Nikon Coolpix 10.0: An Overall Great Camera

What's great about it: Its screen is big, it takes excellent pictures, is small and very portable, it's heavy-duty, it has many great feautures
What's not so great: It can be slow, it can be confusing, it doesn't show you the battery power
"The first thing I thought when I opened my Nikon Coolpix 10.0 was, "This is so small! I'll break it in a few days, surely." Boy, was I wrong! This camera can be dropped and you wouldn't even be able to tell. It's a tough, little thing. When I uploaded my pictures to the computer I was in amazement. "This thing isn't even a professional camera! Look at these pictures!" It was so easy to take with me everywhere I went! It took me a couple days to completely figure out all of the incredible features, but when I did, I used them nonstop. They're great! I think I've expressed me view of this wonderful camera enough, and don't let the price stop you from buying this camera! You'd be shocked how much it's worth the money."

Slow and inconsistant

What's great about it: good quality pictures
What's not so great: features dont always work and the camera is slow
"Although the camer has some good qualities they dont always work. for example the blink detection NEVER worked even though i blinked purposfully to try it out. also, the smile recognition would take a long time to set up and after that it didnt always recognize when the object was smiling. the menus are confusing because there are different menus for each shooting mode, which makes things difficult to find. its also hard because the camera takes a while to process your request and is often behind when i push buttons. The battery indicator doesnt go off until the camera is dying. the picture quality is amazing but its not worth the money with all the other problems."

"Isn't the point of buying a 10 mega pixel camera is to expect really great image quality? Wrong, not with this camera if you don't want pixelated pictures and a pixelated display, steer away ."

Good modes but not a good camera

What's great about it: The modes are cool espcially the smile mode
What's not so great: Lens, no anti shake.
"When i first got this camera (2days ago) it looked really nice and all but when i tried to take a picture the screen seems blury and when i didnt even shake my hand when taking the picture it looked blury and while pointing at stuff you can see the really tiny pixal all over the screen i dont know if this is the camera problem or its a bad unit i'll use it for few more days and see if want to return or not"

What's great about it: Great Pics, big screen, fun features
What's not so great: navigation can be confusing
"I noticed a few things that people have said that I would like to clear up. I think these people may have not read the manual. There is a battery indicator but it only comes on when the battery is getting low or is really low, it is not on all the time. Also, you can view pictures without turning it on by holding down the play button, the person that said that must have been to impatient. Overall this is a great camera with excellent picture quality. The only downfall is the navigation menus are a little confusing but they will get easier over time, I just need to get used to it. I found it on sale and grabbed it right away so the price wasn't terrible. Hope this helps!!!"

"This was my first Nikon product and I wasn't impressed. The menu was difficult to navigate through and I'm not a beginner. Picture quality was poor. I does not offer features that comprable brands offer. I returned my camera after two weeks."

What's great about it: very easy to use and set up, great value for a 10 megapixel camera, smile shutter
What's not so great: specific rechargeable battery extra (if you want) is expensive
"This is the best camera I have ever owned. The pictures are extremely clear, and I love the sleek design and the fact that I can fit it right in my pocket. What's great about it: Good price for a 10MP point and shoot.
What's not so great: Macro is poor.
"I have been happy with this camera. It starts up fast and has long battery life. But, if you are going to take images with Macro, you may want to look elsewhere. This camera does not have a manual focus and when macro is used the camera can't focus on objects closer than probably 8 inches."
