What's great about it: Display looks nice while web browsing
What's not so great: Everything else
The stuff I could live with: A dead pixel in the lower left hand corner. The monitor adjustments are touch sensitive which is cool, but unless you look behind the monitor you have no idea which button your pressing, this makes adjusting the monitor a huge pain. The Westinghouse logo lights up and it can be rather annoying while playing games or watching movies. No DVI-D cable.
The reason I'm returning it: I noticed a lot of reverse ghosting while gaming. I read up on this issue and it looks as if it's caused by poorly configured overdrive. This is not something that can be adjusted and it's very very distracting.
Overall, if your a gamer then pass on this monitor. If you do not game then the good could outweigh the bad for you.

What's great about it: Looks great when it works
What's not so great: Breaks very soon after you buy it
I bought this screen about less than 3 months ago. Yesterday I went to my computer and the screen now flickers and the colors look like they are in 16 bit. Very Saturated! READ OTHER PEOPLES REVIEWS! This is happening to not just me. Sure its cheap.. and it has great stats for the money. But you are gambling with your money if you buy this.
By the way, the buttons on the side of the screen are a joke. Just because you can make touch sensitive buttons, doesn't mean you should Westinghouse.

What's great about it: Size and price.
What's not so great: ULTRA sensitive sensor buttons.
Careful with the sensors. They are ULTRA SENSITIVE! Any type of heat source will tweak out your monitor. I was trying to do my graphics homework for school and the heat from my lamp was turning my monitor off. I had to relocate my lamp. I thought that would of been it, but then it started again. I found out it was because of my router. The heat coming off my router triggered my power sensor turning it off when I was trying to work. So I had to relocate that too.
BUT GET THIS! Any type of heat will trigger it! It's always warm in my room because I have 4 PC's running. So if I don't have my fan on then the natural heat in the room will turn my monitor off.

What's not so great: Died pretty quickly - just past warranty
Worked great for a year, then flickering began at the top of the screen... gradually this consumed the screen... then it died...
I get what I paid for I guess....

What's great about it: Price
What's not so great: Speakers, display problems,
Do yourself a favor, please read the reviews first. I didnt... and honestly I got really lucky that the monitor started its flaws the day I hooked it up. The mouse was ghosting, and the display looked as though it was in VGA mode, although it wasnt. I'm not a technical guru... all I wanted was to have a monitor that was larger and didnt break the bank. The speakers are seriously a complete joke. I had my cell phone louder than the pair of two .99 cent "cans on a string" that Westinghouse installed in this mechanical nightmare. The display adjustment buttons on the side are touch sensative (no actual buttons, kinda infrored like) and where they are located is completly impossible to correct any display issues because you have to rotate the monitor around to get the "sensors". Bestbuys return policy is terrific, if you can catch the problems before the 14 day return timeframe. It always amazes me that Besybuy and places simular allows post like this, because I hope it defers anyone from purchasing this particular product.

I loved this monitor for the first 3 months then it wouldnt power on. I could see an image but the power light wasnt on and display look washed out like Windows in 16 color VGA mode. Tech support is a joke. you pay your money you take your chances, i paid 199.99 on sale, looks like i will pay agian for something else.

What's great about it: The look is very sleek!
What's not so great: The quality is poor!
WARNING!!!!!!
I have had this product for 13 days and around day 10 the color went out. I tried many attempts to fix it. The screen looked almost transparent (x-ray like) I then looked at the reviews (should have done this first) and noticed that others had the same problem. I am glad mine happened in the time frame that I can return it to Best Buy... (14 day return policy). I will not be purchasing another one.

What's great about it: For the price, great monitor. Reliable, sharp and vibrant gfx. Stylish Hardware, touch Sensitive "Buttons", DVI &S VGA
What's not so great: 3000:1 DCR, No Ports, built in speakers a joke (like cheap headphones turned all the way up- while at 100% volume)
Overall, this is a very good buy for anyone wanting to do anything in graphics, internet, or multimedia. I am a graphic artist by profession.
Beautifully crafted Hardware with touch-style "buttons" (no actual buttons, they are just little pictures you touch). Easy configuration and optimization. Has both DVI and SVGA connectors. For the same reason why you wouldn't buy a Canon or Lexmark printer over an HP, the Westinghouse brand is very durable and lasting (we use them where I work) and they are better than cheap run-of-the-mill Envision or emachine monitors anyday.
***Note: when first hooking it up, it defaults to 1000:1 contrast ratio- you MUST MANUALLY change it to 3000:1 Dynamic Contrast Ratio in monitor settings menu. Will be denoted as DCR in settings (to be turned ON), in case you didn't know where to find it.
Cons: Many monitors now are 10,000:1 DCR, but not usually at this price range- while this one remains 3000:1. This is a great monitor anyway.
Touch buttons on side of monitor (can't see them without leaning far forward and sideways to see what I'm doing).
BUILT IN SPEAKERS ARE AWFUL and should not have been included simply to bring price down by the $2 it took to add them. They are laughable at best and at 100% Volume, they are lower sounding than a pair of cheap headphones 3 feet away from you with volume up almost all the way. I use a 4.1 setup with a real 2.1 speaker system and by hooking up the built in monitor speakers as the rear 2 channels to give some ambiance.

