all though and I most certainly would not recommend this product to anyone who intends to attach this device to any sort of mobile computer."

What's great about it: Its nice looking..
What's not so great: It drops my connection randomly
"I would stay away from this product... Mine drops connections randomly.. Have tried with 3 seperate wireless routers and the same thing happens..
I use this in a very high end custom built water/pelitier cooled desktop pc...
Tried every USB port, new installation of Vista X64 and the same issues occur...
Going to the store later to buy a different one because I hate losing my connections."
