I bought this 1080p tv two weeks ago to replace a 720p tv because I had recently purchased a blu-ray player. My 5 blu-ray movies never looked better. This tv is very user-friendly and has lots of inputs, 3 of which are HDMI. I would recommend this tv to anyone looking for 1080p resolution for less. Happy Shopping!!

I VERY SELDOM WRITE REVIEWS BUT I READ THEM ALOT BEFORE I SPEND THE KIND OF MONEY THIS TV COSTS, BUT IN THIS CASE THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS REALLY IRKED ME SO HERE IS MY OPINION. ALL IN ALL THIS IS A VERY GOOD TV AND IS WORTH EVERY CENT COMPARED TO ANY OTHER SET. IT HAS A GREAT PICTURE AND ALOT OF FEATURES. THE LACK OF A UNIVERSAL REMOTE IS THE ONLY LITTLE THING THAT BOTHERS ME BUT THATS MINOR. I BOUGHT IT FOR MY BEDROOM AND IT FITS IN PERFECT. I HAVE A 42" SONY IN MY REC ROOM AND THE PICTURE QUALITY IS AS GOOD IF NOT BETTER. LET ME DISPELL SOME OF NEGATIVE COMMENTS. I HAVE CABLE AND THE PICTURE IS FINE ON ALL CHANNELS SO IF U HAVE SORRY CABLE YOU WILL HAVE A SORRY PICTURE. THE PERSON WHO COMPLAINED ABOUT THE BLUE LIGHT UNDER THE LOGO, IF YOU LEARN TO USE THE MENU BUTTON YOU WILL SEE THAT YOU CAN TURN IT OFF. AND 2 ALL THOSE WHO HAVE PROBLEMS WITH LOST OF PICTURE OR POWERING IT ON, I THINK YOU JUST HAD A LITTLE BAD LUCK, BUT I AM WILLING TO BET SAMSUNG WENT OUT OF THEIR WAY TO FIX IT. ALL IN ALL IT'S A GREAT TV SO DON'T LET THE NEGATIVE COMMENTS STOP YOU FROM BUYING A GOOD TV.
What's great about it: GREAT PICTURE, QUALITY PRODUCT
What's not so great: NO UNIVERSAL REMOTE

Overall the television is great. i bought this tv online for a steal at $497.99. i had it sent to me from the states to my location here in iraq.[im a contractor not a soldier in need of a 32" flatscreen] it has many features that come along with it. setup of the tv was easy. as soon as you turn it on it takes you through the basic steps. colors are deep and true. i use it mainly for my playstation 3 via HDMI connection, as there is no HD reception here, i cannot comment on the HD receiver quality. but id my regular dvds look good on this thing, i can only imagine what it looks like with an HD receiver.
I see that people complain about the sound of this tv. its actually not that bad. if you play around with the internal equalizer you may achieve the settings you are fine with; but what did you expect to come out of a 32" television? 7.1 surround?
What's great about it: Picture, deep colors, easy setup, tv features, sound not so bad.
What's not so great: lol, wasting 2 min to attach the stand!

Got this TV after Thanksgiving for only $400 and it was the best purchase ever. It has a great picture and was fairly easy to set up. Attach some rabbit ears and you get a good digital signal and also works great with video games, blue ray, and an hd direct tv reciever. Good buy overall.
What's great about it: Great Picture, Good Digital Tuner
What's not so great: Built In Speakers So-So

We thought we had hit the Jackpot when we purchased this TV in August 08. Beautiful styling, gorgeous picture, lots of nice features ----while it lasted. The TV went black 4 1/2 months later on Feb. 5. We have GeekSquad Insurance and called them but the earliest that they would have someone in our zip code would be Feb. 17! On the 17th the GS person came up and changed a panel but it didin't correct the problem and said he would order another panel and return. I called GS about a week later and was told someone would come on March 2 but because of the snow storm the date was changed to today (March 4). He did come and really worked hard but for some reason the TV is not able to be repaired. Now I am awaiting permission from the GeekSquad to return the TV to BestBuy. Everyone we spoke to or dealt with from GeekSquad was polite and helpful and really tried to help us.
On a more positive note, we also purchased the Samsung 26A450 around the same time and it has been just grand in every way.
What's great about it: Picture was great while it lasted
What's not so great: TV went black after 5 months

