What's great about it: Everything
What's not so great: Nothing
"This monitor is awesome! compared to the 19" dell that I look at all day at work, this LG blows it away. The specs are off the chart with the 2MS response time and the 10000:1 contrast ratio, the pictures are super clear and sharp. The price is excellent also compared to simliar monitors with less performance."

What's great about it: Large screen
What's not so great: Text is horriible
"I just returned a Hanspree...thinking this was an upgrade. I was so wrong. The text barely readable no matter what you adjust it to. I am definately returning this........our family all has headaches from this monitor.... real physcial headaches. I should just get the cheap Hanspree we had in the first place. It was clear as clear could be."

Good deal for the money

What's great about it: Price, easy setup, works with a MAC

"I bought this monitor yesterday, on sale. It worked with my macbook, so that was great. However, who ever designed the thing needs to take a class. White/grey lettering for the menu buttons on top of metalic grey paint - I needed a flashlight to see which button to push. Also, scrolling through the menu options was a little tough to get to where I wanted. I had to do a lot of custom setting to get the quality picture I wanted.
After a few manual settings, I had a crisp and good picture (using the VGA cable with a DVI converter since my 6 month old macbook use a mini-DVI port). I will go out an buy a DVI cable shortly, and should get even better picture quality. The reason I chose this monitor was due to te price and picture quality - for a non HD monitor.
Other than the flaws with the menu button design, you should be happy with this monitor."

What's great about it: Im no techie and I did it in less than 10 minutes!
What's not so great: Coming from the 100lb monitor there are no down sides.
"This was easy to connect. I hauled my 100lb monitor to the garage and I love this. The picture is crisp and it light and mobile. I would highly reccommend it. The price was great."

Calibration Sucked

What's great about it: Stylish, light, very bright, price
What's not so great: Calibration tools, cord management, color
"I bought this last week on sale and it was easy to setup. My plan was to hook both my PC laptop and my Mac Powerbook. The Mac screen calibration tools built into 10.5 worked like a charm, but I had difficulty calibrating it for my newer HP laptop.
It would end up too bright, or the color would shift dramatically from top to bottom, very frustrating. Also, the on screen menus were hard to navigate.
I'm going to stick with it for another week or so and may consider exchanging it for something else.
Decent monitor for the price, perhaps you won't have as much trouble as I did setting up the calibration."

What's great about it: Easy Installation and Great picture quality

"Total time out-of the box, hooked up to the computer, and functioning the way I wanted was less than an hour. The instructions were easy to follow and the tips for customizing to the way I wanted the display to work were outstanding.
Excellent for viewing videos. Decent refresh rate and great picture quality for the price. I'm not a gamer so my needs are less stringent than theirs. If you are looking for a great monitor that covers the basics associated with non-gaming activities, this one provides a good bang for the buck."

"I just updated to a flat screen monitor and was so disappointed after
setting it up. While the picture quality is FABULOUS crisp and sharp,
the text is illegible and gave me a headache after a few moments. I
went back to BB and an awesome associate hooked up the demo model to a
computer so he could see the screen and he too was shocked by how fuzzy
and out of focus the text was. We both tried adjusting pixelation,
settings, contrast, color etc. to no avail.
As I'm in school right now, I need to be able to look at a clear
screen as I type papers and do online research....For movies and
videos, it's great though."

Great Quality at a Great Price

"Very simple to set up and the image quality is excellent. Easy to fine tune it. Got mines paired with another LG 19" monitor I bought a while back with the two hooked up to a BFG Tech 8800 GT video graphics card. Now I have double the room to work on my desktop. This is a great deal when you catch it on sale."

What's great about it: Great picture and detail, nice contrast ratio
What's not so great: Did not come with DVI cable, just VGA
"This is a great monitor. It has an incredibly detailed picture quality and the high contrast ratio makes a huge difference in both picture quality and detail.
I use this monitor primary for gaming and I now see details which I never saw before ever! Makes older games fun to play again! The fast response rate is also great for gaming, absolutely no ghosting!
Only downside is that it didn't come with a DVI cable so I now have to spend more money to buy one (using a VGA cable in the meantime). However, just with VGA the quality is superb, can only imagine how much better DVI will give me!"
