What's great about it: Surprisingly easy to use, with a lot of additional features not seen on a camera of this price. What's not so great: A bit small for people with slightly bigger hands.
"What a user friendly point and shoot camera. I normally use a Canon Digital SLR and have had a Sony point and shoot, which I was quite happy with, but after having used this, the Sony has remained in the drawer.
It's fantastic to slip in your pocket and go out partying. A lot easier than lugging around a SLR, but with a lot of usable features found on the SLR's. The colors are pretty true, and the pictures are pin sharp 98% of the time
I have found that it is a little bit small in my hands, and that there aren't any ridges or areas that act as grips for fingers, but this is minor and doesn't deter from the quality of picture that it can produce.
If you are looking for a great compact point and shoot, this is definitely a model to consider."

What's great about it: Image Stabilization at this price point. Smalll size What's not so great: Not high enough optical zoom
"Good point and shoot camera with the ability to manually set some functions for those hard to get situations. Imagine stabilization works very well. Surprisingly good pictures for such a compact camera. However, if you desire extremely detailed pictures need to move up to Canon's larger cameras which far surpass this model."

"This is one of a dozen different Canon PowerShot camera models that I own or have owned, and is by far the most superior of all. Adding the Image Stabilizer to this model puts it in league with its bigger, more expensive cameras, yet stays at its wonderfully compact size with extensive features. This 1100IS model also allows a larger-sized SD card than the previous Canon 1000SD, which allows for greatly lengthened shoot times before having to change SD cards or whichever of several different memory cards of your choice. The continuous shooting mode works great, especially when used without the flash, which does slow it down a bit. The manual setting allows you to create all imaginable photographic effects of the "big" cameras, as you can alter the shutter speed, the flash intensity, etc. to get those spectacular photographs. I would continue to purchase this camera, as I try my hardest to wear it out with constant use. It's holding up very well!"

"i love this camera!! i also own an earlier version of the powershot but found it bulky so i saved up and bought this one because of its look (although they say not to). i am pleased with the performance (which is more than i need to upload pictures online) and the really easy ways of doing everything. it looks great and is really handy!!!!"

What's great about it: This camera takes very high def pictures. and has very good face detection What's not so great: no so far!!!
"I use this when i go on trips and it captures color very well. I love the face detection feature on it. This way i can get everyone in the picture and nobody is blurry or super light."

"I have several cameras including other Canons. This one is the best. The pictures are excellent, videos are the quality of one taken with a Camcorder. The pictures taken in the natural light are excellent, taking pictures in the dark with the feature chosen to do so turn out excellent; Macro feature is also excellent, the Scene Mode Choices are excellent. Easy to use; has face detection and image stabilization; Canon thought of everything with this small but powerful camera; I can't say enough good things about the camera. Canon excelled with this one in quality in every way; has a stainless steel body. Best Buy offers good products at good prices, customer service is excellent. Free shipping and extras offered are always a good thing."