This TV was a great buy but now I can no longer turn my TV on and based on the conversation I had with Samsung and the service company who plans to repair it, this is a common problem. I suggest to everyone if you purchase this TV to get a warranty with Best Buy or Samsung! I was lucky that this problem occurred before my year's warranty was over but I had planned to get an extended warranty with Samsung before my 11 month of ownership. I have seen other stores sell this model and I thing everyone should be aware of this defect in this TV otherwise it is a good deal.
Get the warranty with this TV or you will not be a happy camper.
What's great about it: It does what it should do
What's not so great: Can no longer turn the TV on after 8 months of purchase

Not sure if I have been spoiled by 37" Panasonic Viera LCD 1080p TV, but the sound quality on this TV is pretty bad. There doesn't seem to be any bass. The sound is high pitched and a little annoying. I noticed it right away when turning the TV on.
Also, because its on a pedestal you can see the wires behind the TV from the front.
However, the picture quality is very good.

I bought this in December of '08 from Best Buy for the lowest price they have offered on this TV to date and I could not be much happier with my first HDTV purchase. The picture quality of HD programs is amazing, beautiful really. If you are a sports fan or action fan, be warned, because this TV only has a refresh rate of 60Hz ( most of them currently do ) you will see some pixelization on moving images ( football players, action sequences, etc. ). I was not fully prepared for that fact, but it really does not bother me anymore. This is a great HDTV for the price, 3 HDMI inputs, nice design, swivel stand, and a beautiful picture, you really cannot go wrong with this TV.
What's great about it: Beautiful picture quality, easy setup, good price, good looking, 3 HDMI inputs
What's not so great: no memory card slot for pictures and videos, USB interface has limitations.

I've liked this TV a lot so far. We have a 42" Samsung plasma in the living and that's what made me want to purchase this. Samsung has the best looking picture compared to other tv's that I've seen at the store. I've paired this up with my 80gb PS3 I got for Christmas and it looks amazing in 1080p. Blu-ray movies and also games that have 1080p video output just looks stunning. Playing games like COD: World at War makes you feel like your in the game. Worth the money in my opinion, but check it out yourself before you buy and you tell me what you think.
What's great about it: Looks great and back-lit remote control makes it easy to use
What's not so great: Sound quality

Don't buy this product. It has a design flaw that interferes with the cable box remotes (COX, comcast and time warner). You will not be able to control your cable box with your remote when the TV is on. Research for yourself on the web

What's not so great: Design flaw makes it incompatable with many cable boxes

I PURCHASED THIS TV SIX MONTHS AGO. I HAVE OTHER LCD'S IN THE HOUSE BUT THIS ONE TAKES THE CAKE. IF YOU DON'T MIND A FEW SECONDS FOR IT TO TURN ON, THEN I REALLY DON'T HAVE ANY CONS. IV'E READ AND DISCUSSED THE VOLUME SITUATIUON WITH THE SALES PERSON BEFORE PURCHASING AND HE TOLD TOLD ME THAT IT ALL DEPENDS ON THE SET UP YOU HAVE AT HOME. I PERSONALY DON'T FIND IT TO BE A REAL ISSUE, BESIDES I AM PLANNING TO INSTAL SOME SPEAKERS FOR THAT SUROUND SOUND FEEL. THE SOUND QUALITY IS FINE AND THE SET UP WAS PRETTY MUCH EASY. I SUGGEST TAKING A SOME TIME TO READ THE PAMPHLET .
What's great about it: EVERYTHING!
What's not so great: IT TAKES TEN SECONDS TO TURN ON.

I would recommend this tv to anyone looking for a great tv. It works best in a bedroom because it is not very big. The picture is ideal. I get nothing but compliments on it.
What's great about it: Picture is great. Blu-Rays look even better. Got it for $699 on sale, can't beat that.
What's not so great: When you turn it on, the remote does not work instantly. It takes about a minute to get going. Nothing too big!

