This vacuum is a godsend in tiny spaces. I've an 11' x 8' living room and a pet rabbit. This Dyson does a great job cleaning up after the rabbit, hay and all, as well as being extremely easy to maneuver. I needn't pick the vacuum up off the floor to angle it into nooks and crannies--instead, it turns on a dime and makes vacuuming a breeze. My former vacuum was an Hoover WindTunnel, which picked up debris equally well as does this Dyson, yet the Dyson is much quieter (especially appreciated by my neighbors--I vacuum frequently). Moreover, the Dyson is much easier to steer within the apartment. It easily swerves directly next to and around the circular base of my glider rocking chair as well as around a tiny water dish. No more sawing motions to vacuum. "Roller ball technology" is a huge plus. I do admit prefering bagged to bagless vacuums, as I find some debris gets stuck within the bagless canister and requires me to get my hands dirty to pull it out, not to mention my breathing in some dust as I empty the canister. If you're already a convert to bagless cansiters, I wonder if this would be much of a concern, as I doubt there's much difference in how bagless canisters empty. I was a little surprised that the Dyson vacuum wasn't made of sturdier plastic, and the Telescope Reach wand is probably great for extending one's reach to the ceilings but I find its length a deterrent to easily hand-vacuuming nearby surfaces, as mentioned in some other reviews citing the "stiffness" of the wand. Luckily, the crevice tool can also be used without the long wand, and attached directly to the more flexible hose, so, with a little extra work, there is a way around this drawback. Overall, I'm thrilled with my purchase exactly because of the ease of steering it; it maneuvers wonderfully and has great suction . I would purchase a roller-ball Dyson again.

We were tired of spending $60-$80 what seemed like every couple of months on the other "get-me-by" vacs. They just kept breaking after very limited use. After yet another one broke down after about the 4th or 5th use, I marched right down to Best Buy to pick up the DC25. Wow! It made it seem as though all the other vacs were just in here making noise by the way it filled up the cannister over and over again...during the FIRST use!
What's great about it: Power, Design, Easy to set up
What's not so great: Big Price Tag

This is a great product and I would recomend it to anyone. It has really good suction and it even does well picking up the loose dirt on my hard wood floors. I really like the fact that I don't have to buy bags, I just dump the dirt out and I'm set.

I didn't know how dirty a carpet can get within a few days. With the see through cannister, now I clean my carpets every other day.
What's great about it: The suction is outstanding.
What's not so great: A little heavier than my last cleaner.

I got so sick of buying parts for my Eureka over and over and over again. Being out of commission for who knows how long was terrible especially when you own a 70 lb lab that sheds! I heard all great things about dyson from my friends and family. I know it's expensive for a vaccuum but after you see what this thing can do, you wont regret the buy. Plus it comes with a 5 year warranty. The only thing i dont like about it which i already knew prior to buying because my friend has the same one is that the hose is kind of stiff. It stretches but you have to hold the vaccuum in place otherwise it will move everytime you extend the hose. Other than that, i dont have anything bad to say about this vac. I was going to buy a kirby which can cost up to 1000 dollars but i am glad i went with the Dyson instead. My carpets look cleaner and cleaner everytime i use it! love Dyson!
What's great about it: suction, menouvering, styly, convenience, user friendly
What's not so great: the stiff hose

Bought thhis on Cyber Monday sale and am very impressed with the suction, I was shocked at how much dirt my old vacum had left behind. Well worth regular price, but I got a great deal on this machine, I am very happy with it!

Although the dyson is pricey it definately preforms well. The vaccum will find the dirt left behind by your old vaccum. The ball design also makes the vaccum very easy to manuver around furniture and such. The only downside is when using the hose it wants to recoil and will pull the vaccum over.
What's great about it: Does a great job of cleaning in a single pass

This does a surprisingly good job. I thought it seemed a little cheap since it's all plastic and doesn't seem all that durable. I have only had it a month but have been impressed so far. I am afraid of a short lifespan given all the plastic parts.

Works well on hardwood and carpet. Also very useful for cleaning the dust off the air-returns.
I do wish they had a longer pointier wand for cleaning out the lint in the crevices around the clothes dryer lint trap. It also is a lot quieter than my Hoover which I passed on to my mother-in-law.

I suffer from Asthma and Allergies and have an American Eskimo for a dog in the house.
This thing just picks up everything. Originally, I wanted the Animal DC 25; but got this on a great BF deal instead.
You literally see the house dust and the dog hair being sucked right out of the carpet or hardwood floors. I tend to breathe easier after use, requiring I take less medicine which is good for my liver!
The cleanup is a breeze it’s a two step process take the dust container out of the vacuum and open the top lid. Oh and no bags to buy.
Highly recommend, don’t look just at the price when buying.

I received this vacuum cleaner as a replacement to my Hoover Windtunnel, which bit the dust after 2 1/2 years. We have gone through about 5 vacuums in the past 3 years, so I guess we're rough on them. This vacuum stopped working and I couldn't figure out why, so I finally decided I wasn't going to spend another $400 on a vacuum. It wasn't too difficult to figure out what was wrong, there was a tube that came completely off which supplied the suction to the vacuum. The hard part was getting it back on securely which took about 1/2 hour. It doesn't work like it should for only being used for 3 months, but it at least has some suction. The other thing that is annoying is that if you touch the vacuum against anything while you're vacuuming it makes an awful noise that always scares the ^&*% out of me. I never write reviews, but I certainly read them, so I thought I'd put in my 2 cents.
What's great about it: Not much

Love my new vacuum and the ease it brings to the chore. Does a good job on concrete floors and carpet. Easy to empty dirt which is almost every other time I vacuum. It is what it claims to be and ease of use is not overstated.

I love my Dyson!!!! I will NEVER buy a different brand. The first time you use a Dyson, you'll be shocked at the amount of crud it pulls from your carpeting, even if you have always vacuumed regularly. There are little tiny dust particles in the dirt cup - stuff that no other vacuum could ever pull out. I put baking soda on my carpeting a while ago to freshen it up and the Dyson is pulling that up - something my old bagless vac didn't get in the preceding 4 months or so.
One great feature is the tools that are on the vacuum - and actually stay there because they clip into place. No more losing the crevice tools & brushes because they fall off. My only complaint would be that the want is a little difficult to use because with the handle it's long and inflexible, but if you use just the hose it's too short.
What's great about it: Super-strong suction, easy to empty, tools stay in place, ball is cool
What's not so great: The extension wand isn't too convenient, but if using just the hose it's too short.

I never got excited about a vacuum cleaner before getting the DC25. It has amazing suction. The first time I used it I was surprised how much dust and pet hair was in the carpet. My old Eureka (RIP) couldn't come close to the Dyson. Being able to use the telescoping wand to clean air return vents and ceiling fans is pretty amazing too! They might be expensive but no doubt Dyson is the best on the market....well worth the money.
What's great about it: Design, ease of use, suction
What's not so great: Cant clean tight areas like in your car due to the design of the telescoping arm.
