"Another fantastic addition to the GTA line. Physics of the game are incredible. Game detail is superb. The city in the night time is amazing with the lighting and shadows. Story line absorbs you in making you feel as if times you are watching a movie. One of the best games I have ever experienced."

"This game was predicted to be one of the greatest sellers for the XBOX 360 and it has been. The game is awesome like any other GTA but better. The controls are easy and the best part is that your are free, free to do anything you want in Liberty City. The story mode lasts for hours and is accompanied by thousands of side missions you can accomplish for cash and strengthen you relationship with others whether it is a fellow gangster or a woman. In addition to the game you get in the box the other accessories. My fav. is the safety deposit box which looks sweet!!!!"

"this games should be in your collection no matter who you are. The only reason not to own it is being under the age of 17. Great game play for a third person shooter, takes a note from Gears of War with the cover fire system which works will here. It's super long will weeks to do all that can be done. Buy it now"

What's great about it: The details visually are amazing and game play is fun What's not so great: There isnt as many fun things to do like in the previous games
"The special edition is nice especially if you got the price cut then you got the lockbox and bag plus the CD. The game is also amazing with awesome visual graphics that improved drasticly from the previous games. Also the story line is good and fun to play. Also another great new feature is the autosave which makes it easier to play. One down fall of the game is the lack of area to explore and how there arent as much of a variety of vehicles, such as airplanes etc. Some find this better since its less room that you have to travel but thats their opinion. Overall its an amazing game that i would recommend."

"This is a great game! It has the best online gameplay of all of the xbox 360 games. You can do anything (basically) and turn your character from a new immigrant to America, to the highest roller in the US.
It is the best of all the Grand Theft Autos, and I HIGHLY recommend this to ANYONE that owns an xbox 360!"

What's great about it: Graphics, game play, story, the addition of Multi-player online, I’ll just say it’s the game. What's not so great: I’m only putting something down because I feel I should. The Con would be control of the car, not really that bad though
"The Additions of the “Special Edition” are not that great. I mean you get a duffle bag. Okay, it’s decent size. You also get a lockbox, which comes with a key on a Rockstar keychain. You get an art book, kind of neat, but nothing to write home about. Then lastly you get a sound track from the game. Sounds great huh… well its only 16 songs. They are good songs, but a sound track from a game that has a lot of music on it is not much. You get all of this for (as of the games release at least) $30.00 more! I like what’s in the game, but really these extras should not cost $30.00 more.
Grand Theft Auto IV is really one of the best games in a very long time. It has extremely good graphics that make things very real. Of course on a game this big there are going to be a few clipping problems, but nothing that really detracts from the feel of the game. The game play and storyline are great. You can obviously beat the main game in under 30 hours (It’s one of the achievements), but there are so many more side missions to do that it really can keep you playing for well, days, hours at a time… years hopefully, but probably not. The sound track to this game is immense; as you are driving there is about 9 different radio stations with 24 min of music/talking on each one. There is a lot, and I mean a lot of swearing in this game so I advise not playing this in front of the younger people, or buying it for them. The driving in the game is although a little loose and easy to go out of control, once you get the hang of it and start driving nicer cars then you really don’t have to worry much about it. Airplanes are gone (thank goodness) but you can still fly helicopters. You can play Darts, pool, bowling, go to a cabaret club, and even a comedy club. At the beach you can take a look through one of those magnify things that you see on piers all the time. For vigilante mode you actually access the police computer from the car and find the whereabouts of the crook. There are car races and getting the specific types of cars for people. Also, as always the hidden packages (which I think are pigeons in this game) and stunt jump spots. A nice new addition to this game is that it is a little more modern. You get a cell phone that you can setup having a drink with your friends or inviting your girlfriend to play a game of bowling. Also, you can go online at the Internet café and browse the “internet” (it’s all built into the game, but there is a huge amount of different websites to visit) or check your e-mail. As you can see there is a lot of fun to be had with this game even if you don’t follow through the storyline, or want to deviate at all. There is also a great online multiplayer mode that you can do a lot of the same with the free roam, also, death match style things. Unfortunately I can’t say much about the online yet because I have not played it too much, but what I have seen is a lot of fun. I say if you enjoy any of the GTA games, or any of the other sandbox style game series then you will love this one. Try it out!"