The buttons that control power and menu functions simply stink. They're touch sensitive and therefore not elevated, making it hard to find them without turning the monitor to the side.

What's great about it: It's a nice paper weight
What's not so great: It's broke
I bought this two nights ago and it worked awesome. I loved it. then today I tried to fine tune the colors and the controls didn't work. So I returned it and got another. The second one worked until I restarted my computer and it could find the input. I know my GPU and DVI is good because they are connected to the monitor I'm using now. If you get a working model this would be a great monitor for the price. That's a big "if" in my book though. Look for another deal or go with a different company. Westinghouse is lame.

What's great about it: Excellent price, great picture, and very easy to set up and use
What's not so great: The side buttons are a bit tricky if they're out of site
We have had this monitor for about a month and have had no problems so far. It stood out in the store (both for image quality and for its sleek design), even against many of the higher-priced models, and it has not disappointed since we've got it home. Sure, my Mac monitor at work is better, but it's also some $900, I believe, and the difference is DEFINITELY not that notable. Also, as other users have mentioned, the menu/adjustment buttons on the side of the monitor are hard to use if you have the monitor positioned in a way so that you cannot look directly at them, but most people I know only need to really adjust a monitor the first time they take it out of the box, and these buttons are rarely used after that.
If you're looking for a great image at an extremely reasonable price (and aren't picky about speakers, or plan to use external speakers), I would easily recommend this model. Westinghouse continues to impress.

What's great about it: DVI, color, quality
What's not so great: button sensitivity, bad speakers
The monitor quality is very good for the price but the sensor on mine for the up arrow(quick volume menu) seems to be stuck because the volume adjustment screen will randomly appear so i had to move the menu to the corner to be out of the way when it happens. Otherwise, a good monitor with great colors. Hint: be very careful taking off the base if you must move it.

What's great about it: Price, dvi or vga, and did I mention price.
What's not so great: The controls on the side.
I bought 2 of these to go beside my samsung 24" monitor. They look great. For the price I would recommend these to anyone. It looked good even when I used it via the vga cable. I know have them hooked up using dvi "had to buy cable separately" and its even better. The only bad thing is that the buttons on the side of the monitor are a pain, but how often do you use them. I would recommend this to anyone.

What's great about it: Size, Weight
What's not so great: Controls, Adjustments, Ghosting, Bleeding, Blacks
Alright i bought this from other reviews thinking it would be a great monitor, and since it was suppose to be 2ms even though gray to gray. Thought it would be good for games. Well at first i loved it, then literally about 15 mins after using it, i noticed horrible ghosting anytime i would have firefox up and i would click another tab, Horrible ghosting would occur meaning a trail behind the mouse, rather a single image like a ghost following the mouse for about 10 seconds. Then in my games the same thing, except at all times pretty much. So i dooooooo NOT recommend this monitor at all to anyone.

What's great about it: BIG Monitor
What's not so great: no button monitor uses sensors as buttons
Monitor is huge 3,000 contrast ratio which is very nice for quility. I use it to watch dvd quility avi movie files and gamming. But if u have a custom computer and have video cards running in SLI (2 video cards working together as one). Make sure your computer has plenty of cooling fans, because if u run hi resolution like i do while playing some high end computer games like Crysis, COD4 etc etc your MCP (Southbridge processor) may over heat causing computer to reboot. I fixed this by installing a 120mm fan blowing between the video cards to cool the MCP on motherboard. Also if you are new to LCD monitors make sure when cleaning ur screen use recomended wipes and cleaner or you can damage the polarized film on the monitor. I gave it 3 stars for design because of the sensor buttons.
Computer Specs:
AMD64 X2 6400 processor
4 GB DDR2 PC 6400 ram
1-320gb, 2-250gb, and 1-500gb hds
Dual Geforce 9600GT KO edition video cards in SLI

What's great about it: Upgrade from a smaller monitor
What's not so great: Same brand as my old monitor that died
I'm not a tech guy at all so I can't talk specs. I've only had this monitor for a week now and can't find anything I don't like yet. My old monitor was a 19" Westinghouse LCD that was left on more than it was ever off so I'm guessing thats why it died on me. When I went to Bestbuy I had intended on buying a 22" LG but they weren't on sale anymore. This monitor was on display next to the LG model and the specs were identical except the contrast ratio but this model had a better picture and for a savings of almost $100 from the LG, I bought this one and I am very happy with it. I didn't think it was going to be a very big difference from the 19" I had but when I got home and set it up...wow, huge! I love it. For the price and quality, I would have to say this was the best deal they had.
