What's great about it: Simple to use, MP3 input What's not so great: $$$ installation for my model car
"I was totally satisfied with my experience at Best Buy from the moment I walked in.
The greeter directed me to car audio, where after a short wait and quick phone call I had purchased the stereo and set up an appt for installation. Both the on sale stereo and installation kit were in stock.
The installation crew was friendly, polite, and knowledgable and started the paperwork as soon as I arrived.
The finished appearance of the radio (with the exception of the face plate) is nearly identical to the original which surprized me because it had to include openings and hot stamps for the ac/fan/heater control knobs.
The installation was completed in one hour.
Highest marks to the team at the Mesa Superstition Best Buy."

Good Sterio
11/13/2008
By Ilkaefrom Willmington, DE
What's great about it: Easy to set up, very good price What's not so great: Haven't found anything yet
"Someone had stolen the sterio to my car, and I needed to replace it. I went online to look for a new and inexpensive Pioneer. I really like this sterio better than my other one, and the volume goes up really LOUD!"

great product

What's great about it: I installed this in a boat and it handles waves without the cd skipping. What's not so great: it will drain your battery if not installed correctly.
"The only mistake I made was not correctly installing the power wires so it drained the battery in just over a week. I have since install an accesory switch and solved the problem. Great stereo for the money."

What's great about it: Sound and CD Player What's not so great: Setting Clock
"I got this to replace my OEM stereo in my Nissan truck. I installed it myself without a problem (I bought the adapter plug from best buy, and it is labeled so it was easy to figure out how to connect the wires). The unit fit into the slot left by the old stereo perfectly. The sound is fine and the CD player works smoothly. It doesn't take too long to figure out the features. This is a good basic head unit. I have no complaints. To access the clock, after the unit is turned off, you've got to press and hold the source button to access the clock."

What's great about it: Sound Quality, Ease of Use, Easy Installation What's not so great: Instructions for clock are wrong!
"Wow, I just replaced a rather high end JVC player (which I loved) with this Stereo. If you want a well made, yet simple and GREAT sounding head unit, buy this one! I just didn't want to spend a fortune right now and I got WAY more than I paid for! Just to be clear, mine is backed up by a 900 Watt Lightning Audio Amp and a Bazooka, (which were hooked up to my previous JVC) but the difference in sound quality from my other deck is really quite impressive. The separate Bass, Mid range, and Treble settings make for a lot of choices and really bring out all the frequency ranges. Yes, it's Pioneers low end unit, but I researched and played with a LOT of different decks including other Pioneers, Sonys, Kenwoods and Alpines (my second choice) and am glad I decided on this one. Oh, and the speakers in my '97 Ford F350 Dually are STOCK! One last thing, it's nice looking too!
Oh, as for the clock? Just push the Volume knob for a few seconds and then use the right and left buttons to adjust the time :)"

What's great about it: Great price, great quality, great look What's not so great: The clock
"To start, the player is phenomenal. Considering it's roughly $100 dollars it looks great. The clock was indeed hard to figure out but you have to push the big button to the left and hold it in. I was a bit upset when I had to purchase the adapter set to get it to fit into my car. I was expecting to have to do it, but the price of it was outrageous. The player has a convenient axillary input right on the face for an iPod or other media player. It is one of the few on this site that is actually green lighting and it is the best for it's money for sure!"

What's great about it: Has Everything I Need What's not so great: The Clock
"it took me awhile to figure out how to set the clock but i finally got it. You have to push the dial for the volume in for a couple of seconds. They dont explain it in the manual that well so i got confused. other than that this is a great buy and im glad i got it"

What's great about it: The style, looks and performance What's not so great: it only fits- if it fits
"I purchased this product because of its name, Pioneer it has been a household name in my family for many , many years. My first experience with Pioneer- was a AM/FM Super Tuner 8 track W/ 6X9 Jensen coaxial speakers. Best for its time. Now Pioneer has good speakers with the stero as well. Good for the price and pocketbook. It sounds pretty good in transit to. Good job again Pioneer!!!"

What's great about it: Simple buttons, No extra bells and whistles What's not so great: Clock setting
"I bought this deck as a gift for my sister because she is not very tech savvy. It turned out to be a great purchase because of its simplicity. My only complaint was that the instructions for setting the clock were incorrect, however, a Google search solved the problem. While this deck won't give you a competition style audio system, it will satisfy most."

What's great about it: inexpensive, very clear sound What's not so great: can not set clock, and station memory sucks
"i just purchased that unit. got it installed, fits nicely in my Mercedes Benz. it's very basic, nothing fancy. i think there is a defect with the clock, can not be reset, that is the only problem, but aside of that, sound quality is good. if you only want to play cd and radio and don't care for satelite and HD and so on, then it's a good deal, and another issue is the memory, you can't set it to store your favorite stations. if you want to make your dashboard look good, then go with the kenwood for $109.00, but if you are looking for better sound, then this is it"

Basic Stereo Great Sound/price
04/20/2008
By Dano16from PA
What's great about it: Price Great Sound 22 watts RMS/Front input for MP 3/I pod What's not so great: Controls not intuitive, small buttons/clock is hard to set
"Very good basic Stereo If the controls were more intuitive and the buttons were bigger this would be a great stereo as with the equalizer the sound is outstanding. If you are looking for a basic stereo without all the bells and whistles then this is it. You may ask at this price how good can it be. The answer is simple it sounds great. No bells No whistles, this basic stereo will do what most people are looking for, it plays CDS, has an input jack for a music player and you can connect satellite radio to it. If you check the RMS wattage of this unit it has the same or better then most others of this price range.
PS I went to the Best Buy in Springfield PA and had the stereo installed by the squad. They were not only fast but the work looks great and the radio looks like its been in the car since day one. These guys did a great job!!"