"The game of course is great and follows in line with the typical Grand Theft Auto gameplay. There are many new features in the game and the graphics are great.
The special edition extras are a nice touch with a duffle bag, CD, keychain, and a lockbox (safe). They are not cheap little items and are actually a pretty nice addition to the game.
Like all Grand Theft Auto games the language, violence, etc.. is definetly not for anyone, however, if you enjoy this type of gaming it is great and will keep you entertained for many, many hours."

"Since this is the Special Edition of the game, you get a lot of great extra gear that you can't find anywhere else. In addition to the GTAIV (check out the other reviews if you want to know how good it is), you also get a black safe deposit box with two keys. Surprisingly, it's actually high quality with the game logo stamped into the metal of the box. There is a well made duffel bag to carry the case, a game poster and map of the city, as well as a quality rockstar keychain. Again, none of these items are poorly made and you'll feel like you got your money's worth. My personal favorite item is the game sountrack which contains music from the radio stations. All this for only $20 more? How they are making money on this... I'll never know."

"GTA IV, the critics have said, perhaps represents the greatest triumph in the gaming industry this decade. The words "living, breathing city" have been used to describe Rockstar's updated rendering of Liberty City. And other descriptions of great praise have been exhausted in talking about the game. They're all valid, worthy points. This is a monumental achievement, mostly because it manages to exceed all the ridiculously lofty expectations that preceded the game's ballyhooed release. Rockstar has crafted the richest and most compelling title in the series, with rounded characters, sharp wit, great aesthetic strides, and tremendous storytelling. It doesn't hurt that a lot of the gameplay issues of the past have been greatly remedied, and that the multiplayer suite is fresh and deep as well. The special edition comes with some nice pack-ins and, if you've got the extra $30, might just be worth it."

What's great about it: Freedom to do what you want, driving around is just plain awesome What's not so great: open ended gameplay may leave some desiring more structure
"This game, the latest in the ever expanding GTA library, is by far the best yet. I remember when the series was only a top-down 2 dimensional game. Now it's evolved into a world that feels real, where bystanders will interact with each other and ignore you (at least until you start assaulting them, if you want to play like a psychopath). Those familiar with New York will appreciate the detail and humor the creators put into their spin on the Big Apple, the rest of us will enjoy the rich world ready to be explored.
For all the talk of the game training kids to be car thieves and murders, what this game really gives you is the freedom to decide what you want to be, and how you want to act. To complete the game, you'll have to beat up and take out some scumbags, but beyond that the random destruction is up you to.
But enough philosophy and politics, the bottom line is, this game is FUN."

"THE ABSOLUTE BEST PURCHSE EVER!!!!!This game is so amazing with stellar graphics. Not only that but it has an amazing story line. Also the multiplayer is AWSOME!!!! I knew this game was going to be amazing so thats why i bought the special edition but i didnt know that it was going to be this great. "I have played all the Grand Theft Auto games except for PSP versions. I must say since GTA 1, 2 and London Rockstar has came along way. The game will feature a great multiplayer with many types of game modes. The graphics alone are outstanding, even better its Rockstars idea of a modified New York city. With days possibly even months of gameplay this game sure will have replay value. Hopefully this game lives up to the hype and leaves all its competiting games in the dust. If your a big GTA fan this package is a must have, get it soon because I am sure this special edition wont be around to much longer."

"The Grand Theft Auto series,for me, has been the best series.This will just boost my opinion.Totally new AI,Wanted, and damage systems will make this game even better. So just get this game either for the Xbox 360 or the PS3. They will pretty much look the same on both, but the Xbox 360 will have episodic content downloadable from the Xbox live marketplace. It is said to have up to 10 hours of game play each and 2 have been confirmed but they said "We hope people will play for years", which implies more episodic content to come but it is most likely not to be free. Also the multiplayer will be a huge plus."
