"After many many years my excellent trouble free D-Link router died, so I went to Best Buy to buy another one, but they didn't carry D-Link on their shelves any longer. So I had to buy this Linksey version. This Linksey router has been a royal pain since I bought it. It loses signal all the time and I have to constantly reboot it. This Linksey router has cost me many eBay auctions because it has dropped the signal when I was trying to bid. Do not buy this little hunk of junk!"

What's not so great: Horrible Range, DROP, DROP, DROP, DROP, DROP SIGNALS
"Now i have had 3 linksys router, finally had to give it up, I went for belkin N+ router which is working fine.
This router has a horrible range, it was easy enough to set-up but would NOT work beyond 10 feet of the router, what is the useless of being wireless?
I have had it with 3 linksys routers none of them have been long-lasting, let me try this belkin router and see."

What's great about it: Easy to set up, works great!
What's not so great: Kind of slow, but that's probably just my internet connection.
"I have to admit, I am completely computer illiterate. All I know is I had my laptop and my PS3 and I was sick of pullin out that ugly blue Ethernet cable every time i wanted to go online. So i picked this up at the suggestion of a Geek Squad girl, put the disc in my laptop and it was set up in about 5 minutes with security. I bought it about a month ago and haven't had to reset it at all yet. Now I will say I have a tiny house (700 square ft.) so I'm not sure about the range, but this thing works great. Definitely had everything i needed to run my PS3 and laptop."

What's not so great: It's G, not N. But that's another story.

What's great about it: Great router
What's not so great: Tech Support Poor
"I have the older WRT54G router hooked to 1 Mac desktop,1 apple laptop, 2 hp desktop and 1 ITouch in the basement of my 3 story home. This router has been running for 6 years and I have had no problems. The router in hooked up in my basement and the 2 macs are on the 3rd floor and connect very fast and never a connections problem. No matter where I go in my home to use the computer there has never been any connection problems with this router. It has great range. I do not think that you will go wrong buying this router. Hope this review help."

What's great about it: Easy to set up. Good close range.
What's not so great: Range is weak. Other floors of the house only get a weak signal.
"I was surprised at how easy it was to set up. I am not high tech and I was done in 10 Minutes. The range is not good. I have a split level house. It is on the main floor. It works fine there but up in the bedrooms it is weak (sometimes none) and same thing in the family room below. Upstairs, we can actually get a stronger signal from our neighbors than from our own."

What's great about it: Ease of Set Up. Easy Installation. Strong Connection.
What's not so great: I haven't had any problems with this router as of yet.
"I thought I was going to have more problems that I did when I took a chance on this Linksy's Router. Every brand name had some people who gave problematic reviews with their product. I decided to go with the Linksy's as most have said they are the best brand name for routers.
I look the router right out the box. Read the instructions. Connected the Ethernet cable to my Modem and PC through the back of the router. Played the Installation CD and it found my connection within minutes. It works great with WIFI for my Iphone and PC. Recommended."

"This was the fastest set-up for a router that I have ever encountered. I had bought a NetGear router and a Belkyn similar to this one, and ended up returning them. The main reason that I bought this router was because of the sleek design and the lack of external antennas. I have two cats that love to chew on the antennas and this worked out quite well. I recommend this product highly."

What's great about it: Easy Setup, Works flawlessly with multiple computers and printers
What's not so great: I haven't found any negatives to date.
"The set up only took 10 to 15 minutes. I have 2 computers with Windows XP and 2 with Vista. All network flawlessly. When a friend comes over with a computer, access is very simple... just need to type in the access key. I have had this router for about 2 years and not one glitch. Recently, I setup the same router for a friend (with windows 7) and had it up and running in about 10 minutes. So far his is performing perfectly. I can only give a positive recommendation."

What's great about it: Plug and play, range, simple
What's not so great: Nothing
"I've had this router for 3 years and it has performed flawlessly. I have one computer, a PS3 and Wii routed and they run seamlessly together. I've had no connectivity issues and it took about 10 minutes to set up. I live in a 1950 sq ft ranch style house and I have coverage throughout with no gaps; it even works about 30 ft away from the house. I'm very pleased with this product."

What's great about it: Haven't had any dropped signal problems that I read about in other reviews
What's not so great: disk for finding the signal was useless
"I read some mediocre reviews about this product but during the Christmas rush I was sort of in a bind. I figured I could exchange it after Christmas if it didn't work. I had never used a router before, but set up was easy (I also have a VOiP phone). The disk that came with it didn't work ( like a few others mentioned). As soon as I verified the wireless connection on my computer, it found the signal.
It has never dropped the signal and hasn't slowed down my broadband service.
For the price, can't beat it."

What's great about it: Easy install, works with Vista 64-bit
What's not so great: a little more bulkier than expected but I can overlook that
"Easy to install, installation works with Vista 64-bit unlike most that don't. Has been working good so far(2 months). I just went to pick up a router from best buy that costs <$70. The netgear router seemed smaller but the installation CD does not support 64-bit Vista which most computers now have. Exchanged it for linksys, I have used linksys router before and it worked for 3 years before it died.
The install was easy and I use it for two laptops, works without any problem so far."

What's not so great: greta performance but I have had the net go off once or twice in a month spontaneously
"Some 8-10 years ago I bought the same kind of linksys product at twice the price and with worse performance. This one costs about $50 but is much easier to install (took me about 10 mins and I am really bad at doing these things) and seems to be very reliable so far. Hope it lasts long. One suggestion - set up your own password (26 character), this really makes a difference when setting up new computers to connect via the wireless router."

What's great about it: Setup along with all other linksys products is easy.
What's not so great: The thing constantly restarts.
"Maybe I just got a bad unit or something, But all the thing would do is reboot. Enjoy the internet, then get disconnected. First it was every once in awhile, but however it grew more and more frequent. Untill it met the trash can. It's not bad for the price, Like I said maybe I got a defective one, but I've gone to Linksy's website and it's in a forum, so it's happened before. Upgrade from this one I would recommend."
