What's great about it: Great for the price!

"With the audio in port, I connected my computer up to it, from there I can bass boost, and change the EQ. When I shoot a sniper in my game, My desk jumps, and is extremely loud. The little 8" sub does great! So far, everyone I have showed it to, they loved the bass in my pc. What i'm doing soon, is getting a audio-in/out splitter, and connect my tv, and many more object into the system. The only thing I would like better, is if I could change the EQ myself, not have preset EQ's."

"well after reviewing all the systems in the store this is the best one you can buy for the amount of money (plus it was the highest i could afford). it has great bass and will literally rattle stuff of the walls. and it is SONY so it will last for ever. it is plenty of a stereo for a 15 year old"

What's great about it: Sound quality is incredible for the price! plug computer right in!
What's not so great: has eq settings but no manual setting, must eq the music before burning and use mp3 surrender setting

"Wow! awesome stereo for the money! speakers are only sent the right ranges of sound. different wires for different speakers within the same speaker box. No distortion. I was concerned that a bookshelf system would not give the sound that I wanted. This thing really did knock pictures off my walls, buzz lamps, and otherwise vibrate things in the house. Once I had everything secure I was more able to enjoy it. simple plug from computer to stereo, I pod jack, and will play data format mp3's on a disk. Excellent Excellent purchase!"

"I wish these home audio setups came with longer wire for set up, it's not that expensive and it would really help in floor set up. The sound will make you hair stand on end, it's a great system to have and it is a SONY! It was money well spent. With the wires being so short, I'm not able to move parts of the system at different points in the room but other than that, it's great."

"After doing a lot of research, this model made the most sense and value for your money. It sounds great and has plenty of features for your teen or classroom, which is what I purchased it for. But the CD was broken after the first week. VERY disappointing for being a Sony product."

"after owning a panasonic system(sc-ak 630)and not really being satisfied i bought this and was impressed.any system can have alot of bass which this one and my old one has alot of but vocals and clarity are clearly all sony.this system has horn tweeters and a pretty strong subwoofer.ican honestly hear notes, words and insurments in songs with this system than with the panasonic that i could never hear before and it goes very loud and can handle any genre of music.i use for family parties and get compliments on the sound all the time which i never got with the panasonic.if your looking for a stereo for a fairly good price i would strongly recommend this one.plus sony is quality that lasts forver.sony is also the number one consumer rated corperation for electronics."

"I got this system about 3 days ago and I wasn't dissapointed. It was extremely powerful and has a very strong subwoofer that comes with it. Before, i owned an older version of the 50w hi fi Sony but it just didn't cut it. It was a clear sound, but weak. I recommend this to anyone with a low budget that wants something power-packed. Plus it's a Sony, so it'll last forever."

Perfect for Any Situation 07/31/2008

What's great about it: Sound Quality, Price, and Ease of Use

"I'm a college student so the first thing that attracted me to this set was the price. After my friend and I brought our ipods to the store and tested it out for a while, we realized its a system any person would love to have. The highs are great, the mids are better and the bass lines are literally perfect. The system can handle and type of music at high volumes, but for hip-hop, r&b, techno, its the perfect system. Also, for a couple of bucks extra, I'm going to hook this system up to my 32 inch Samsung LCD, so I will get great sound from either my ipod, movies or xbox. Great to have, and plus its a sony, so you know it will last forever.

Plus, its a great system for any type of music listener. Its easy to use, unlike some other stereos. Very user-friendly."
