What's great about it: Wide-screen, long battery life, and good picture quality

"I think this is one of the best personal videos I ever purchased. I love having the extra battery life without having to purchase an external battery, which I found the external battery to be heavy and cumbersome. However, I miss having a remote control, which is the reason I can't give this product 5 stars."

What's great about it: Long battery life, easy to use, great sound and two people can watch a movie at the same time
What's not so great: No remote.

"This is a great product for those going on long boring plane rides where the movies they are showing are not all that great. It really easy to use and the battery as last for over 10 hrs for me. It also works great with HDTV and the sound is out of this world. When I was looking at all the portable DVD players, this was the only one that had really good quality sound. The only down fall is that it doesn't come with a remote. Over all great product and highly recommend."

What's great about it: easy to use
What's not so great: no remote, and the battery does not last 13 hrs. looks like 4-5 hrs

"The reason I bought it was because of the 13 hr batter. I thought it as charged up fully but so far I only get about 4 hrs on it. Not that a remote is needed but would be an added plus. Picture is decent for an 8.5. sound without headphones are good. sound with headphones is awsome. One thing I do like about it is that it reads dvd quickly and starts where you left off even after a couple of days."

What's great about it: good quality
What's not so great: low resolution screen, no remote

"wanted to like this machine but when I got it home I found out there was no remote. Worse was when I relized that this screen was only half the resolution of a sony and about 19 bucks more. This screen is only a 400x260 the sony is like 800x480. Why pay this much for a low quality picture?"

What's great about it: What you would expect from a Panasonic
What's not so great: Haven't found one yet

"While there are larger screens available, the battery life is better than all others that I saw. The larger screens takes more battery. So if the battery runs out during a movie, who cares how large the screen is!
The quality is as good as it gets with a portable. Clear picture and sound, even on the small speakers. Headsets are even better."

Best Purchase Ever 07/21/2008

What's great about it: Pictures are crystal clear and the sound is extremely wonderful.
What's not so great: You have to be very gentle when opening up the screen, it seems like its going to break.

What's great about it: No. 1 for sure is the power length of the battery. However, I really haven't found anything that displeases me so far.

What's great about it: Light weight, no skip, great sound, good battery

"We purchased this DVD player 6 months ago, for the car and we have used it every day since. Worth every penny paid. The battery is good (last 10-12 hours per charge) It hasnt skipped yet, and the picture is great. The sound quality is good too. I would highly recommend this to a friend. Very pleased!!"

What's great about it: over 13 hours of play
What's not so great: buy a dvd player with a battery charger included

"We bought this DVD player for our airplane trip to Florida. I thought it would entertain the 3 year old but we ended up stranded in the airport for over two hours and the teenagers ended up watching their movie. This player did not come with a battery charger, we bought one separate. Good thing we did! Also get a swivel base DVD player for multiple viewing; less complaining that each child cannot see the screen."

What's great about it: Silent, No heat , no skip , good picture & etc.

"I bought Panasonic DVDls86 for replacement. Wow! it can solve all my old problem from other brand. First day I owned I play it with every type of CD and DVD I have more than 12 hours(no battery). It works very well no problem at all. Quick start ,smooth play,no noisy, no skip, no heat, good picture and heavy duty. Loved it... and I think you must love it too."

Buy this one 04/21/2008

What's great about it: Sound is great, Easy to use
What's not so great: Wish screen was bigger

"When we first purchased this a few weeks ago it acted a little quirky at first. Maybe just needed to get going. Anyway, my 5 year old used it for about 2 weeks and it worked great. Don't know if the battery actually last 12 hours cause we kept it plugged in in the car. It did have great sound I think from what I have seen in these things. Friday night I forgot to go back out and lock the car after the hubby unlaoded grocery's and some punk stole it that night. So back to Bestbuy I went and the salesman sold me on the Toshiba cause it was a little cheaper and the screen was bigger and he said they had a great reputation. The sound on it is horrible. The kids couldn't hear it going down the road on max volume WITH headphones. So I am taking it back and buying this one again."

Nice DVD Player 04/20/2008

What's great about it: Long Battery Life, Easy to use, no remote
What's not so great: Getting a DVD out of the unit is a little bit of a struggle.

"Recently flew to Las Vegas and wanted a player with a longer battery life. The day before I left for Vegas, I purchased a Sony unit. Brought that one home and it didn't work. The morning of my flight, I returned the Sony and exchanged it for this Panasonic unit. Because of the long battery life, I would have likely purchased the Panasonic first if I had noticed it. The player works great. The first review about no video out appears to be incorrect, but I have not used that feature. I have had some cheaper noise cancelling headphone and earphones, but I wasn't happy with them, so for the trip back home, I picked up a set of expensive Bose Quiet Comfort 2 headphones. Everything worked great. No problem hearing and the battery didn't run down before the movie ended. I don't think the remote is necessary on an airplane and is just something extra to have to fuss with and maybe lose."

Just a few weaknesses 03/28/2008

What's great about it: Battery Life, design, easy to use buttons
What's not so great: Screen resolution should be higher, no video out, no remote

"I was quite happy with this unit and would be totally satisfied if it had only a couple more features. The design is great, battery life is best of class, really easy to use buttons, the video in works really well with other video sources which would be a joy to use with cameras to shoot with a tripod and enjoy a large portable monitor. The screen resolution easily switches between 4:3 and 16:9 which allows monitoring the picture in proper aspect. I am only disappointed in three areas: no video out is a major oversight, it really does need a higher resolution screen (but maybe this would eat more battery life), and no remote."
