Great TV for the money

What's great about it: easy install; picture for HD and SD channels; blue-ray movies
What's not so great: sound is different for HD and SD channels
"picked this TV up for $750 during Black Friday weekend..easy install and I'm not a tech-no person. Great picture for all types of channels and blue-ray movies. Only nit-pick issue is sound volume is much more muted with SD channels vs HD. Must always turn volume up when watching SD and turn down when moving to HD."

What's great about it: Picture's as good as my Sony XBR for half the price
What's not so great: Not all functions work with universal remote
"Bought this TV on sale for $750 in Nov. Picture is as good as my 37" Sony XBR for half the price. I've experienced none of the sound quality issues mentioned in other reviews. Only issue thus far is that I've been unable to program my universal Verizon remote using the defined codes or the code search to control all of the TV's functions."

LCD not as good as Plasma

What's great about it: Easy to set up, great price, sharp image, reliable brand
What's not so great: Blurring during fast movements, unrealistic colors
"Purchased for $750. I purchased a 42" Panasonic plasma a few months ago and it is better than this LCD in just about every way. The quality of this tv is better than most LCD's that I looked at, but I have been disappointed with how it compares to the plasma. The different shades of black blend together in dark scenes. It's only 60 Hz, which results in blurring while watching sports. Skin colors look really pink. The plasma was awesome right out of the box, but I'm going to have to work with the picture adjustments to get the colors more accurate on this LCD. The LCD is suppose to last longer though, we'll see. I definately trust Panasonic more than any other brand. This is an good tv, I would buy the 720p Panasonic plasma over this though"

What's great about it: Awesome picture, great price, great sound, easy to use/set up.
What's not so great: Stand doesn't swivel, remote.
"I bought this TV online from Best Buy about a week ago, they delivered it to my living room, took it out of the box, flattened the box and put it in my garage. What great service! This TV has a great picture, I hooked up my PS3 and all i could say was WOW! It was easy to hook up my PS3 and my surround sound as well, all the hook ups are in good to reach spots. When i have regular SD channels on my 40" Samsung LCD that's in the basement the picture looks awful, but with this TV they look great. Buy this TV now well it's on sale for $750 because it's a great deal. The only issues i have are that the stand doesn't swivel like my Samsung and the remote isn't the best. Other than that you can't get any better for the price. Buy this TV!"

"Researched this tv for about 9 months before pulling the trigger. It was ranked very high by Consumer Reports and read all the reviews I could find about it. I couldn't find a single one on display at any store so I bought this sight unseen and glad I did. I had an old Panasonic 27 inch tube tv and never had a problem so I decided upgrade to this 37 inch model. Picture quality is incredible, so lifelike, almost like you are there. Sound quality is also very good when set on surrond sound. Easy to set up and get running in no time. Also, got a great deal online thru Best Buy for $750 dollars. You cannot go wrong with this tv.."

"After Comparing this model in different store to other models for more than an hour.and viewing all the rating on LCD in Consumer Reports (they give this set a good rating) I ordered it from Best Buy.(on Black Friday )"I was tempted to go for the 40 inch but settled on the 37 inch instead and I am so glad I did.I hooked up my PS3 to this TV, and the graphics, motion, and clarity were AMAZING!!. "this was a good deal I got on this great tv. I might also add that the Delivery Time from Best Buy was too a Tee!!. :)"

What's great about it: Picture quality and sound are better then I had hoped.
What's not so great: Make sure the installer knows what he is doing and you won't find anything wrong.
"I wasn't happy with the picture after my Direct TV installer connected the TV but when I got another installer in the problem was corrected and I am very happy with the picture I am now getting. This TV is great for sports and movies."

"Consumer Reports gave this set a very good rating and it is very good.
We love this TV. We ordered it from Best Buy. Picked it up three days later.
Had it set up in about 30 minutes. The picture was perfect from the get go.
Good sound and good features. Love the SD slot for our pictures.
Very satisfied with our purchase."

"Bought this tv on 11/ 10 was delivered on 11/16 by best buy which is why I bought on line @ best buy . i had heard too many delivery nightmares thru ups ect..... took advantage of the no interest for 18 month deal .
The tv is great , after consulting consumer report they gave this tv their highest rating for its class . And it lives up to that rating . I have a small living room and this tv is perfect for me . If you are thinking of buying a 37 inch lcd tv look no further ."

What's great about it: Size, colors, configuration, HD tunner, Full HD, price...
What's not so great: No pc input, No pic in pic.
"I'm very happy with this TV, a good price, nice size for my room, great picture, nice sound, easy to use. The parental lock is good, a neat tv for all kind of use. I can hook up my ipod touch, I can use the s-video for my laptop. The home theater improves the ride!! I just need to buy my PS3 and start working at home!
The thing is, this is a great TV, I'm very pleased!"

"I was tempted to go for the 42 inch but I settled on the 37 inch LCD and I am so glad. This TV is perfect for my small living room. Out of the box, this unit looks great, sleek and black. I ordered it at the store and it took about 5 days to show up. The box fitted upright with an inch to spare into the back seat of my 2003 Altima, so I was able to avoid the delivery charge--panasonic actually gives the dimensions of their product boxes on their websites for those wondering if they can get it home. Don't count on laying it down though as they discourage that. I was able to lift it out of the box once it was home and open and place it on the TV stand.
I got the TV on sale for 999 and added the product protection plan.
Now for the TV...sound is great--make sure to turn on surround and turn off AI, the latter I felt lowered the sound. For picture, get rid of the vivid default and play with the standard mode to tune to personal taste. Actually I have left it in game mode view and that has been great.
The remote is okay but I use my Directv remote which is also compatible for the basic functons such as off/on and volume.
This Tv replaced a panny 30 inch 1080i CRT that is also a great product and which has moved to my basement in the kids' room.
Very satisfied."

What's great about it: This is the smallest 1080 you can find and you can put your memory card in it.
What's not so great: Its kind of expensive as compared to 42 inch tvs that are also 1080 full hd.
"A great high end tv for a smaller room. This is a perfect television for a regular sized bedroom that a giant screen would not fit in."

What's great about it: Easy to read and use remote, SHARP picture (HD is brilliant), easy to use menus, decent sound.
What's not so great: Generates a fair amount of heat for any cabinet storage.
"This is worth every penny. If you can get any more money off the $1200 price, or freebies, it is a great deal. We bought it at a $999, with free shipping and free Yamaha HD DVD player with picture upgrade.
We haven't used the DVD player, but in use with our PS-3, it ROCKS! This is an awesome TV for the price."