I purchased this tv last Friday on Jan 16. I've been searching around since new years for a new tv for my bedroom. I had a normal tube tv/dvd/vcr combo and wanted to upgrade to an LCD. Through my searching I discovered this beautiful Samsung 32in LCD. The best part about it, is that it is a full 1080p. Its picture quality is by far the best of all the 32in LCD on the market. The blacks and colors are so true and bright. There are so many extra outputs and not to mention 3 HDMI. So easy to setup. The TV normally cost around $950 so if you can get it on sale definitely snag this up. I purchased it on sale for $799. You can't beat that cost. I've read a lot of reviews about its sound being very poor. So far I have no complaints. Its in my bedroom with no surround sound and I have an Xbox 360 and Samsung Blu Ray player hooked up to it. Great for movies and gaming. The sound seems fine to me. Maybe it isn't as good in a large family room(haven't had it in one) but it is great in my room, so I have no complaints. This is my first LCD and I can't get enough of it!
What's great about it: Great picture, Great looking TV, easy setup, great size, n price for full 1080p. Plenty of extra inputs, 3 HDMI
What's not so great: Nothing at all.

I needed a smaller TV for a living area that had no surround sound system. So everything from the picture to the sound were very important. I chose this TV because of the extensive assortment of inputs, including the USB and multiple HDMIs. I wanted to go up to the 650 version, but it's only really available online, and for the few add'l features of that one, I didn't think it was worth it.
I read reviews about the audio on this TV sounding "tinny", and I hoped that it wouldn't be that bad... but it was. It really, really was.
The audio truly sounds like it's coming out of a small tube instead of a nearly $800 television. My 20" Zenith tube TV from 1992 sounds far better than this shiny new Samsung.
Now, if you do have a surround sound system, then this TV will probably work exceptionally well for you. The picture quality in standard and high definition are terrific, and the colors seem very true to life. It handles motion just about as well as any 32" TV.
It's very thin, the menus are great, and it's just a great looking unit. But if you need the audio to come from this TV - and you care about having quality audio - please beware!
What's great about it: Picture and build quality
What's not so great: The audio is absolutely horrible
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This HDTV is the best on the market for this size and price range in my opinion. The picture is great for movies and games. I bought a PS3 as well and the games look great and the blu ray movies make you not want to settle for DVD ever again.
I do have cable tv through Time Warner and the picture on the HD channels is very good. Someone mentioned that not all channels look the same but that has nothing to do with the tv. The tv will only look as good as the quality of the recorded material. In other words if the TV show is recorded in standard definition it will be broadcast in standard definition regards of the fact that you are tuned into a HD channel. Same thing with DVD's. Upscaling/upconverting is great but far from the same thing as Blu ray quality.
Overall, I highly recommend this TV if you are using it in a room where you will be no more than 8 feet from the TV. Anymore than that and you really need to go with a bigger TV. You will lose some of the appreciation of what the picture offers at greater viewing distances.
What's great about it: Easy set up, good price for features & quality of the picture at $699.
What's not so great: The sound is not good at all.

This came highly recommend in a Consumer Reports review and I watched for a sale AND open box item. Got this for under $550 - a great buy. The picture in 1080 is very clear using the Directv slimline dish antenna and HD DVR receiver; even standard definition is clearer and sharper than with my old 27" tube TV. I have also tested Directv's forthcoming 1080p broadcasting and it was out of this world. Setup was easy and intuitive.
The one complaint is the speakers in the TV, which are middling. Fortunately, I use an audio receiver connected to a surround sound speaker system and turn off the in-tv speakers.
What's great about it: Sharp picture, excellent blacks, sufficient inputs
What's not so great: Sound from speakers

We looked at TV's for months, and when this one finally went on sale, we went for it. Its a great entry level TV, coming from a traditional tube TV, it was a great upgrade. The picture quality is great, color and clarity, its very user friendly, and is an awesome movie TV! I haven't found anything wrong with it with over a month of use.
